There should be a reaserch to be able to add a tank trench to your trenches so you can have a light tank as a static emplacement. Could be the French special research.
To my knowledge (no expert btw) the French tanks were some of the worst overall and not used defensively as they were way to vulnerable to artillery
@@_the_Nochad Nah, they are the best or better then anyone else have to offer. St.Shamond and its predecessor are bad however. But after them... Well only germans had to offer something better (LK series) and brits could only offer what will be known as APC/IFV later on, along with engineering vehicles.
Awesome idea 👍
The Germans were known for more fortified trenches , but the French DID construct the maginot line , so it could be a reference to that
Tanks can be used for static emplacements for WW1 but most are for offensive attack purposes but it is a game so yea you can make it like the infantry like it can stay there and defend and if you want it to attack you just press a button that might work.
As a cosmetic point, maybe the British could also have a chance of spawning a colonial soldier (Indian, ANZAC, Canadian, etc.) when spawning in their units. These units don't do anything different than the Brits, just they have a different uniform.
Edit: As far as another faction goes, I think that the order of development should be the Russians, then Austrians, then Italians. At least as factions in the near future go. I feel that there should also be a campaign mode in the far future.
Indeed a good stickman game has a campaign mode
excellent idea
To add onto that I feel like if he makes an American faction, there should be American colored Stickman with French helmets, because in World War I African-American soldiers in the US army were put with French soldiers.
ANZACS!!
Ottoman would also be a great idea:)
Personally I think the Saint Chamond should have longer range as it was used as more of a self propelled artillery due to being too long to effectively navigate the terrain, plus the 75mm gun was a fire support piece and was meant for long range.
Just a small idea: A medal upgrade for the tech tree for the French tanks could be more experienced/better trained crews which would make the tanks overall faster at shooting and driving (not a huge buff though, it shouldn't be too OP).
here here! I'm all for this! good idea!!!!
The Saint-Chamond was the second French tank to enter service during the First World War, with 400 manufactured from April 1917 to July 1918. Although not a tank by a strict definition of a heavily armoured turreted vehicle, it is generally accepted and described as such in accounts of early tank development. It takes its name from the commune of Saint-Chamond where its manufacturers Compagnie des forges et aciéries de la marine et d'Homécourt (FAMH) were based.
Born of the commercial rivalry existing with the makers of the Schneider CA1 tank, the Saint-Chamond was an underpowered and fundamentally inadequate design. Its principal weakness was its Holt caterpillar tracks. They were much too short in relation to the vehicle's length and weight (23 tons). Later models attempted to rectify some of the tank's original flaws by installing wider and stronger track shoes, thicker frontal armour and the more effective 75mm Mle 1897 field gun.
Altogether 400 Saint-Chamond tanks were built, including 48 unarmed caisson tanks. The Saint-Chamond tanks remained engaged in various actions until October 1918, belatedly becoming more effective since combat had moved out of the trenches and onto open ground. Eventually, the Saint-Chamond tanks were scheduled to be entirely replaced by imported British heavy tanks.
Development
The Schneider
In January 1915, the French arms manufacturer Schneider sent out its chief designer, Eugène Brillié, to investigate tracked tractors from the American Holt Company, at that time participating in a test programme in England. The original French project was to provide mobility to mechanical wire-cutting machines of the Breton-Pretot type. On his return Brillié, who had earlier been involved in designing armoured cars for Spain, convinced the company management to initiate studies on the development of a Tracteur blindé et armé ("armoured and armed tractor"), based on the Baby Holt chassis, two of which were ordered.
Experiments on the Holt caterpillar tracks started in May 1915 at the Schneider plant with a 56 kW (75 hp) wheel-steered model and the 34 kW (45 hp) all-caterpillar Baby Holt, showing the superiority of the latter.[1] On 16 June, new experiments followed in front of the President of the French Republic, and on 10 September for Commander Ferrus, an officer who had been involved in the study (and ultimate abandonment) of the Levavasseur tank project in 1908.[2]
In early 1916, the first prototype of the Schneider tank was assembled in an army workshop. It featured tracks from the American-made Holt caterpillar tractors that were already used in France for towing heavy artillery. Private Pierre Lescure designed the fighting compartment. Lieutenant Fouché lengthened the tracks to improve trench-crossing ability. In this early form the prototype of the Schneider was called Tracteur A - not for security reasons, but because nobody knew exactly how to call such vehicles; the French word char was not yet applied to tanks. Eugène Brillié, the chief designer at Schneider, rejected this Tracteur A prototype. Instead he had invented a tail for his own tank's chassis thus providing the same trench crossing ability but for less overall weight and length.
The Saint-Chamond
While Brillié began to assemble this second prototype which was to become the Schneider CA1, the arms manufacturer Forges et Aciéries de la Marine et d'Homécourt (aka "FAMH"), based at Saint-Chamond, Loire, was given an order for 400 tanks by the French government, a political move prompted by General Mourret of the Army "Service Automobile". Saint-Chamond intended to build a tank that would be partly similar to the Schneider. Brillié refused to share his patents for free, and Saint-Chamond refused to pay. As a result, the "Forges et Acieries de la Marine et d'Homecourt" company, being unable to replicate certain patented details (notably the tail) of the new Schneider tank, developed its own proprietary design: the "Char Saint-Chamond". It included a "Crochat-Colardeau" gasoline-electric transmission, a traction system already used on railcars in service with the French railways. Furthermore, the freedom to design a heavier and larger tracked vehicle gave Saint-Chamond the opportunity to upstage the Schneider company. It did this by installing on its "Char Saint-Chamond" a more powerful, full size 75 mm field gun plus 4 Hotchkiss machine guns instead of the two machine guns present on the Schneider tank.
The Char Saint-Chamond on display at the Musée des Blindés in Saumur, the last surviving example.
Saint-Chamond's technical director was Colonel Émile Rimailho, an artillery officer who had become dissatisfied over the insufficient reward he had received for helping design the famous Canon de 75 modele 1897 field gun as well as the Modele 1904 155 mm "Rimailho" howitzer. Following his departure from the French State arsenal system (APX) and joining Saint-Chamond, Rimailho adapted a Mondragon designed 75 mm field gun for production for the Mexican Army. It was the proprietary Canon de 75mm TR Saint-Chamond (Modele 1915), designed to fire the regular French 75 mm ammunition. The French government had already made a commitment in May 1915 to purchase the Saint-Chamond 75mm gun.[3] It is unclear whether the guns for the Saint-Chamond tanks were taken from existing stocks of Saint-Chamond guns or new production. Colonel Rimailho, who had a direct financial interest in selling his company's gun, induced the Ministry of War to specify that the new Saint-Chamond tank would also mount the Saint-Chamond made 75mm. In so doing Rimailho had also upstaged the Schneider CA1 tank which could only be fitted with a smaller Schneider-made fortress gun firing a 75 mm reduced charge ammunition. To accommodate a regular length and full size 75 mm field gun, a hull longer than on the Schneider tank was essential. The earliest Saint-Chamond prototype, a tracked vehicle longer and heavier than the Schneider tank was first demonstrated to the French military in April 1916.
When Colonel Jean Baptiste Eugène Estienne, who had taken the initiative to create the French tank arm, learned that an order for 400 additional tanks had been passed on April 8, 1916, he was at first quite elated. When it later became apparent that they would be of a different type, Estienne was shocked and wrote:
I am painfully surprised that an order has been launched of this importance without asking the opinion of the only officer who, at the time, had undertaken a profound study of the technical and military aspects involved and who had brought the supreme commander to the decision to take this path [towards a tank arm].[4]

I AINT READIN ALL THAT
I think that while the French could get a basic tank upgrade in their tech tree, something like 20% more health and move speed for tanks, they should have something truly unique. My recommendation is to give the French a "Field Repair" technology. When unlocked, any future tanks spawned will have a slow regeneration effect, allowing them to heal after fights. For balance purposes, you could put a limit on the total health one tank can regenerate, not let it do repairs while shooting, force the tank to stop moving while repairing, or any combination of these penalties.
In the research department: i think that each faction should focus on it's main strong points.
I'll separate them into a existing menu and explains about it detail as
Infantry - Infantries Skills and Various Field Equipment, such as Gas Masks and Grenades, AT rifles, you name one Field Equipment, it's probably on this category. this will also cover reinforcements rate for infantries.
Support - Tanks and Artilleries goes here, Trench and Emplacements improvements (more tier unlocks), cooldown/reinforcements rate for them also goes here as well.
Logistics - Stars and Medal Income, both from Passive gain and Kills, lower XP thresholds, and Better Medal/Star Conversion Rate (note: to keep game balance and prevent mechanic abuse, rate between Star to Medal should be slightly higher than Medal to Star)
(All Factions will has lower research cost, or even cost stars in Unique Techs)
For France, would be a more robust Command Structure and Supply, translated into quicker reinforcements for tanks and infantry. with much better Tank Tech that farther increase tank reinforcement rate. As a Faction with better and streamlined Industries, they will has lower Logistic Research Cost.
For Britain, as a artillery-type faction, would be a lower and faster cooldown on artilleries strikes, and Better MG Emplacements. They're also has lower Support Research Cost.
For German, as a Combat Focused Faction, would be more inclined on improving unit's stat, increasing their survivability, fire rates and accuracy. this also mean Cheaper Trench upgrades. The Focus will be on Infantry foremost. that translated to better sniper, flamethrowers, Officers, and MG Infantries. as a Faction that are more prepare for war, their Infantry Research Cost will be lower.
As for a common ones, an ability that shotgunner would use a grenade to clear the trench before charging in. (Infantry)
You should be able to change the position of your troops, whether they are in a hiding position, a ready position, or just a normal position. The hiding position would decrease possible damage from artillery and other explosives but lower their responsiveness and increase their chances of missing shots. The ready position, on the other hand, would do the exact opposite, and the normal position would have no buffs or debuffs.
ANZAC Faction: Benefit from fighting outside trenches and are generally faster. This represents the ANZAC forces being generally used as Shock Troops during the Great War. Additionally, the Australian Light Horse was famous for their contributions in the middle east and even though they didn't serve on the Western Front, through the rule of cool I say the ANZAC unique unit is horsemen who dismount when in trenches but when an attack is declared, mount and charge the enemy on horseback and shoot and move like shotgunners, but don't stay stationary in no man's land and constantly move back and forth decreasing the chance they would be hit. Research bonus would be trench raider, so whenever they take a trench they can downgrade it to gain stars.
Since the British faction's unique ability is artillery, it should have the Gun Carrier Mk.1 it's a regular artillery piece mounted on a tank-like Chassie and could move around battlefield instead of being stationary in one area.
Add specialised trench/morale upgrades for each nation. Germans can get better trenches for better morale(choose between defensive trench or morale boost trench) British gets more improved artillery(due to the massive British navy during ww1) french gets officers for cheaper or free(french really went for officers during the war as to lead not only french troops but also the other nations troops).
I think an Austro-Hungarian faction that specializes in building the trench upgrades and machine gun upgrades. Maybe also an Italian faction that focuses on mobility for units.
The French's active ability could be that whenever you spawn a tank, 2-3 units of a random type (higher chances for cheaper units) will follow behind the tank. The units could be immune from attacks until the tank gets destroyed.
I second this
What if the active ability for the French allows you to summon multiple tanks at once, basically giving you the ability to give a large push
that would be a little bit op
@@Hellooooooooooo8-m3p well that’s why it’d be expensive to do
There should be a faction that is able to set traps in front and in the own trench so that when the retreat the enemy will take damage. Idk which faction it should be but likely a minor faction such as the Hungarians, maybe Australians because they did set traps and timed gunshots in Gallipoli.
The special French tech tree should focus on buffing its inf equipment, and representing the diversity of French tanks
For inf equipment, it would be like rsc(i believe that's what its called), the first massed produced semiautomatic rifle, and the ribeyrolles experimental assault rifle. Idk about the ribeyrolles, but rule of cool so...
It might not be very historically accurate and I'm not sure how it could be introduced in a balanced way, but I think it would be very cool if the French could have units come inside the tank, jumping out when it is destroyed and continuing the fight. The soldiers could be some crew members that survived and some rng could be added by making some variance in how many crew members actually survive and what type of unit they are.
Its very accurate. Tanks often had more crew that they needed, acting as makeshift APC (UK even made special APC for that role later in WW1) back then, and they often survived disabling of the tank.
That's actually a good passive for the french.
awesome idea, i hope its added
There should be a faction that is more focused on aviation, like small bi-planes to maybe a light bomber which acts kind of the same as an artillery strike but is basically a gun run kind of like a a-10 but for ww1, so if the enemy is charging your trench your team sends up a flare or some sort of signal then a bi- plane would fly over the battlefield and suppress whoever is charging.
If you are adding skill trees based on factions I think you should change the special units / abilities. If the actual war is an inspiration, then you should know that French artillery was actually the most precise due to recoil mitigation, while german was the best overall due to superior tactics (aka creeping barrage).
The french had a- send as much stuff out there mentality, which is why I think that their special units should be cheaper, the chauchat for example was the most mass produced lmg during most of the war, but it was very unreliable. The Renaut FT was a tank that was produced the most due to it's size.
The Germans should unlock stuff faster for shock value, to get an early advantage, to then push, they used flamethrowers, gas, anti tank rounds(k bullets) / rifles (tankgewehr) the first there were also pre war tank prototypes dating back to 1912 made by G. Bursztyn, but they were rejected.
Germans had the best trenches, they even had electricity, they were the deepest, safest, and dryer according to many firsthand accounts from the british on the western front, so cheaper/ better trench upgrades?
The british had the best volume of fire/people - one of their leader D. Haig even earned the nickname "The Butcher of the Somme" because of his tactics. The Lee-enfield rifles used by the british had a 10rd magazine instead of a 5 round one of the kar98k. Their version of the mg also had the highest fire rate.
TDLR France - cheaper stuff
Britain - more people/ firepower
Germany - unlocking stuff faster
ALSO, MAKE TANKS SLOWER WHEN CROSSING TRENCHES
Also also, uhm achtualleh leaders did not wear special hats in the field due to snipers, also fun fact, some german snipers could recognise a general from the shape of their legs
it was also worth mentioning that if that early French infantries are also very conspicuous (i have no clue who thinks that wearing bright Red pants in a trench battle was a good idea) it could translated to worse survivability early on for infantries, and especially Officers, but has a tech to mitigate it out (it could translated into transition from blue torso, red legs to a whole blue outfit and a helmet, with officers has a more slightly decorated version of helmets)
Once again, I’m suggesting that you should make it so that the mouse can drag and select individuals to make more strategic maneuvers. If you don’t think this is how the game is planned to play out, then let me know.
Tank upgrades: Faster movement, faster firing speed, more health, less time to queue, bullet resistance, when it dies the tank operators run out and try to melee the enemy with broken tank pieces
They have guns inside of tank for exactly that scenario.
i think all of this doesnt need to be add except for the last one, that is cool
to balance out the choices you should add austria hungary that could have faster spawn rates or the ottoman empire that could have curved blades that they can use before the enemy shoots them when under attack/ attacking
What if the Frenches ability is the Char-2C and St. Chamond gain some additional health and range. Historical the French were very keen on developing a super-heavy tank during WW1. Especially since the British and Americans were working on one. It would make sense with the tank focus of the French in the game and French tank focuses historically
I know this won’t happen for a while but first person combat would be so cool to use or third person combat in game like the mechanics of ancient warfare or something would be amazing .
The French upgrade should make the tanks go faster or give them better armor.Sandbox would be awesome
I giggle and kick my feet when Baron uploads
Same
Makes me feel oh so jolly
SUSSY AMONG US
I think their should be a day nigh cycle with snipers being able to hide in shell holes their should also be more obstacles like rain that make the ground extra muddy so u would have to time ur attack better
Loved the video @Baron! Can't wait for the next video man! Glad to see that Stickman Trenches is doing really well man!
For a New Faction, The Russian Empire would be a Great Point to start. Their Special Abilities would be Cheaper Units as well as Mass Conscription, so in the Game you might be able to get 2 Units for the Price of One as well as a Chance to randomly get an extra Unit while Purchasing them. They'd also have a Fourth Upgrade Option for the Trenches, Specifically the Machine Gun having a Concrete Bunker to Fight from, as well as the Cossacks or Russian Cavalry instead of any Tanks.
For the Tanks Tech Tree in the French Republic, you could start off with a 20% Speed Reduction in calling them up to the front like the Recruitment Upgrade, then you could have another upgrade to Improve their Accuracy by 20%, then a One where they can Recover up to 20% of their Health After a Fight. These are just a Few Ideas for you to toy around with, but they might be interesting to see nonetheless.
Also, For the "Solomon's Slaughterhouse" Map that I Described in your Last Ravenfield video, I forgot to Mention that the Japanese have Rabaul on the Island of New Britian in the Bismarck Archipelago while the Americans have Espiritu Santo in the New Hebrides and the Australians have Cooktown and Cairns in Northeastern Queensland, Australia as their Main Spawnpoints.
It's be a nice reference to a small bit of the war, but for WW1 the French were masters of making fake stuff to confuse the enemy and their decoys were amazing. So i'd give them a decoy tank ability so when activated it just summons a fake tank that costs less than an infantry man. It'd have no attack, but still can draw enemy fire and take hits.
Perhaps there could be scenarios where you start with certain units and tech unlocked, machine guns deployed, trenches and bases upgraded, starting units in trenches etc.
The creeping barrage should greatly increase the miss rate of enemy fire
Idea: underneath each unit's name should be like their title, or actual historical name. So underneath light tank, it could say; renaux M217, which would bring more fun and interest to the game.
maybe it is a fun idea if the french can make the tank faster or more power full or give the tanks more defense.
Random suggestion: maybe you could have some sort of storyline, or campaign like in stick war legacy, or possibly multiplayer mode. Also, maybe you could give each faction soldiers different guns with each with different stats as collectables (just a random thought)
I think that a map idea could be one where between the trenches there should be anti-personal and anti-tank mines, the idea being that in that map artillery is the best compared to the others. and that some maps have an indirect bonus to certain type of unity/ability
It would have been cool to have a zone-takeover mode where you take over trenches which act like zones or objectives. Each zone gives you for example 1 point and the more zones you own the more points you earn per like every 5 seconds or so. And the first one to get to for example 150 points wins
Italy should be a nation that you can call on for help, but the enemy can pay them 5000 stars to turn on you.
active buff for the Uk quicker reloads and effectiveness of the artillery lower cost. for German speed and special infantry (i.e., stormtroopers) that once they get into the trench, they increase the health and accuracy of all nearby allies. now for France faster spawning tanks is what I am thinking.
You should add Austria-Hungary to the game and combined the f15 renown machine gun tank and the cannon f15 renown tank together
Maybe the French could have and ability in the research tree so all tanks have move faster, more damage, and a little more range so it firs first at trenches for a limited amount of time.Maybe there could be abilities for every faction too
As a french guy, i would like to thx Baron and his dev team for the amazing work and for that great game 🎉.
Btw "toutes les poussées de réserv'e' " is not very french 😂
Maybe "une poussée des troupes de réserve" would be better :3
For the active ability, heavy armor: 50% more health for tanks. For the passive ability, 10% less damage taken by tanks
What would be cool, at least the French Faction considered, is for it to evolve over time into the "Combined Arms Faction" (i.e. Infantry supports Tanks, Tanks protect Infantry into an advance, Air Assets also could play a role in doing CAS and/or Air Interdiction (wreaking havoc on enemy logistics) work).
We gotta get the Austrians next, maybe make them generalists, or economy?
There should be a reason for the back turret being enemies can dig foxholes or tunnels and tunnels may be able to put dynamite in them (inspired by a true story based on Australians fighting Germans)
For the visual improvements, do differents MG for each faction (like Hotchkiss for french, MG 08 for german ans Vickers for brits)
The French active ability should increase tanks damage and speed by X for a X amount of time
I think that with the German focuse on infantry it would be interesting to see a gernade bundle for anti-tank and emplacement. Since the French getting a static tank defense seems to be decently popular I think that this would also make a good kind of counter.
Add mortars, and each team having there own OP soilders
I think the American s would be a great choice for infantry, one of their tech tree unlocks would be a trench raider unit that does more damage to enemy’s in a trench.
Maybe some weather & terrain effects would be an interesting add to the game.
Like having it rain and making it muddy. Having it so infantry & light tanks would be slowed down a bit, but making medium and heavy tanks be slowed down a lot.
Or even having a heavy snow storm. In trenches you would have little braziers with fire to keep them warm. But when out of trenches, they would either take a small amount of damage, or have a debuff of some kind.
Just some thoughts :)
you should add ricochets to the game, when a tank is getting attacked, theres a chance (based on how well armored the tank is) that some bullets or even other shells from tanks bounce off. you can add a certain % to every type of projectile so that tanks get more realistic. another idea is an air strike ability. the plane would go in the top of the screen and the plane would have decals from its nation
Light tank = scout tank
Medium tank = specialty tank
Heavy tank = super heavy tank
The French active ability should cause all tanks on the battlefield to retreat for a certain amount of seconds! For the meme, but also because it can be tactical, being able to call the tanks back to support an infantry push!
Maybe officer could have passive abilities along with gas masks and the abilities would be dependent on the country you choose
(Example: The Germans officers could make the infantry around them move faster when on the assault)
Russia should have cheap units, but they are conscripts with poor accuracy and slower speed. Also, they should have rushing as an ability. Ura my comrades!
the brit's passive ability could be a kind of fake soldiers where they don't do damage but are just a distraction. they would come in at about 1 every 10 seconds and be eliminated by any thing that hits them
Since the German faction is elite infantry they should have a chance like 1/5 of flanking behind a tank and doing extra damage/ throwing a grenade underneath it.
There should be an upgrade for your trenches that add barbed wire to it
There should also be a way to upgrade the mark five tank To be a female or a male version
You should also add a mortar unit.
And maybe also add napalm.
For the germans add a new special unit the famous german storm troopers
An upgrade that makes the french tanks a medal cheaper, Or an upgrade that makes officers “Tank Commanders” Still giving he officer boost but also making it to where they can repair and boost tanks slightly too when near
Maybe each faction could have a buff and debuff, like French guns are less effective but units are slightly quicker to produce. Also different models for different factions guns would be cool. Like a Lewis gun for the Brit’s light machine gun and a bar when America is added.
I think having a sandbox mode would make some people laugh with pure joy and I think it would be a funny and fun addition
You should make tanks bounce ammo rounds and other tank rounds as a percent chance.
You should add a campaign mode to where eventually you can unlock other countries and you have a limited budget and limited equipment
One idea that has been in my head for a long time is the tank-only gamemode, where you can only spawn tanks of different countries.
Add fox hole diggers for the Brit’s also you should make an American faction. And the specialty being demolition
Add engineer units for all countries, which automatically upgrades trenches and the machine gunner, or every 5 mins or so, you get a free medal to upgrade the tree with.
1st idea: You should add like paratroopers coming down from the plane that would be cool
2nd idea: you should add the Americans and the Russians(USSR) Faction that would be cool
3rd idea: can you make it available to mobile players, I'm on mobile so can u add that?
I think it would be cool if the char 2c could fire while moving and make the rear turret fire, also make fog of war with recon plane and baloon
The french should have an upgrade that increases tank fire rate/range/speed
MORE POWER TO THE SAINT!
think aswell as having a loot box kinda system on the levelup having a sudo passive ability per faction activate aswell, like for british youd have red cross something something slightly heal all units then like a slight tank reduced spawn timer for the french kind of thing something that isnt totally op but just a little boost for the higher difficulties once cheese mechanics have been removed (like the trench thing). think it would incourage a lot more active combat in the game as each faction would have more insentive to gain kills.
There should be a motorcycle with turret that would spray down every thing in it's path but when it gets to the enemy trench there a 50% change of it crashing and getting stuck in it
I don’t know if fighter planes appeared in WW1 but I think aerial units should be involved. You can have them shooting from the sky asserting domination through the skies. When they reach the end they can loop back to base (like the tunnels in pac man) and gun down enemies once again. Although, the planes have a small health pool as they are low tech, yet hard to shoot down by normal ground infantry (aka they miss a lot). Planes in this game would be fun to play around with as flying allies and enemies make for more diverse tactics and strategies.
1:35, fitting, the french start with a white flag in their home trench.
French Special Research: Engineers - your tanks will slowly regenerate health, taking longer to kill and allowing it to heal between trenches.
have a game mode where two people can play on the same device or online also a canada where they toss canned food and the opposing forces will group up there then the Canadian solder will toss a grenade also it will be funny if a maple leaf popped up over the exploding forces
You should add Austria-Hungary or atleast an division extention to the German empire because Austria-Hungary had a lot of divisions on the western front. By the way the tanks are pretty good off.
The game was fun. :) My dad doesnt let me write reviews so im doing it here. My strategy is, on maps 2 & 3, bring a sniper and take control of 1 side by side trench, and let the enemy take the other, and then you get an XP farm.
A active abilities for the french could be a passive heal fot theire tanks it would be slow at the start but with further research could be arond 10 hp per second to not be to op
The French should have a maginot line ability to place a line of bunkers with cannons and machine guns. Should be unlocked from the last tech tree upgrade.
You can make dugouts that protect units from Artillerie
There should be a special active ability for the french infantry allowing them to stay behind the tanks and depending in the type of tank is the number of infantry that will take cover behind it. If they are in cover they cant fire but they cant get hit as easily and can only disperse when they reach the enemy trench.
I like the idea of the passive ability of the French to be to stop a tack at a trench and it actually get a buff from the trench like infantry
you can do for the germans for units that a very fast low healt men goes into tanks and put a grenade inside in a holw in the side of the tank and do that all units are exclusive to one counrty take red alert 3 as example. I think this is a good update. by the way your game looks very good ❤❤
Austria-Hungary and her Gebirgsjäger or bust!
And don't forget to add all the Edelweiß!
Did You forget why it all started?! Lmao
Great game, Baron, proud of You :)
Baron for the German the stormtroopers could have a ability to throw grenades
An Upgrade for the brits and German to Spawn a small fraction of troops with camo. This alowns Thema to stay in a trench until a Tank rolled over to destroy IT from the Back. Counter to this would be the ultra heavy Tank of the french with the rear turret. If you send in a Tank plus infantry against camo the infantry will clear the trench upon arrival and have a small shootout with the camo Units...
AS a counter for the brits would be an Upgrade for German and france. Where they can have Bunkers which give all troops a +25% Chance to survive a direct artillery Hit.
AS a counter for Germany could be barbedwire for the french and brit trenches AS an Upgrade. IT slows troops from both Sides but dameges attaching troops especially.
These Upgrades are very expensive and hard to get in early Game but affordable in mid to late game
When it comes to WW1 Russia, they had a vast amount of troops, but slow mobilization, sometimes not even having enough guns for troops. Their con should be slower charge times, but the pro should be deployment of 2 troops at once, like a mini-wave.
America during WW1 was very good at production, so troops could have lower costs. However, many troops used british or french made equipment, so maybe a slight inefficiency?
The Ottoman Empire was mixed in joining WW1 or not. The pro-war ones went and 'accidentally' entered the war. Despite being a late addition to the Central Powers, they created the effect of threatening a Central Powers controlled Middle Eastern theatre. However they were combated by the Russian army, and the ANZAC who tried to head directly for the capital at Gallipole.
I like the idea of France having anti-tank traps that slow the enemy tanks or even as a Blockade that enemy tanks must break first but infantry could just ignore it.
Since they are the tank faction, why not make them a faction that gains advantages when up against an enemy tank.
A nice ability for the french would be a passive spawning tank. This would help against deadlock.
Always good to see uploads from Baron, keep up the great work!
About the game though, perhaps Russia, Austria-Hungary or Ottomans could be the next factions.
You should add a machine gun strafe run like the Japanese did during Pearl Harbor. They would shoot foot spoofers while flying until they ran out of ammunition.
You should add upgrades to the tank like better range, reload faster or bigger explosions. You could also add those small cars that they used during ww1 to reinforce the trenches and they would already have a few solders inside.
Feedback on the Germans Stormtrooper: The french tanks are clearly broken and overpowered so to counter this make the elite Stormtrooper unit really good at trench raides and anti infantry as well as make them decently cheap, also to counter the British being op as well as the french tanks (since both of these faction special abilities work in favor against the Germans, allow the Germans to build up much more fortified bunker meaning the tech tree for the Germans could be split up into two different things, one for upgrading German trenches to turn them into German bunkers of sorts (maybe you could add an extra upgrade once you unlock it which would allow for better defending and the other side could add like an epic helmet for the storm troopers which would act like gas masks but with extra protection, if you do this then you could buff British artillery bombardments to do more damage and make them more powerful against potentially the french tanks and since the tanks already have a pretty nice advantage against the Germans infantry it would make a balanced cycle which would create a sense of strategic and tactical game play which would allow for more thought to be invested in the choosing of your faction.
Baron, please create a mechanism for fighting in trenches so your units will not stop in a midle of the no mans land it woud by very more realistic
idea if in an oponents unit makes it into your trench your units will stop fireing and swich to close combat stile of fighting (but the unit has to make it to the trench first)
have trench combat so normal units storm the trench and do mealy combat but chosen units hold back and provide support .
also have different Countries have deferent units and stats.
as in
only the Americans had shot guns and they had great small arms so make them better at Assaulting.
only the Germans had flamethrowers butt they only had a few tanks so make them more expensive.
the British had the best bolt action rifle of ww1 and they had lots of tanks so make infantry fire faster and tanks cheaper for them.
the French had bad mgs and tanks butt were the best at defending so take that into consideration.
the Russa had lots of men so Maby cheap infantry.
also please have reparable trenches and tone down artillery.
PS read sid mieirs memoir the creator of the civilization games he has a lot of good advice for fellow game creators like you.
PPS The French historically actually had with the excretion of the renult the worst tanks of ww1 look it up.
Still waiting with my fourth time asking for medics. Troops have a chance that when they are shot down, they don’t die but fall wounded they crawl on the ground and wait for a medic. A medic will go out and grab wounded troops to bring them back to the trenches. After a certain amount of time in a trench, the soldiers that were saved are bought back out with a their character.there can also be an upgrade for them so that when you bring 2 out, you have a choice to turn them to a stretcher medic. Stretcher medics run out 2 at a time and bring the soldier back faster. Medics can’t be shot as it is a war crime, but they cant kill either. Also Bulgaria and Russia might be good teams to add.
The special research for the French could be specialised tracks on your tanks so they don’t get slowed as much by water
You should make the Russian faction (If you make one) have cheaper infantry units and also only let them use a light tank. You should also make different terrain types and have certain factions fight better in certain terrain, Like the Germans better in urban terrain and Russia better in snowy terrain. Just a suggestion though.
