Wow man you got me thinking about the whole history of football with your insights, top quality info and I really do hope both Sheffield clubs one day come back to the elite, same goes for Leeds united as well.
I’d recommend doing a video on Sheffield United’s tactics under Chris Wilder. The offensive 3-5-2 with overlapping centre backs is innovative and unique, and part of United’s success with a limited budget is due to teams being unable to counter this style of play. Surely it is interesting enough to warrant a video.
One of these needs to be done for Birmingham. England’s second city, second largest population in Britain too. 6 clubs if you count Wasall, Wolves and West Brom, with Villa and Birmingham in the championship, and Solihull Moors looking likely to be promoted to League 2 this season. Surely, as it’s the first time ever, that Birmingham/the West Midlands arent properly represented in the premier league, with only wolves in it.

You can point out PL omissions from many parts of the country, look at the top footballing teams from the early part of the 20th century and you'll see names of places that are in the lower divisions today. A great team in the 1930s or 1970s doesn't equate to a big club today. The rise and fall in fortunes used to be a lot more fluid in the past before massively rich owners bankrolled teams. As a Wednesday fan, it’s a disgrace how we have had so little success for either team in so long. Since we went down in 2000, there’s been one season (soon to be two now) in the premier league for that other team and little success to shout about. We’ve both dropped as far as the 3rd division in that time and faced transfer embargo’s, dodgy owners and rubbish investment. All this despite getting nearly 30,000 for us and around 25,000 for them, it’s incredible fans still bothered but they did. I should be mad about united going up, but tbh they’re doing everything right: they’ve got a manager who’s united through and through and innovative in tactics, they’ve got foreign investors who are staying hands off (and even getting their shares bought back again) and don’t seem like they’re going to bankrupt themselves to stay in the premier league. The city needs success like this and while I wish so much it was us, I have to hand it to them and hope it can only help bring investment to the city.

This is a decent video although United were not formed in 1899 but in 1889. Onn the last part of the video where it states both clubs/Sheffield will continue to underachieve until both clubs sort out their institutional issues, I actually think the reason both clubs have not established themselves in the Premier League is largely because Wednesday have spent badly, United also to an extent but to establish a club in the top flight requires huge wage bills, bigger than huge clubs from abroad in many cases.
