Elvis got ya hasn’t he? I have listened to Elvis since I was about 10 in the 50’s and I am almost 76 in a couple months and he still effects me like you are reacting. His voice, looks, his expressions, clothes his band and magnificent back up singers it all incorporates together and blows every song away! And he looks like he is enjoying himself and the whole thing, I like the way he looks at his back up singers they look like they really love each other, his voice is outrageous! His style is a mixture of all genres of music and he made them his own. That’s how he grew up. Others who worked with Elvis have said the rumors and negative things generally come from those who aren’t even close to what he did. If B.B. Great reaction! Elvis was not confident about this song - had so much anxiety that he'd forget the lyrics. That's why he brought them on stage. He knew them but just didn't have confidence. It was a new song added to his set list. But as you see, he nails it and delivers a beautiful performance. I agree with you. Some songs were written specifically for Elvis; some he covered. He did not "steal" music. In fact, this song, which was first turned into a hit by B.J. Thomas, was written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil who sold off the rights specifically for gifted singers like Elvis to adapt into their own.

I've been in love with Elvis since I was in the womb. My mom was a huge fan. I was a few months shy of 16 when he passed away. I screamed hysterically when they interrupted my tv program to announce his death and my mom came running out of her bedroom. I couldn't even speak through the sobs. As soon as mom realized what upset me, we were both on the floor holding each other as we cried.
The first 2 concerts I ever went to were Elvis in 1972. I saw him earlier in the year in Kansas then we moved to Arizona that summer. The second Elvis concert in Arizona was my birthday present when I turned 11.
Elvis was a gift from God that will never be duplicated replicated. The first time I saw Elvis live on my television was 1973 I was seven years old that was the aloha tour he was in Hawaii. My jaw dropped. I looked at him like superman he was superman to me truly amazing

I have loved Elvis for 40 years, my father was a big Elvis Fan, he actually dyed his hair back in the early 70's because he wanted to be like Elvis lol, anyway on the 23rd my father passed away , he was a Navy Vet, loved his kids , grandkids and his love for music, one of the cd's in his truck that he listened to every time he got into his truck is a classic Motown CD. I was hoping in memory of my father and of Elvis Presley if you could react to the Song (My Way) by Elvis and the song (Always on my Mind ) by Elvis. Funny u should mention the super hero when Elvis was a child he envisioned himself a super hero Captain Marvel as matter of fact. When u watch the movie you will get a better understanding of Elvis then in later 70’s he did add the capes for a while to his suits to give the aspect of the super hero they were gorgeous and added a glorious twist to his outfits. They were heavy though made his jumpsuits weight 50 to 60 pounds sometimes this is why he was sweating also a lot of weight to carry around. Heavy jewels on the suits, belt plus the cape yea a lot of weight. I loved the Ladder Suit we saw in the make the world go away video, then The Peacock Suit, Black Conquistador, Blue Fireworks, and the Orange Starburst. The American Eagle suit he wore in Aloha is I believe the most iconic suit he’s ever worn. TCB⚡️

Do you know this man learned of a crippled boy in Memphis and showed up at the boy's home that night with his entourage to deliver the best wheelchair medicine could offer at the time. Not to mention giving the boy a memory of a lifetime having Elvis show up unannounced and spending time with him in his living room. If he learned of a heartache he tried to ease the suffering, and he gave so much jewelry and so many cadillacs away as gestures of thanks. I unfortunately do not remember Elvis as I was born in 75 but ever since watching Elvis’ films/concerts which must of been the 10th anniversary of his death here in the UK, I was hooked. People at secondary school used to take the mick out of me cos their bedrooms and books were covered in the latest boy band posters but I had Elvis. At 12 years old, it just wasn’t cool!!! Well, Elvis has stood the test of time 💙 There will never be another 💙
