"What are you up to? You have that same smug look you had in your face when you found that recording of Kirsten Flagstad's 1932 Gotterdammerung in the discount bin."
I've always wanted to ask Kelsey or David if they knew what all that high falutin' culture stuff they spouted was about or if they were as in the dark about it as the rest of us 🤷🏼♂️🤓😎✌🏻
Flagstad didn't sing Gotterdammerung until 1934. The joke may have been that it would have been a find indeed to have a 1932 version, perhaps from an unknown private recording, just as in rock & roll etc early/bootleg tapes are prized discoveries.
Why don't they make intelligent witty funny comedy sitcoms like these anymore ????😒 Instead there so much of reality tv garbage shows and other brain dead shows with people who can't act ..... I actually prefer to watch repeats of old shows ( golden girls, Frazier, the nanny ect .... ) brilliant shows, never gets old, super talented actors, interesting story lines.... aaaah the shows from the 80s, 90s and early 2000...... memorable shows 🤗
That cracked me up! The bit where Daphne implies the name Desmond Crane sounds like a criminal name was in the same episode, both moments cracked me up.
My favourite classical music reference in Frasier: I have laughed with her during "Figaro", cried with her during "Tosca", I even had a dream about her during "Einstein On The Beach".
I love this compilation, I really do! However there is a quote from “Out with Dad” (where he sees Rigoletto with Martin) which I consider to be a “moment musicaux” too where Frasier tells Roz: “I have laughed with [a woman he wants to approach] during Figaro, cried with her during Tosca, I even had a dream about her during Einstein on the Beach.”
The only show that uses the nuances of the English language in comedy to great effect from the writers and actors for delivering them. That what's makes it a superior show and why it is still on our tv's.
They specialized in theatrically great ribaldries such as "While Frasier was getting his Rachmaninoffs..."; "Bolshoi Artist"; and the Legendary "Why, Dr. Crane, Your Glockenspiel has sprung to life!"😂☺🎤🎹👨🎓☕☕📻📺B.W.
I wanted to see the greatest soprano debate: Maria Callas vs. Renata Tebaldi. It's been years, so I can't remember exactly, but I think Dad pretends like he knows who Tebaldi is to impress his gay suitor.

This had better have Frasier and Niles singing Wagner whilst coming in the door. That part makes me laugh so hard!!!! Edit: YEP, THERE IT IS!!! AH HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAH A HAH A HAHA HA HA HA !!!!!!

He didn't belong to John Mahoney but had his trainer on set, a woman named Matilda if I remember it correctly. John Mahoney always said Eddie was really a very well trained actor who upstaged all of them all he time. He was replaced after season seven by one of his puppies.
Oh how I miss the intelligent humor of this show!
Not Whoopi then.

This show was utterly brilliant...
What’s so great about this show no one was ever replaced and they all got along like family
I wanted to be part of the gang, as a friend, neighbor, long lost relative, whatever.
The station manager
To me it's stupid people and smart people can get
Amen
I'm glad they didn't. They had a lot of issues with Kelsey due to his alcoholism.
It made this show even better that they act so pretentious, but they constantly make little mistakes that people as educated as them should notice.
I forgot Frasier and Niles knew how to play the air violin.
Love all these characters, even Lilith, wish she was on more.💪🏻😆👍🏻💖

I was going to bring up that one too.
hahhahaha
Wasn't that sung by the Oompas on Willie Wonka?

Because too many people today are not educated enough to get the humor. 😐
I'll always be so young as to enjoy the 1812 Overture
1812 boring, and you know what they can do with the dam cannons
I prefer to interpret it as he finally realized that it's not technically classical. XD
@@CanImperator I like that.
I wish they would have played the part where Martin jumps in singing with Frasier, Niles and David Ogden Stiers, "the scary hippopatumus".
Oh YES!!!!!
I love that.

The end of that episode was the BEST! “On a tree by the river, a little Tom tit.....”
This was the greatest TV show in the history of TV.

My favourite classical music reference in Frasier: I have laughed with her during "Figaro", cried with her during "Tosca", I even had a dream about her during "Einstein On The Beach".
Is it bad that I understand the 1812 overture gag SO well? God, I feel a snob for knowing that.
For some reason, in the first clip, the part where Frasier sings "Great Balls Of Fire" was cut from that episode on the DVD release.
It was probably due to a licensing issue with the DVD being sold in various countries. :(
I thought I was crazy and just didn't remember the song!
For shame, for shame....
Eddie was the smartest little dog!
Yes he was, and the outtakes he Stole a lot of scenes… FYI that Dog made $5000 an episode
taxmann1990 I seem to recall that there was more than one Eddy.
@@winnifredforbes8712 There were two. Moose, the original Eddie, and his son, Enzo, who took over when Moose "retired".

How Niles paraphrases Wagners Parsifal: “Ah, er ist schön, der Knabe!” so funny
Hahaha I love that moment. The zeal with which Niles delivers it really sells it.
And then when Niles says “she couldn’t hit an E flat of a high C to save her life”. Wouldn’t it be just an E?
Roz’s dad was part of the news crew, here in Philly. He was a wonderful man. He was Great at making us laugh.
llove the bit with Niles hitting the high note when he saw Martin and Sherry
I agree with M there, never will be a such wonderful show as Frasier
Frasier looks so much nicer with his shorter hair trim than his older flowy locks.
I actually like the Tchaikovsky's 1812 overture
I agree. It's so exhilarating.
You must be young
You actually get used to it after a while.

Best sitcom ever - my all time favorite
The only show that uses the nuances of the English language in comedy to great effect from the writers and actors for delivering them. That what's makes it a superior show and why it is still on our tv's.
Frasier is one of life's little ironies - such a beautiful steriotype
Positively pompous 🤓😂😂
Rick and Morty fans wouldn’t know a high IQ show if it punched em in the face. Frasier fans know what’s up
People say friends is the best but this is truly the greatest
Friends was to sitcoms as bubble gum pop is to classic Rock & Roll, no comparison... SMH...🤔

The 1812 Overture **is** a great piece of music.
1812 WAS and IS a great piece of music
So freakin witty
"Remember when you used to think the 1812 overture was a great piece of classical music?"
WittyUsernamehere Was I ever that young?
What is the name of the song that he played at the beginning of the video? Ok found it "Great Balls of Fire" by Jerry Lee Lewis.
Before that it was sunshine on my shoulder by John Denver
Frasier's voice sounds like he's on helium at 1:18 WTF LOL
