I feel like half the problem with Giddey is the lost confidence, like compare giddey to last year and he was more aggressive and happy to have the ball in his hands, but after his controversy its like he doesn't want people to notice him anymore and he's just eager to pass the ball away even if he's got a chance to score on his own

Their whole offense is predicated on going 5-out. That's why their drive and kick game works so well. I wouldn't want to sacrifice that. Why not get a 4 who can help you with size and rebounding and keep Chet at the 5?
Also, if you move Chet away from the 5, you're taking away his rim protection.

Gafford is also a big man and is known for his defense so it shouldn't be that surprising that Chet couldn't score inside.

The difference between Luka and Shai is that Luka is a passing savant. Shai is great is creating his own shots. But Luka can see cracks in opposing team's defense. He will sneak a bounce pass that can lead to a shot or swing pass to open man. Luka can throw lob pass from anywhere and any angles.

The pressure got to the team. Only SGA was cooking but his lack of experience meant he wasn’t able to move his team to help him out. Going all hero ball might win a game but it won’t win a series.
Luka and especially Kyrie got the inexperience players to feed off them and was able to guide them to contribute. I’m starting to see Kyrie’s tactic of feeding the ball to the role players early in the game to give them easy shots and build their confidence. He takes over when more pressure is on during the 2nd half. I mean on fast breaks instead of scoring himself he will give the easy shot to a teammate so he can to get them going.

The OKC thunder are still an amazing team until 2030 because of the CP3 and PG trades they will have many first round picks that are guaranteed to be in the draft between top 3 or top 10 like it happened with their 12th pick this year. The main problem why the Thunder lost to the mavs in series it's because the mavs exploited their weaknesses. Like with Chet holmgren with his thin frame they used Gafford more effienciently or Luka, Josh giddey who had a down year from averaging 16 ppg to 12 ppg due to the controversy he had earlier in the season. Him seeing choking in the playoffs despite that he is gonna be 22 years old in October right before the upcoming season begins he still has so much time to grow in his game. The Mavs knew that Giddey is a very bad 3 point shooter and they forced him the ball out of the hands in case that if he is wide open for 3 point shot so that increase their offense even more.

OKC was projected to be a 6 seed and they were a 1 seed in one of the most competitive west conferences. They’re waaaay ahead of schedule. I really believe their youth and inexperience killed them the most with how poor their shooting became even on open shots. Idc the hate they get about losing as the 1 seed, nuggets lost too. It’s basketball against really good teams. We will be back!

Got Haywood, who has been mostly a bust, didn't get a bruising 4, which we can now see is their biggest minus. Can they get to the Finals next year with same same? I would say no. They need a big power forward who gets a lot of rebounds, clogs the paint, doesn't necessarily have to score more than 8 points a game. Chet getting 3 rebounds and 1 assist in their final game is not gonna cut it.

SGA did a really bad play, but I’m not gonna blame him for that because this is his first playoffs where he’s like the main guy on a team like this. the Oklahoma City thunder will be back next season tougher and they will be back for revenge. You can’t just dismiss for what this team managed to do this season.

SGA is the only guy that came ready. The rest of them are really too inexperienced. We've also seen the Chet "tall guy be the center" plan from KD in OKC before. They should get a proper center and play Chet on the wing to make use of his long strides and shooting ability. Giddey should be gone, OKC should really start trading their picks and players to get some guys that are experienced to help SGA.

They need to trade Giddey because he is misfit. Also, didn't help that he played 3 different position in his seasons respectively. However as team develops he fell out of context. Also need physical PF, because Jalen Williams is pure stretch 4. JV is not the option because he's too slow. Chet must improve physicality to decent level

I'm still shocked that They lost by one point 😳 and they had they were #1 in the Western conference. They swept the New orleans pelicans in the first round. But Lost to The Dallas Mavericks in six games 4-2. And there's barely any notable players on their roster. Though I understand they were young. But some people probably will recognize some names like Gordon Hayward. Who was an all star on The Utah Jazz. Busy B who was on The 2011-12 Bobcats with 7 wins and 59 losses. SGA who was their best player. And also they was the first #1 seed to lose to the #8 seed back in 1994 When They Was known as The Seattle Supersonics. And they lost to The Denver Nuggets in 5 games. 3-2. Followed by The Miami Heat in 1999. The Dallas Mavericks in 2007. The San Antonio Spurs in 2011 and The Milwaukee Bucks in 2023. I'm not sure if The Thunder is going to return to the playoffs next season or not but it's.50/50. In the 2022-23 season. The Thunder made the play-in tournament. They defeated The New Orleans Pelicans in the first state of the tournament. But Lost To The Minnesota Timberwolves in the second stage of the tournament. And that eliminated them from Playoff contention.

Dallas were just a nightmare match-up against them. I mean every basketball enthusiast knows that from the very beginning of their series. Mavs are more agile and flexible from 1 to 5 positions. Luka may not be a good defender against quicker guard but he is good in low post games. We knew OKC though have problems of lacking wing or center positions and Mavs maximize it. Their flaws already can be seen from game 1 of their series against pelicans. They might be the top seeded team but the last 3 teams remaining in west were just too good against them.
