Warren wasn't really a dodged bullet because the Suns knew him. The guy was injured every year. He's like a less severe version of AD when it came to injuries. The guy would hit his head every year and miss like 20 games.
Cubes tried to sign Kemba to that 30 mil a year contract but he chose boston over his team. Cubes is mentioned here for Dandre Jordan and Nerlens Noel, But they also got lucky that Cubes was once again rejected by Lowly Lowry for 30 mil a year but he chose miami instead. All 4 of which could have easily made a top 5 mistakes by a Team/Owner. But Cubes did have Dennis Rodman move in with him and told his GM to let him make the decision on when and if he lets him select Gianiss with a mid first round pick(because he was trying to get a way overrated Center from Orlando a few hundred thousand more dollars with his free agent offer by trading down in the draft and then letting his GM pick Gianiss with the 19th pick.which we know he didn't last that long and that Dwight Howard didn't sign with him anyway. We also know that Cubes was enamored by Dwight Howard being the Defensive Player of the Year for 3 years, So much so that he broke up the only Championship team the Mavericks had ever had to pursue him. You want to know how badly he spiked the Punch Bowl, He broke up the Championship team and didn't draft Gianiss because he wanted the DPOTY, Which not only didn't sign but during this process they lost their Center Tyson Chandler to the Knicks, Who went on that year to be the..................DPOTY. Dude is actually worse than Jerry Jones and Dallas has them both.
The Hornets still are a middle of the pack team aka almost makes the playoff team And actually, as someone who LIVED, the joke was that Terry Rozier was better than Kemba already and that the CELTICS made a mistake letting him go after he led them to the ECF
Don't forget about Isiah Thomas's contract negotiation with the Boston Celtics. He wanted a max contract worth over $200 mil from the Celtics after he avg 28.6 pts per game. Instead, the Celtics let him played out the last year of his contract that was only worth $6mil. Of course he got injured in the playoff that year and got traded in the following offseason to Cleveland for Kyrie Irving. The Celtics really dodged a bullet when they didn't extend Thomas's contract or even entertained by considering giving him a max contract. It would really be a catastrophe.
But wait a second! If dennis would’ve accepted that 80 milli contract then the Lakers would’ve probably been better last season with him than Westbrook. Because remember, if Dennis would’ve signed that contract then Russel Westbrook would’ve never been a laker
Gordon Hayward turning down the Jazz was a huge bullet dodged for Utah, as he missed 81 games the next year and hasn't been the same player since. And it berthed Donovan Mitchell as a star for the Jazz in his rookie season.
I thought of TJ Warren As a modern Adrian Dantley. In the way He moved and scored inside the paint Constantly That might be a stretch but the style of offences was similar
Eventually the Mavs ended getting DeAndre Jordan in 2018 but traded him within the season to NYK (as part of the Porzingis trade) and bounced with many teams after and now, he won a ring with the Nuggets before the Clippers, Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. Also the contract they give to Kyrie this free agency and his performance with the Mavs (not including his off court issues) should be one thing to watch out this season. In Dennis case, at least he got a chance to redeem himself by returning to the Lakers a season after he left and though he's not consistent, some of his best games contributed to the Lakers' turnaround. (and as of this moment, he signed with the Raptors) Also Victor Oladipo is back with OKC, the second team he played for before and now if could bounce back from his slump, that remains to be seen.
I don't agree that TJ was a mistake he just got injured at the wrong time cause Outside of two players on the sun's currently are the only two players who can give you offense and create their own shot TJ cud definitely help in that area as well and is a solid player worth that kind of money plus the sun are a cheap franchise they cud have pay Chris Paul if they wanted to

Now that Schroeder has signed with the Lakers for 2 million the whole story is just that much more funny
This series makes me wanna subscribe
Kemba was a John Wall in waiting.
Lakers even offering Schroder that contract shows how bad the front office is
That that picture of Kemba Walker looks like a meme or something 0:38🤣
So so many awful gms out there hurting the health of most sports
Andy makes 20/10 quality videos on a consistent basis and he only has less than 500k subs while clowns like Korzemba has 2+M subs, somethings not right here
cause he never arrogatly shits on people like this guy here does...
Kemba gets a lot of flack for his Hornets run but they never built around him in my opinion. Bad draft options and questionable free agency signings. Kemba improved each year and they never capitalized on it.
Just comes to show you how fast shit can switch up. Feels like just yesterday Schroder was giving us hope here in Atl🤣🤣
Warren wasn't really a dodged bullet because the Suns knew him. The guy was injured every year. He's like a less severe version of AD when it came to injuries. The guy would hit his head every year and miss like 20 games.
Dennis gotta joke to keep from crying…yikes lol i would never be able to sleep
It's like these guys should just be grateful that they're paid MILLIONS to play a GAME. It's far better than any job regular people do.
I think the Knicks dodged a bullet too by trading Porzingis instead of extending him
Yup and got a good boat load of draft picks and getting rid of bad contracts.
Kemba was traded to OKC where he was bought out by the thunder. Being a free agent, he signed with the Knicks for a small short term deal
The Hornets still are a middle of the pack team aka almost makes the playoff team
And actually, as someone who LIVED, the joke was that Terry Rozier was better than Kemba already and that the CELTICS made a mistake letting him go after he led them to the ECF
its my first time being this early for andy hoops 😂
Don't forget about Isiah Thomas's contract negotiation with the Boston Celtics. He wanted a max contract worth over $200 mil from the Celtics after he avg 28.6 pts per game. Instead, the Celtics let him played out the last year of his contract that was only worth $6mil. Of course he got injured in the playoff that year and got traded in the following offseason to Cleveland for Kyrie Irving. The Celtics really dodged a bullet when they didn't extend Thomas's contract or even entertained by considering giving him a max contract. It would really be a catastrophe.
love this video
Didn’t know Warren and Booker were ever a duo…
But wait a second! If dennis would’ve accepted that 80 milli contract then the Lakers would’ve probably been better last season with him than Westbrook. Because remember, if Dennis would’ve signed that contract then Russel Westbrook would’ve never been a laker
yup. and he would've been cheaper and easier to move.
I want one of those mint green hornets jerseys so bad. They are pretty hard to find.
Chandler Parsons is still the finesse king.
i don’t see how you can say kemba & jordan not signing accelerated rebuilds as if them being there would’ve made any difference.
Can you make a video 📷 on what would have happened had these super teams stayed together for a little bit longer
Dennis Schroder might go back to Lakers with minimum contract😅
shrouder...
hope he goes to a team where he fits better.. like the mavs would be perfect for him
@@ajfischer6540 lakers and mavericks are his best shot in terms of a consistent role
@@hoodie_bron but i think his playstyle will fit way better with the mavs
Team that always fails to dodge? the knicks
Gordon Hayward turning down the Jazz was a huge bullet dodged for Utah, as he missed 81 games the next year and hasn't been the same player since. And it berthed Donovan Mitchell as a star for the Jazz in his rookie season.
Who knows? Maybe he doesn’t get hurt in Utah and they get more offense than just Mitchell down the stretch
@@DMalltheway considering he did get injured and he did leave, it is a bullet dodged for utah.
@@danlower7834 Maybe but we will never know if he would’ve been hurt or not if he stayed in Utah.
@@DMalltheway Point is it fits this video and should be included. There's coulda, woulda, and then there's reality.
@@danlower7834 Correct but we will never know if that leg injury would’ve happened or not in Utah, it was a freak injury.
Great vid
Wow a new video different from Saturday. 😀
Pelicans also dodged a bullet by not extending lonzo
He is a good sports about it....Flexing his Bentley
We’ll see what TJ can do healthy in brooklyn
I thought of TJ Warren As a modern Adrian Dantley. In the way He moved and scored inside the paint Constantly That might be a stretch but the style of offences was similar
An all-time favorite of mine.
Even as a Suns homer, I feel bad for TJ Warren. Seemed like a good dude.
(and as of this moment, he signed with the Raptors)
Also Victor Oladipo is back with OKC, the second team he played for before and now if could bounce back from his slump, that remains to be seen.
Thanks for the video
Houston offered Oladipo two years and $45.2 million. You said over four years.
Lol at Dennis Schroeder, damn
Walker is unrestricted that time
How sad for Kemba Walker knee injury slowly ending his career
I don't agree that TJ was a mistake he just got injured at the wrong time cause Outside of two players on the sun's currently are the only two players who can give you offense and create their own shot TJ cud definitely help in that area as well and is a solid player worth that kind of money plus the sun are a cheap franchise they cud have pay Chris Paul if they wanted to
Had the Lakers paid Schroder, they wouldn't have traded for Westbrook, a bigger problem.
This is the last year of Westbrook's contract so less of a problem.🤷🏽♂️
The Lakers never offered DS17 84 million. This has been clarified on numerous occasions by the Lakers and by DS17 himself, the offer was a lot less! Maybe Andy Hoops wants to correct that? DS17 around 3 weeks ago even gave an interview about that!
How much was it?
How much they offered then?
That was never disclosed, but both sides mentioned that it was a lot less.
Brian Windhorst reported it and stands by his source. Woj also reported Schroder wanted over $20mil annually in his next deal during that time.
If the lakers kept schroder then they would’ve signed Derozan instead of trading for Westbrook with an even bigger contract lmao, and the fit would’ve been better with demar
Schröder was always.... A very Special Boy.... Lets say
kemba so sad, never had a chance
Dennis must’ve been on something good to deny that contract
I request a video on the opposite scenario… 5 Teams that took an RPG round to the dome. 😂
That Lakers one is a stretch. They didn't even make the play in game and have 24M less cap space and traded their core.
According to Schroder the 4 years, 84 million has never been offer. And he waited for that all season long.
6:07 what a disrespect on russ
Yeah the Lakers dodged a bullet with Schröder but caught a fucking bazzoka with Westbrick.
Yeah, things haven't worked out so far. He is wildly inefficient, no surprise there.
On the plus side, he plays at 100mph. If he can be productive, while LBJ or AD are on the bench, he will be 6th man of the year.
Oladipo should be an example, why it is important to say in school
How is the Curry for Bogut trade that fell through not listed?
Man these players really fumbled hard!
"DJ in his prime" That one time he went to the AS game you mean?
Bro’s out there being more disrespectful than mainstream media
Isiah Thomas will forever the best dodged contract. The moment I watched him say " they gotta back up the brinks trunk" live is when I knew It was all over
Jordan finally made a great move regarding the Hornets.
