Gamma Ray is easily one band that has had a huge massive impact in my life. I was a teenager back in the mid 90's. Since I was not a fan of alternative/ grunge bands that were very popular , I was looking for Heavy Metal bands that were obscure here in America but popular in other countries. Gamma Ray is one band that I found, and bought their Alive 95 live album first and loved it big time. I eventually bought all their albums , and loved them all, especially Insanity And Genius, and my all time favorite Land Of The Free. Ever since then Gamma Ray has been one of my all time favorite bands ever. Kai Hansen is easily one of the greatest songwriters to me along with others like Steve Harris and Jon Schaffer. Everything that Kai Hansen has ever been involved with is phenomenal to me. Bands like Helloween, Gamma Ray, Unisonic, and Iron Savior have amazing songs and albums because of Kai Hansen. Kai has also had many great musicians with him on everything that he has done. As much as I love Gamma Ray, I am happy that Kai Hansen is back in Helloween, and that he made a new album with them which he has not done since 1988. I do hope that sometime in the future that Kai does another album with Gamma Ray because I love them as much as I do Helloween. This song is and has always been my favorite Gamma Ray song. It still gives me chills and goosebumps just like it did the first time I listened to it 25 years ago. Sorry for the long reply, but Gamma Ray is one band that is extremely special to me.
If this was an Iron Maiden song, then it would be the only song to match Hallowed be thy name. This is the moment of perfection from extraordinarily talented Gama Ray.

Watching this reminded me of the feeling when I saw them play it live, and how it felt when the last verse kicked in (Now I'm riding through the air...) I felt like my heart was going to explode from the joy and energy. Thanks, guys.

From U.S. Rabbit Don't Come Easy was my reintroduction to Helloween after 10 years away from hearing them. Then got Treasure Chest. I fell in love with Kings will be Kings, Time of the Oath, Midnight sun. Andi Daris isn't the old singer. I think he did a lot to resurect Helloween frome where they were in the early 90's. PS: I'm a drummer so All Helloween is my love!!
