    If factions have different skill trees based on their irl beliefs, I think that Germany should be focused on unlocking new stuff faster, they used gas, flamethrowers, anti tank rounds/rifles first, as well as having innovative tactics, like creeping barrage and use of stormtroopers, that would be a great unit. Also, D. Burstyn designed a tank prototype he proposed to the austrian and german armies even before the war. A faster skill tree progression buff would be cool. They also had the comfiest trenches, so adding a tier above 3 would be a nice touch, they even had electricity and toilets there
    The french had the most accurate artillery due to recoil mitigation, which was a great advantage in the early days of the war, before others had it. They also had a "as much stuuf out there" mentality, the chauchat was the most commonly produced lmg of the war, and the renaut was the most produced tank, so a special cheaper stuff bonus would be cool. They also had a private company give them planes produced before the war for free, which made them have the biggest air force and the blueprints of the renaut tank were free for the french as well (although the americans had to pay extra for them)
    Brits had a thing for volume of fire, before the battle of the somme, 4000 artillery cannons were used, lewises had a 100 round mag, and the lee enfield had a magazine with 10 rounds, unlki the kar 98ks 5, a firing speed buff would be nice, they also had the most notorious human wave tactics, google butcher of the somme
    Also, BARBED WIRE

    • @CommanderthornStudios
      @CommanderthornStudios 11 месяцев назад +9

      Wow you have done a lot of research but on the topic of the barbed wire officers should be able to carry wire cutters but it does take time to cut through the wire if you don't have officers infantry will charge through it it will either stop most of them kind of has like a barrier but the units that do make it through have lost a lot of Health tanks should be able to roll through barbed wire but slowing them down as if say the barbwire has gotten tangled up in their treads and I think they should add to wear when you use artillery it leaves a crater in the ground that units can actually get into and use as cover for their approach but if you're playing and it's raining that they can actually fill up with water but the downside to these craters that they can also slow down tanks so you have to be precise on where you use them it doesn't slow them down a lot but you should definitely be more careful where you place them

    I have a suggestion for the British-specific skill tree. Maybe there should be an ability called "spotter plane" or something that increases artillery accuracy. Maybe that could open the door for airplanes and anti-air emplacements as well if you decide to make the plane a physical entity in the game. Also, I suggested the ANZAC skins a couple videos ago; so hyped they got mentioned by someone else too!

    • @happerry4651
      @happerry4651 11 месяцев назад +1

      Perhaps the artillery accuracy upgrade could be linked to officers? Call it Artillery Spotting Training or something, and if you have an officer in a nearby trench, he can spot for the artillery and report back to the big guns to help them correct their aim.

  • @JacksonPrice-kz5ec
    @JacksonPrice-kz5ec 11 месяцев назад +73

    It would be awesome if you could change if your soldiers are in a fortified position, aggressive position, or just normal, so that you could have even more say in your tactics, like if they were fortified they would be less vulnerable to artillery, but would take longer to respond to threats and stuff and the opposite for the aggressive position.

    • @JacksonPrice-kz5ec

    I think that there could be a historical campaign on the Western front, where you have multiple acts (Invasion of Belgium, Schlieffen, Defense of the Marne, Ypres, Verdun, Kaiserschlacht). Kind of like Total Tank Sim, but stickman and WWI.
    Edit: With artillery, there should be a small chance for both sides (higher for Entente, since they had worse quality shells) for the shell to not fire. In the area that a soldier of any nationality steps in the area, the shell explodes. I get that it could make the game very laggy, but still.

      Baron needs to see this. Maybe they could add a map specifically for tunnel war too , and enemy tunnels are invisible on the map view until they are connected to your own tunnel or you capture the entrance to the tunnel. Then you can use the tunnel you dug underneath the enemy to either plant dynamite , or send troops through to take the trench.

    only the Germans had flamethrowers butt they only had a few tanks so make them more expensive.
    the British had the best bolt action rifle of ww1 and they had lots of tanks so make infantry fire faster and tanks cheaper for them.

    Idea: What if you added barbed wire? I see that you have barbed wire at the top and bottom of the maps sometimes by some trenches for aesthetic reasons, but it would be cool if when you upgraded the trenches, sometimes barbed wire gets placed in no mans land closest to the trench that got upgraded. If the enemy charges into the barbed wire that has been placed by your trench then it slows them down/ and or maybe hurts them a little bit. Same as if you attack the enemy, then the enemies barbed wire slows your soldiers down/ and or hurts them. The wire placed by you only slows the enemy, so when you attack, your soldiers just walk past it. If you capture an enemy trench with barbed wire, it stays, but then your men can freely walk past it without any problem when you move your men from trench to trench, same for the enemy if they catches one of your trenches. If you or your enemy takes back a trench with barbed wire, then the barbed wire works the same as when it first got placed for you or the enemy by upgrading a trench. To make it easer, you could just use the models of the barbed wire that you have as aesthetics. Please take this idea into consideration unless someone already has mentioned/ came up with that idea. It would make the game... I guess more realistic in some way, and also more fun, at least in my opinion :).
    Edit: I just saw that someone had said the exact thing underneath my comment right after I posted it. This edit is being made 5 seconds after I posted that comment. I am sorry that I didn't see that comment made by @Herr_Waffenhandel

    Ideas:
    Foreign Aid - A high price for a few units from different countries (like, germany gets austria hungary, france gets britain, britain gets france, etc.) to aid you, can only be used once in a game / has a massive cooldown
    Mortar - Acts like a sniper. Has longer cooldown, costs more, a little longer range, is not really precise, has a small range to attack enemy units
    Factions:
    Serbia - center them around having defensive bonuses and maybe a 4th trench upgrade or something like that?
    USA - they get small buffs to everything instead of being centered around something or special upgrades
    Russia - center them around having lower soldier spawn cooldown and making soldiers cost less

    I don’t know if this was suggested already. But for the German Tech, you can have an gas upgrade called “Fritz Haber” who was the “Father of toxic gas and chemical warfare
    His dark creation has been revealed
    Flow over no man's land, a poisonous nightmare
    A deadly mist on the battlefield”

    Barbed Wire would be great, but adding some Tank Traps would be pretty cool too.
    Barbed wire could slow down infantry, but be utterly ineffective against tanks, while Tank Traps could slow down tanks, but could be used like cover by infantry.

    How about adding fog of war? I think it'd be fun, like not knowing and having to explore where enemy has advanced, could also give use to scout planes.

    If you were to add a whistle, I'd say let that be an ability; similar to Artillery and Precision Strikes. Plays the effect of the whistle as you want; but grants maybe 5-10% Fire Rate or Movement Speed.

    I still want to suggest rifle grenades to make it in, either as a unique unit or as an upgrade for the grenades that let them be launched farther. That could fit the British even, they're all about making their enemies explode.
    Another upgrade idea could be Withdrawal Tactics, which gives infantry a speed bonus when they're withdrawing/retreating from a trench, which would help with the raids. That could be one for Germany.

    I would say if you want to use different shells for the artillery it would probably be best to base it on the type of artillery you're using if it's precision have like air burst good for taking down stickmen but bad at taking down bunkers, barbed wire, and general defenses, have HE a good all round shell good at taking down barbed wire, stickmen, and general defense but poorly at cracking open bunkers, then you have bunker busters specifically designed to smash open any bunker. Now if you're talking barrages have again HE your base shell but also have incendiary to clear out a trench but you can't take the trench til the fires stop burning and this would work even better with the creeping barrage since the fire of the first shells would burn out quicker than the fire of the last shells.

    It could be great if you add medics that can deploy on the field and heal, it could also be fantastic if you add paratroopers parachuting from the sky with a reinforcement of 3 or 5 which have some gun you choose, on deploy a bomb is also dropped possibly. Another excellent update idea would be traps, landmines, etc. but ig people have said that already. Another good idea is making it so you can choose from machine guns (aa if my bombing idea is added) or some sort of anti-tank missile/weapon.
    (Nation idea): Germany: some sort of mass bombing which is excellent at taking out tanks and weakening trenches but to keep it fair they do minimal damage to units (idea from Poland bombing though it was during WWII) if you don't want WWII which is understandable to add the german unit tankgewehr, which was a german anti-tank rifle. France: For France, they made an invention ("French invention, German made") where they dropped a lot of metal darts from the sky raining down on trenches, This could be a great weapon against units but bad for trench or tank anti-weapons. And for Britain, you could add a unit rifle with a bayonet which would be good in melee so it rushes straight into trenches instead of fighting outside and if it makes it should be maybe able to take out 3 men before dying or more but that's ur choice. I have a lot more ideas if you want that. Cya!

    If you ever decide to add the Americans into the game, may I suggest that you give the Americans the devil dog or hellfighters perk. With the Devil dog park it’s if you have a bunch of soldiers, charging, and then officer falls devil be a slight chance for another soldier to become an officer. Hellfighters will have a defensive park where if you have enough soldiers and they will have a defensive boost, making it harder for the enemy to take the trench.

    One thing to keep in mind is most trenches were built to be defendable only from ine side, so that if you had to abandon a trench taking it would be easy. I'd love to see that get incorporated with the trench upgrades, say at second highest level it removed rear sandbags and at highest it put s in graded terrain which provided no cover UNLESS you spend points repairing it

    Ideas for new maps (if you want them Baron) :
    Underground Tunnel map - It has an above ground regular trench system , but underground you can dig tunnels , plant TNT and send soldiers through to the enemy trench
    Town map- similar to trench warfare , but with a more urban feel and slight changes to map layout , such as a road running through the middle and sets of trenches on either side , to simulate troops fighting their way through a town
    Village map - basically a mix of a normal map , with maybe a river , and a smaller urban section
    Forrest map- more cover , artillery is slightly more devastating around trees (splinter shrapnel) , less accuracy , and trees have a chance to block bullets , get hit by artillery , fall over etc
    Weather changes could also be interesting , in regular matches it could be random and give buffs and debuts to everyone , in campaign it would be accurate to the real version of the battle .

    Hm, nation specific could maybe also be something like hero units, like William Coltman as a British medic (as in saving people who are downed and hence having a short respawn?), maybe Joseph Joffre for France with some bounceback or counterattack ability (maybe have troops/tanks move faster for some time), and last but not least obviously the red baron for a strafing attack ability for Germany (basically some other form of artillery).

    I don't know if it's going to be a thing, but I really really would love to see Austria-Hungary as a faction, given how it was an important power in World War One, yet, most of the time forgotten. An Empire that had to fight in 3 fronts (Eastern, Italian and Western in the late war). Austria-Hungary was known for having formidable fixed heavy artillery pieces (like the Skoda 305mm Howitzer), and a vast amount of infantry, although they had no tanks and a limited amount of armored cars and trucks with cannons

    Canadians in ww1 did a lot of war crimes one being throwing food for starving germans who would climb out of their trench to get, they would do this a few times then one day they would throw grenades and the germans would run out to get what they thought was food and be killed.
    Could be a cool mechanic for the british throw food to draw some enemies out of the trench, each upgrade goes from little food 10% of enemies come out of trench, more food 30% come out but a granade is in the food, 70% come out to all grenades.

    I think it should be really amazing if you consider multiplayer option in the near future. Where you have 2v2 or even 3v3 player games. You would need to multiply some trenches up north or south. Even go that far that at the start of the game you have only your "spawn" trench - main base and everything else is a no man's land. Maybe introduce the option that you can build your trench where ever you like?? (for example it would take 30 sec to sth like that depending of how many soldiers are working on it). Also It would be cool if creates after artilery shelling remains and soldiers could use them as cover for further advance. Also granates or even UNDERGROUND TUNNELS? I know these ideas are crazy but I think it would help to create absolutely original game of trenches which haven't been seen in action. Hope it helps and spikes some creative ideas!

    I'm not sure whether it already exists, because I haven't watched the "series" in a while, but maybe make there be upgrades or buildings to give the player more resources, and an advanced intelligence upgrade to know how many resources the enemy has, or instead make the whole battlefield "invisible", except for the trenches that you conquered and the ones ahead, until you get the advanced intelligence upgrade. Hope you read this!
