Ritchie is like old wine, he just keeps getting better. Too bad some listeners can't appreciate his present music. He's not going to regress to the decadence of modern rock. It left him, not the other way around, because it has nothing left that interests or inspires him to perform at his peak. This kind of music will still be played when today's rock has been buried.
Hey when youre a musician its about the music soft or hard, these songs are great mystical songs one of the best albums Ive heard lately, no doubt these songs brought me back to my own medieval past lives
blackmore's creativity never seems to run out. I think its great that he is playing what he wants to play instead of just rehashing the same old music like some other artists. Change will never effect him because he is so musically versitile. I also like his knack for going outside the box and incorporating exotic themes in his music that take you on an adventure. Genious.
Holy shit, Dio is 70???!!! Damn, the very fact that he can still stand up straight is a testament to the man's greatness. Let alone the fact that he is still an amazing singer. Yeah, I never saw Blackmore live either. Saw Deep Purple a couple of years ago, but it was with Steve Morse. Awesome show still.
Hear! If you don't like BN don't see the videos. It's very easy. I like BN so much, I've never hear this lovely music before and now, when I listen to them I feel very peaceful. (sorry if my English is too bad, I'm Spanish)
ritchie left deep purple and reformed rainbow, doing a fantastic rock album, stranger in us all, he also did several gigs and toured, it wasnt until later that he formed blackmores night
Never heard anything of Blackmore's Night before. At first disappointed me... but as I keep listening the song I find it quite good. Hope to se Dio and Blackmore together again one day. =(
The excessive reverb is present all through the recording. It is how it was recorded. Great song, and her voice is pure silk if you ever have the chance to listen with your ears.
First of all, Dio rocks harder than most men. : ) Saw him with Heaven & Hell last year, and it was absolutely fantastic! Second, this is awesome stuff man. Ritchie hasn't gone soft. He's always been into this kind of stuff. He was one of my favorite guitarists and continues to be. I mean I understand if you don't dig this stuff, but to call it weak...I think that's an insult ot Ritchie and to his music.
No one can deny that buckethead is technically skilled, but anyone with an emotional range greater than that of a spoon can hear the soul in this music. Not that Buckethead isn't dedicated to his music, not at all. This is just different.
Ritchie is the God of the Guitar!!! He is just incredible musician!! You can still hear it, his playing is so amazing! But it's a pitty, that he didn't find better musicians to make this band. Especially the singer isn't good, she is just beautifull... It is such a pitty! But he is still genius and the BEST!!
todoo lo que se refiere a Ritchie es grandioso... esta banda es tan diferente yy el sonido de blackmoreee cambioo totalmente a lo que hacia con DP y Rainboow es un dioos!!
why wasn't a guitar solo like this one in the studio version? :( He just keeps the flow of the song and just adds some notes, at the first view! but by doing so, he tells his own moving, emotional story, without any words... hm? what am I saying?!?^^ well, this is the Blackmore-magic! and it works in many styles. so here.
"and now my love come take my hand we'll go back in time to that mystic land where the dew drops cry and the cats meow i will take you there i will show you how"
I really didn't want this to be spinal tap's stonehenge or Dave St Hubbins' girlfriend's band but it is. I love Blackmore and I know he's capable of so much more. She's fit mind I can see why he's just married her :) Can't see her knocking Child in Time any time soon...Long Live the original Deep Purple.
Out of Ritchie's work, I liked Rainbow best, and Deep Purple second best. That was my taste as a young teenager growing up in the eighties. I think I liked Rainbow's vocalists better: Dio and JLT particularly. :-) I saw Ritchie live in concert with Deep Purple on the House Of Blue Light Tour in Providence, Rhode Island in April of 1987.
Pretty descent song once Ritchie steps up and solos. He still has the chops and they sound good. The singer, his wife, is only passable here. Maybe its the recording. I've heard some recordings where she sounded pretty good.
Buckethead is much better than all these other guitar shredders!! He has a very good feeling although he also can play very fast and technical stuff, but he doesn´t do that very often. Of course Blackmore is unrechable, but Buckethead goes in a similar direction with feeling and he goes his way no matter what people say about. He has much more character than all these "guitar heroes" that no one needs...
Well buckethead is a veeeeery good guitarist, his best album TO ME, is Colma watching the boats, woow amazing song but hey this is a blackmore video, and Blackmore is a God,he is malmsteen´s father
I'm not sure exactly what you are saying. No,Blackmore has never actually pissed on me. The people he "pissed on" over the last 4 decades are all the musicians,promotors,producers,roadies...etc that he has ever worked with.
i saw blackmores night at reading recently. Ritchie wasnt interested, he didnt play any solos and never picked up his strat. To top it all they didnt do any encores. The crowd nearly started a riot and wanted their money back. How this man has fallen from being a guitar legend.
Luv the progression from Deep Purple to Rainbow to Blackmore's Night...a flowing. This is most awesome! Feeling back in another time and place....
Ritchie is like old wine, he just keeps getting better. Too bad some listeners can't appreciate his present music. He's not going to regress to the decadence of modern rock. Simply beautiful.
great Ritchie, simply the best...
She's absolutely stunning - in a 'girl-next-door' way - I'm so happy for both of them. God bless you, Ritchie.
Que voz linda a Candice tem e sempre amo os solos do Ritchie 😍🎶
Candice Night has a gorgeous voice. Clear as crystal. It's just the recording.
First speaking, I love this band, I am excellent, perfect, and this video clip I found pretty of, wonderful more, without words, very good.
I still like this song!
Just beautiful!!! Master Ritchie is a genius and Candice has the voice of an angel.
so ein geiles Lied und eine geile Band

This is the best song of Blackmore's Night.
I am so happy he finally found himself in this kind of music :)

Holy shit, Dio is 70???!!! Damn, the very fact that he can still stand up straight is a testament to the man's greatness. Let alone the fact that he is still an amazing singer.

I'm not saying he shouldn't, if he's happy like that, he should do that!
I love people who folloqw their hearts.
Never heard anything of Blackmore's Night before.

Uma pérola

Que mujer tan hermosa, y esta canción me gusta mucho :)

SHIT!!!!!!ROCK ON AGAIN R.B!
Have you given Michael Schenker a listen? He is the original "non shred" guitar virtuoso. Best album he's been a part of was "Lights Out" from UFO.
Love BlackMore ,,Rainbow rules ,,DP too..But is interesting ...
You say weird, I say great :D
Thanks, jaja, but I'm 100% Spanish. I recognize that I like languages very much, but I've never hear that I write English so well, hehe ^^
"and now my love
come take my hand
we'll go back in time
to that mystic land
where the dew drops cry
and the cats meow
i will take you there
i will show you how"
I AGREE
Mrs.Blackmoore looks like Stevie Nicks. Peace.

Ritchie Blackmore has acted like this goingback to his Rainbow days. No news here.
does anyone know where i can the video for i still remember by them ?
The bass player is in my class.
Who's the bird playing guitar and singing backing vocals??
This was to reply to some older post but it didn't go where it was supposed to. I hope no-one is mislead by this.
muy tuanis...pero que cambio a estar viendo el solo de Strange kind of Woman del Made in Japan...
Me thinks the wench is hot. I always listen to this track whilst jousting!!
What do you mean "rock on again"? He still totally rocks.
Is that a mandolin in the beginning of the song?
Out of Ritchie's work, I liked Rainbow best, and Deep Purple second best.

Those - solo end signing - triplets at 4:00 - fine!!!
He uses just those in Spanish Nights too - but sans fait rien!
This is not fuckin crap. Ritchie found what he always wanted to do
o, sure, i didn't read the Q properly, yeah, Candice is the lead vocalist.
you cant blame her for ritchie leaving DP .. Ritchie choose for it himself, and nothing can change the direction he took.
Goddness, hear the moment from 3:00 ^^
pls leave that end pick up again yours strat pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!
@JBL850 It takes a snob to know a snob
O.O It's like, almost Celtic. lol. xD But not quite. More like... knights n' stuff. Like bardic music. Cool! xD
...WTF!!!!!!!! is this...the greatest Heavy Metal Rock guitar playin w/banshees!!! this is the end
he did this after rainbow.
Pretty descent song once Ritchie steps up and solos. He still has the chops and they sound good. The singer, his wife, is only passable here. Maybe its the recording. I've heard some recordings where she sounded pretty good.
Blackmore was never happy before he met Candice Night.
You can understand why he was happy after though, right? :o)
Hell worcesterwombat!! That's funny!
Well buckethead is a veeeeery good guitarist, his best album TO ME, is Colma watching the boats, woow amazing song
but hey this is a blackmore video, and Blackmore is a God,he is malmsteen´s father
Why? What happened?
cand anyone hear that the soloist is deftoned?
Candice Night is gorgeous 😅
You're not English?
Seriously, that little bit of text you wrote contained very good English (and better than many English people!)
Surely you haven't seen another singer!
I'm not sure exactly what you are saying.
No,Blackmore has never actually pissed on me.
