They signed Gordon Hayward to an even worse contract for 4 years 120 million, when Hayward, who has basically been injured 50% of the time since they signed him. Oh and also they are in exactly in the same spot as before, too good to tank but not good enough to make noise in the playoffs. Kemba gets a lot of flack for his Hornets run but they never built around him in my opinion. Bad draft options and questionable free agency signings. Kemba improved each year and they never capitalized on it.

Also the contract they give to Kyrie this free agency and his performance with the Mavs (not including his off court issues) should be one thing to watch out this season.
In Dennis case, at least he got a chance to redeem himself by returning to the Lakers a season after he left and though he's not consistent, some of his best games contributed to the Lakers' turnaround. (and as of this moment, he signed with the Raptors)
