Wah Gwaan brotha I did this to a rusted F150 years ago. No shop would touch it so I took it on. It took me about a month. I would use lubricant daily and with vise crips I wold twist them little by little, side to side. Then would use a regular map propane but I was happy to successfully take them both off. This job not for faint of heart. Glad I did it when younger 😆

Love it.. "bolts are broken.. I did not break..." what I say about my truck every time I try to work on it. Source? I own an 06 triton 4.6 v8 f150.. and just paid someone else to swear at the manifold and eventually make it sound normalish again, instead of doing it myself.

Invest in a BoltBuster. It’s a heat inductor and works perfectly for this without having to worry about burning wiring or anything else. Just did one of these trucks cpl weeks ago and that took saved me from using the torch lol

Those things are SO awesome and 100% worth getting. But sometimes the stupid bolts in a really tough spot. Good to know every method.

We had torches like that since before alot of people were even born.

Man I love Ford that's all I drive that's a common issue across all platforms when dealing with exhaust but okay I will freely admit taking the spark plugs out of some of those engines are oh my God
Only the manifold??? What about the loose rollers? What about the weak spark plugs ford provided? What about the failing timing that cloggs lines because of plastic? And lets not forget the vaccum solenoid that heats up and swells and catastrophic to the passenger side of the engine and brakes???? Tiny oil lines??? Explain this?? Phasers?? Rust in the cargo bed??? Weak diffs... I might aswell buy a chevy
Spitting straight facts on most exhaust honestly. My 98 s10 decided that not a single bolt was going to survive. Same with my 03 crown victoria.
Exhaust in a semi liquid state usually works,,,, welder helps too

Removing the manifold is half the job...now you have to extract the broken bolts.
Hemi 5.7 bolts break off in the head frequently. I believe they have to weld a bolt to the broken end to get bolt to turn. Get headers.
Step one. Pack that bowl for 2 but don’t invite anyone over. Proceed to the start of the video

I bought a tool. A guide plate and used reverse drill bits and a extractor.
Weld a nut to what's left in head to turn. Hemi's break constantly
