Nice! I saw Robben around this time at a now-gone club in San Francisco. Great performance, as all the other times I’ve been fortunate to see him. Specifically on this night he had Bob on sax and possibly Roscoe (sp) and Tom on bass and drums- maybe. It wasn’t billed as the Blue Line yet. Interesting there was no keyboard that night, still wonderful. My first chance to catch him after the Talk To Your Daughter album came out, so ...late 80s. It was the only time I’ve ever heard Robben play ‘Revelation’ (a fave tune) live...so that also makes it a super memorable night after all this time. Thanks for posting this, I have or had this Ohne Filter on vhs but no longer have a working vhs player.
Still my favourite robben ford song.
… thanks god that there was "ohne Filter" in german tv …
Really wanted to hear that guitar solo. That's the best guitar solo of all time. Beats Hotel California, China Grove et al.
Bob Malach on tenor sax, awesome!

Remember seeing this gig on German tv at the time.
Never seen this version. What a great player & at such a young age. My fave 4sure...! Thx...
Agree, great player but he was mid thirties here so not that young. He was, however also great in his early twenties when he was with the LA Express.
Always brilliant.👌🎸🎶🙌
that's the Robben Ford i remember...
Great !!!!
Did Clapton ever invite RF to those Crossroads jams ?
That’s a GOOD question.
Robben ford's playing is so freaking tasty. His voice sucks, though.
Can't agree there. His voice is just fine and is still strong today as he approaches 70.
there is a lot that goes into a vocal my friend, phrasing, feeling he has this in spades
