  • La Jolla Cove in San Diego California is a marine reserve and just cram packed with fish and other marine life. Thousands of colorful garibaldi swim freely with dozens of sea lions, sheephead fish, giant calico bass, lobsters and even a few green sea turtles! This cove is protected and a no take zone and shows us what California use to look like 100 years ago. Even the abalone and giant black sea bass have come back to this unique cove. In the middle of the cove is a deep water trench that brings in certain species close to shore like the giant halibut and even a few great white sharks from time to time! Here is a documentary movie I filmed about the marine life in La Jolla Cove showing how successful a marine reserve can be!
