these are very wonderful instruments, with no weakness at all regarding robustness or road use... Test them if you have the chance. These are jaw dropping guitars not only for their look.
Huge respect to you guys for showcasing smaller manufacturers that you probably won't ever have dealings with. Very impressed and very proud to be a follower/supporter of your work.
I love that yall took the time to show the little guys. That's where innovation really happens. Those Italian guitars were amazing as well as that Jersey Girl one. Marvelous!
The Italian builder at the end was very reminiscent of Wandrè guitars! I loved the metal body with the floating wood like the soundboard of an acoustic guitar!
These guitars are so much more interesting than a walk around the fender/gibson/ibanez stands. Andertons ought to consider supporting a few of these builders, their customer base is big enough to find buyers for them
My vote for coolest Winter Namm 2017 video! This is what I would be doing if I was there. Hats off to Andertons' for boosting awareness of obscure guitars they don't even sell.
Love the Danish Pete - keep up the great work guys 👍 Showing the boutique builders was a nice touch... can't believe the Italian one at the end ... I don't wouldn't know whether to drive it or make espresso ... too cool ... 😳
I'm loving all of these NAMM videos, good job Andertons! One thing... please send someone to look properly at all the basses. I know they're not Lee's thing but he's irritatingly dismissive... "oh that's just a bass..."
i have noticed that in some measure in alomst all of their namm videos. looks like the captain is throwin some passiveaggressive shade on pete because pete is an infinitely better guitar player . hahaha
I think Lee had the draw the line somewhere, as much as I enjoy them rambling on in their reviews.. there's usually some good background info thrown in. I could see these namm vids having been 1.5hrs each manufacturer if they spoke about every player, wood, finish.
I enjoyed that. It's great that you show some interesting things like that which Anderton's doesn't even sell! In case anybody else missed the name of the company that made the whacky guitars with the dolls and stuff inside, I think it's Spalt Instruments, from Vienna. Nothing to do with me - I was just curious.
Custom guitar stand. The last maker on the first stand that had the figures in are 'Spalt' guitars. He used to be based in the USA but has now returned to his native Vienna. I have a Spalt guitar and they are marvellous. Can be bought in the UK only at The North American Guitar.
Ha ha, when they are at the McSwain stand I was thinking "doesn't Les Hall from Crossfade have one of those?" And then he is literally standing there next to them. Awesome
some of the boutique builders were interesting, other than obvious art like appointments, i'm always interested to see fresh and unique thinking, when solving basics of tone and playability, i wonder if NAMM 2017 has an online resource where these micro builders can be found, with contact information .
Hugh Jackman makes guitars?? ;) it's really funny you guys mentioned the "orange" guitar thing...it's ALL I've been thinking about the last 3 days now...the Fender one you guys showed a few days back really made an impression on me@!@ The Viking guitar was super cool too...very fun video and so cool to see the creativity and talent from all these designers.
The boutique guitars look interesting and well made, but how do they play? They have to play as good as they look. Try some out if you get the chance. Paul Reed Smith was right, I'm an American--just across the Bay from Paul's factory--and Anderton has provided so much valuable, objective information in your videos. Love your videos. Well done.
Maybe, for next year, invest in a wireless system for your pics. You look a bit silly carrying around your spool of mic cable. I mean, if Fluff can do it on his budget, surely Anderson's can do it as well. As always, great stuff Captain.
Bryan Hopkins....I agree 100%. Anderton's vids kicked Ass this year!!! I heard Tone Kings post webcast and he seemed "deflated" by Andertons coverage. TTK used to pride himself as being first and putting out the most vids. He claims he's just doing only what he likes but I think we know that Andertons just basically kicked ass, no two ways about it. I think that Chapman incident really got to the best of TTK.
Please tell me you guys did as paul said and recorded the mayer session to be one of the videos.. Even if the thing was 45 minutes long I would watch the shit out of that.
Anyone know the name of the company that had the PRS style guitar with the green patina on the body and the very long neck joint? Just before they got to the guy from Iceland.
wish you would use 60fps for these videos. with all the fast camera panning you just see blurs. Also happened on other videos when you try to pan across a display of guitars it just becomes a blur
you guys should do more stuff on the jersey girl guitars ( JGHG) . they only have like 3 people working on all the guitars. check out their instagram, it's pretty interesting, they also have like a small vegetables farm. i always wondered how their guitars sound.
lol... I do enjoy your vids, but my goodness after seeing the Ibanez video & then this opener about Mayer, I found it odd that you guys seem to worship John Mayer, yet in the Ibanez video they flat-out quickly said "Bob Weir? I don't know who that is". HUH?? You do know Bob is responsible for Mayer having his current gig with Dead & Co., right? You whippersnappers these days!
+Muzikal Neuromancer After being 7 hours on their feet, walking the show, filming 10-20 videos, third day in a row, we are surprised they can remember their own names... ;).
Massive respect for you guys covering the small and independent guitar makers as well as the big and well-known ones. 🤘🏻✌🏻
Those Italian guitars were absolutely jaw-droppingly beautiful!
Joseph Benz They are but I'm a little afraid for their ability to hold up. They might have some fragility
Behave ,,,,,,,,,,,,
these are very wonderful instruments, with no weakness at all regarding robustness or road use... Test them if you have the chance. These are jaw dropping guitars not only for their look.
Lank The Hero Of Tom No, the Chapman Ghost Fret
Lank The Hero Of Tom the ones at 18:53 im pretty sure
1:38"If pussy isn't your thing, you could go with leopard."
-Captain Lee 2017...=D
Yoshiki G he shoulda called it "cougar"
That old Viking dude was awesome
Huge respect to you guys for showcasing smaller manufacturers that you probably won't ever have dealings with. Very impressed and very proud to be a follower/supporter of your work.
delightful instruments and nice of you to give coverage to these passionate and creative guitar makers
Those Italian guitars are absolutely stunning pieces of work 😍
People trying to photograph the guitars and these 2 guys just bust in and grab the guitars :D
A tip : you can watch movies at Flixzone. I've been using them for watching all kinds of movies during the lockdown.
@Kamdyn Kellen Yea, been watching on Flixzone for since november myself :)
@Kamdyn Kellen definitely, I've been watching on flixzone for years myself :)
@Kamdyn Kellen Yea, I have been using Flixzone for years myself =)
@Kamdyn Kellen yup, I've been using flixzone for since november myself =)
cheers for all the NAMM vids lads!
That Icelandic guy was a total dude. Valhalla!
Best video from Namm. The Italian guitars at the end seem so innovative yet classic!
Andertons have the best coverage of NAMM 2017!!!! - well done everyone.
Really love those "art" Teles with the coloured square scratchplate thing. Gorgeous
just amazing work from all the independent guitar luthier's.....bravo! great video!
That purple firebird... Just lovely!
Hot spring mud rubbed viking guitars.... did not expect that. What a creative bunch of builders. Great stuff
I love that yall took the time to show the little guys. That's where innovation really happens. Those Italian guitars were amazing as well as that Jersey Girl one. Marvelous!
SO COOL !...supporting the small guys !!!!!
"Iceland! You've come a long way!" - not as far as you, Lee. :D
That was freaking excellent. Great job Captain and Danish Pete!
Thank you ever so much for the NAMM coverage!
The Italian builder at the end was very reminiscent of Wandrè guitars! I loved the metal body with the floating wood like the soundboard of an acoustic guitar!
They are hammered out of their minds on this one. So lose and goose. Thumbs up.
Thanks for the tour, guys! Although I'm from Brazil, one day I'll visit Andertons and grab a guitar from you guys!
More of these random walk-abouts please guys. They're great. Saves me the air fare :)
Those Icelantic and Italian guitars are very cool!
Some pretty cool guitars there. I wish you guys would cover more stuff like this.
Thanx for that review guys!
"Maple top which is rubbed in volcanic mud". Those guitars from Iceland were something else!
Best part of the show you've covered! :)
Thanks Cap...loveya for doing this.
Love the Danish Pete - keep up the great work guys 👍 Showing the boutique builders was a nice touch... can't believe the Italian one at the end ... I don't wouldn't know whether to drive it or make espresso ... too cool ... 😳
There's so much interesting stuff there! The last guitars look like Jens Ritter guitars, amazing creations!
I'm loving all of these NAMM videos, good job Andertons! One thing... please send someone to look properly at all the basses. I know they're not Lee's thing but he's irritatingly dismissive... "oh that's just a bass..."
WobblyJackMcFruit you are a hero in my bassist eyes
They finally made it to the cool guitars!
nice job giving some love to the little guy's
God bless you for actually having good sound on the floor of a trade show. Can't stand hearing so much background noise in demo videos. Thank you!
The Di Donato Guitars are amazingly gorgeous! I better start saving up!
Am I the only one who thinks That Pete was getting ignored by the captain quite a lot throughout the video. Still great videos guys
i have noticed that in some measure in alomst all of their namm videos. looks like the captain is throwin some passiveaggressive shade on pete because pete is an infinitely better guitar player . hahaha
I'm sure it wasn't anything malicious or bad, The Captain is an absolute nerd when it comes to these things, I'm sure he was just getting distracted
Besides Not only is he geeking out, but he's also looking as a businessman and the owner of Andertons so that's even more on his mind
I think Lee had the draw the line somewhere, as much as I enjoy them rambling on in their reviews.. there's usually some good background info thrown in. I could see these namm vids having been 1.5hrs each manufacturer if they spoke about every player, wood, finish.
Completely agree with the orange guitar!! I just have some sort of orange jaguar type guitar!!
There's no getting away from the fact, handcrafted instruments are simply better in every way.
Top video guys :-)
jaw-dropping stuff right here
"What's that made of, Potatoes?" :D
I enjoyed that. It's great that you show some interesting things like that which Anderton's doesn't even sell! In case anybody else missed the name of the company that made the whacky guitars with the dolls and stuff inside, I think it's Spalt Instruments, from Vienna. Nothing to do with me - I was just curious.
I passed your video to Michi Matsuda and Scott Walker. They both want to say "thank you" for showing off their guitars.
Can you guys have a look at ormsby guitars? I really want to see this years new line. Thanks from Straya!
I'm at the NAMM Show right now as well. Some amazing custom built guitars around, but I think the Fender booth is my favourite for custom shops :)
Custom guitar stand. The last maker on the first stand that had the figures in are 'Spalt' guitars. He used to be based in the USA but has now returned to his native Vienna. I have a Spalt guitar and they are marvellous. Can be bought in the UK only at The North American Guitar.
Trying to find my regular vids between the overload of Andertons NAMM vids. Not complaining!
Cool vid u guys, cheers...from Scotland
Ha ha, when they are at the McSwain stand I was thinking "doesn't Les Hall from Crossfade have one of those?" And then he is literally standing there next to them. Awesome
some of the boutique builders were interesting, other than obvious art like appointments, i'm always interested to see fresh and unique thinking, when solving basics of tone and playability, i wonder if NAMM 2017 has an online resource where these micro builders can be found, with contact information .
You guys went through my Instagram feed in this video LOL
I'd love one of those Jersey Girl guitars. the first guitar I've seen that I've truly desired.
Kudos for including Jersey Girl guitars. The distributor guy is mistaken though - they are made by 3 women
Not at the start, was only 2 of them..
It would be cool if you followed up some day with the Lamborghini and Iceland guitar dudes. Love to see peeps like them succeed. :)
Italian Di Donato’s are amazing! 🤩 Also I dig the Jersey Girl homemade guitars’ Mayberlin 😏
This has to have the best commentary from the captain hahahahah
good work captain
"making guitars great again!" was a damn funny line!
AC Guitars Scotland!! Awesome!
Well done.
Beautiful guitars :D
Volt guitars are awesome, you should contact them. It's from a Dutch builder (Sander de Gier) who's mostly famous for his bass-guitars.
I played some killer guitars at last years NAMM built by an Italian company called Lengardo guitars.
the Catain is soooo freekin high on guitar stuff this Namm
Fast becoming the most popular video from Andertons...gee, I wonder why... :)
Maybe, for next year, invest in a wireless system for your pics. You look a bit silly carrying around your spool of mic cable. I mean, if Fluff can do it on his budget, surely Anderson's can do it as well. As always, great stuff Captain.
Ahaha I love how Ben appeared, what a beast
Hey guys, if you like boutique check out Denovo guitars, they're from the UK. Pretty different! Keep the vids coming!
Just checked out those Di Donato guitars on you tube.. they sound amazing. I didn't look at the price though.
What is the guitar company at 6:10? I want to learn more!
Anderson's NAMM coverage dominated everyone. I think Tone King gave up
yep... been on a steady diet of their feedin'
Brutus 632 what happened
get all the RUclips guitar gods together; Pete, Greg Koch, Phil X etc..
You guys need to check Wild Customs (Sauvage). Eye candy from France and killer tones.
4:18 pretty sure its supposed to be the head of the fox if you look at the whole thing. you read it on the card even :P its gorgeous.
The 500 hay mans is driving me insane..... AHHHHHHHHHH!
guitar heaven
Does anyone know the pricing of the Orn custom guitars from Iceland? Can't seem to find any info
facebook.com/OrnCustomGuitars/?fref=ts Here he is. Just give him a massage and you can make an offer that is usually how he works
Please tell me you guys did as paul said and recorded the mayer session to be one of the videos.. Even if the thing was 45 minutes long I would watch the shit out of that.
Ergon guitars are beautiful instruments
yeah!! volt guitars!!! check them out again! there really cool!
Anyone know the name of the company that had the PRS style guitar with the green patina on the body and the very long neck joint? Just before they got to the guy from Iceland.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! :-)
Any chance of checking out any Bad Cat amps?
Refreshing to see guitars that are not Gibsons or Fenders. Most I imagine could be considered as works of art and wiill probably be sold as such.
You guys should check GFI System. Great products.
A sharp eye can see Jason Lollar poking around the McSwain display.
A "Junior" with a tele neck? Sold!
You seen the pricing on the sauvage guitars? Totally crazy
you guys should check out Prisma Guitars! Recyled Skateboards put into proper guitars.
wish you would use 60fps for these videos. with all the fast camera panning you just see blurs. Also happened on other videos when you try to pan across a display of guitars it just becomes a blur
