I can’t say I’m sorry, because he really was a monstrous dictator. However, Syrians won’t fare any better with the rebel factions fighting each other for power. In fact, I feel sad for all of the countries on this list. It’s the government that is horrid, not necessarily the citizenry. I’ve been saying for decades that our nation’s inequity is not sustainable. Cost of living keeps going up, pay stays stagnant, and the wealthy keep dining on their caviar in front of everyone.
