Whenever 'best of Frank Sinatra' lists come up, this song always gets a little honourable mention as being a Frank tribute...plus, seeing the three Crane men together like this is just so sweet
I think Martin was right: this would have been a great Sinatra song. Biggest missed moment: not having Ronee sing this when she was a lounge singer and fell in love with Marty.
I was about 14 when I first time saw it, I fell in love with it immediately, unfortunately our tv did not bought more than three seasons.. I keep it in my mind till I was able to watch the whole series three times My favourite show
xD I'm not even 20, but I can't describe how much I love Frasier's show humour. I always crack up when Nile's clenching the teeth and after the remark of cardiologist haha
I like his clenched teeth smile in the episode where freddie tells him frasier and lillith are getting back together. "What's this joyous news I hear" lmao
I was just watching this on the Hallmark Channel and for some reason, after right after the "wee hours of the morning" they started to play the chorus instead of Martin going babidi bop bop baaaaaaaaaah
+Cesar Cortez •• they probably cut the original 27-min ep down to about 22 min, so a lot of funny lines are missing. instead of charging advertisers more per commercial, to save the integrity of shows, stations choose to cram more commercials in to the allotted time slot. funny lines & scenes are cut out. screw us viewers, right?
I like the part of this episode where they were reminiscing about her & how mean she was and none of the family liked her.and then that song at the funeral that Frazier had sung, really for his dad,not her.
fraiser and niles could almost pass as real brothers, great acting, from a couple of snobs who could also be a couple of wimps! love the show and great writers, only this cast could have pulled it off
We think that martin crane and si flembeck are the same person. He said that he could not write music so he used other familar songs and changed the words.
Spyro Fan Yep he played the piano. Kelsey Grammer never did though, the music was played while he pretended to hit the same keys. You can see in a blooper he hits the keys and the sound is delayed 😄
Yes, he is a trained classical piano player. He started playing at the age of 8 and his aspiration was to become a concert pianist. He went all the way to Yale to take a major in music. But then changed it to English and went into drama and acting instead. But he still plays. I think Kelsey Grammer did some playing but he's not as good as DHP, so sometimes he wasn't playing.
What I can’t figure out about Frasier’s apartment is he (like Niles) is supposed to be such an intellectual, yet he barely has any books. There’s a small bookcase that the phone sits on top of, and that’s it. And I don’t think his room contains a bookcase. I love the show, but I think the set designers dropped the ball on this one.
@@michaellengyel Daphne’s room was once his study, so that’s probably where the books were intended for. Besides I think there’s a low bookcase right behind his headboard.
I love this episode. Such a family centric episode. Frasier, Niles, and Martin, all working together on something.
Mee too
Hilarious 😂

Would’ve been great if his son recorded it.
"perhaps a cardiologist..." utterly genius writing.
"hidey hadey, ringiy dingy or scooby dooby"!
@@houndandhandbag scoobidy, bip, bop, BAM! 😄

🎵He's such a groovy brutha
He makes my heart go hubbahubba!🎶😅
its actually a really catchy tune! love this episode xD
Absolutely LOVED this episode! ❤🎹🎶 What a kind thing of Frasier and Niles to do for Martin. And what a great tune it is too! 🥰
“Cat go fraidy” was the right choice.
HoyaSaxaSD it should have been “smoothest cat” not “bravest cat”
100% agree.
Truth.
The real struggle of lyrical collaboration between musicians/lyricist
I sent this youtube to my wife on her phone during work hours as a dedication to her to express my love. She thought it was so cute. lol
Gotta love Niles teething his lower lip when he's getting into the song!
I know right!?

It just dawned on me that Niles ends up having heart surgery. It turns out his was the heart going hydee hadee, scooby dooby, and ringy dingy!
that's funny
@larry baker Thanks! I, of course, forgot that I wrote it. I love that episode. That one and the bar mitzvah episode are hilarious.
One of my favourite scenes from the series.
Geez 27 years since this episode aired…where does the time go
I especially like when the choir sings it later on. "Oh yeah, oh yeah, ooohhh, yeeeaaahhh!"
what a show! Great, Great actors all around! You have all blessed me. Many thanks to all involved.
"Can you tell me how to get...how to get to Frasier street"
Such a good show, genius writing, and impeccable actors

I'm in my early teens, and I'm watching Frasier. IT'S GREAT!!!
why does your age mean anything?
No mininum age for well written shows, unless its dirty
She's such a groovy lady.
She's got me thinking maybe
She's coming home with me ton-i-i-i-ght
ONE of MY 5 FAVE EPISODES EVER!! x^D
When the start the song "from the top", the opening riff sounds like the opening for the original "Sesame Street" theme!
Hard Boiled Entertainment haha, yea!
Because it is!
And they all think its super cool!!
I love this song so much also RIP John Mahoney.
She's such a groovy lady 🥰😘🥰😘❤❣❤ and a groovy show. Love and miss them all . RIHeaven John 🥰🙏

I can totally hear Frank Sinatra singing this.
They can do it now with artificial intelligence!
I wonder if Frank really had a response to this song
This NEEDS to be a real song haha
Oh dear God now I will have groovy lady on my brain. She such a groovy lady.
😅🎶❤👍...Thank you 👍...And Thank You Lord ✝️ for the Tingles , and the mention of Cab Calloway 🙏❤✝️
Martin screaming "bopity bop bah ah ah ah ah" is freaking hilarious
After the intro I just want to sing "Suuunnyyy days, sweeping the, clooouuuuds aaawaaaaaay"

I always LOL when I see Kelsey's head bop down right here ... 1:51 ... Idk why, it just cracks me up!
Frasier sounds so good singing the melody here!
Rest in peace John Mahoney :'(
This would be me and my friends trying to make a song.
When they begin the song it sounds like they're going to play the Sesame Street theme song!😁😊🤣🤣
The intro piano riff kinda reminds me of the Beach Boys son Good Vibrations
Isn't the intro to this just the Seasame Street theme
It was the theme from Sesame Street the piano intro. Then it got me thinking about the lyrics. Strange lyrics.
She makes my heart go "COOKIES!!!!!"
She's such a Grover lady.
Big Bird a-bee-bop-bop pow!

I've always wondered how they got a grand piano up into an apartment
They got it as a flat pack from IKEA?
They used a Crane ;)
@@jassonsw any pun intended?

He also sang and played piano in the musical Spamalot as Sir Robin the not so brave
niles has much better taste in art than frasier, the only significant piece in frasiers apartment is his rauschenberg

Does anyone know the sheet music on this???
No, but you can probably play this by ear.. It's in the key of F so try F, B-flat and C7 and you'll figure out the rest easily.
Just recently I had a great transcription site help me out with a piece that Niles played on one of the episodes.....mysheetmusictranscriptions.com
The opening notes are the same as the theme song to Sesame Street
Tells you something about Sinatra's world....
Here from Judge John Hodgman
👍😁👍
So did they write this song for the episode and who wrote it?
This song stinks on ice. The intro sounds like the beginning of "Sesame Street".
