I literally downloaded WitW yesterday, printed out the player handbook and sat staring at this opening screen for Operation Husky thinking where the hell do I start! Your series could not be more timely. Thank you
Great tutorial! It's a must a tutorial like this for a beginner. Since years I wished play a Gary Grigsby's game saga. The leaning curve will be softer landing on this "beachhead". Thank for your work for the community,
Slow going tutorial, verbose, perfect. Your careful and full explanations are giving me confidence that soone I'll know what I'm doing. thank you! Subscribed.
You have helped me to understand and play WITPAE with great confidence, and now you are going to be helping me to understand and play WITW. I was kind of hoping that you were going to be doing the grand campaign, but I guess it makes sense to do the introductory scenario. Look forward to following through this tutorial.
Great that you’re covering this as I purchased the game recently. Been struggling with paratrooper drops and Beachead landings so it’ll be interesting seeing you do this. I’ve also had trouble with the fonts and text overlapping but I dropped my graphics display res to lower which worked. This may help the other players reading this as the text couldn’t be read on my standard graphics settings it was all overlapped and jumbled. Keep up the good work. Thanks.
Thank you for this. I have only played once and I found it a bit hard to navigate stuff like logistics and loading/landing troops. The game clearly has so much promise though.
Thanks for doing these videos Chris. I certainly would've needed to return the game if it weren't for you. It's still very complicated though. Much of the text in the game is squashed/overlapping/out of alignment. How do I fix this? There doesn't appear to be any resolution settings in game. Have any advice anyone?
Great video overall. Couple things I noticed: Pressing AI manage air units does not have the AI run the air war. It merely has the AI move air units generally forward particularly tactical Air Force units. Page 126 of the living manual Also, Berlin did not fall to the Soviets in August of ‘45 it fell in April with the final Capitulation of Axis forces coming in May.
That might be really hard even for experienced players. What I think would be awsome is the entire map of europe, north africa an the middle east. And just play from 1939 to like january of 1946. The entire war in europe plus change
Love your chanel but please the Czechoslovakia was part of the Allies (not Axis). Czechoslovakia was occupied from 1939 and added to the German reich as protectorate. Official governament went to exile in England and Czechoslovak army legions participated in both wester and eatern battles on the side of Allies (same as in first WW). I belive you are mixing Czechs with Slovak state army. This was army of the fashists Slovak republick which was client state crated after the occupation of Nazi germany and participated in the invasion to Poland and USSR. Thank you.
When do they come out with The Third Reich? The whole war would be amazing. Heck take it one step further and add in the Pacific and have a huge WWII game. When does Gary plan to do that? Avalon Hill had a terrific Third Reich game.
Hey mate, cheers for this! Just curious, how does this compare to WitE2. Is the newer game better or different in any way? (Apart from being Eastern front)
Thank you for doing this. Thanks to Mrs Dojo too for her understanding and patience.

When will be the next tutorial?
Will definitely be following this one.
Excellent thanks. Hopefully these will be extended to an hour in future....
Thank you for doing this! You have the best tutorials!
Two minutes in and loving it! We learn in much the same way!
I really appreciated you taking the time to demonstrate this game! Thank you!

Really nice intro to the game. You make it very easy! Nice work!

Please more War in the West tutorials and how to play
Indeed, I am literally waiting to start a game untill the next tutorial

Thinking on buying it myself
Awesome! Thank you! Much needed for me and for war in the east 2 (I believe it has a lot of war in the west influence in it).
Great tutorial, but I cannot find part 2
Great, been waiting for this, thanks.
Great segway into wite2 too.
just wanted to say i just love the tutorials. Appreciate all your effort.
Good good good 😊 will buy this one on steam summer sales.
Excellence 💪🏻👍
Thank You...just Thank You for this series!
The Air Priorities Men is not available in War in the East 2. Is that correct?
They added an extended scenario for the Air Campaign based on Point Blank. It is an expanded version of the Introduction air game.
Thank you for this. I have only played once and I found it a bit hard to navigate stuff like logistics and loading/landing troops. The game clearly has so much promise though.
Of course, difficulty levels can also be custom. I often have the Germans, when playing allies, at 105 or 110 for fort, morale etc.
Thanks for the tutorial,i didnt know where to begin with this game
Great! Thank you.

4:11 yup having been at war from the beginning... thats September 1939 by the way, not December 1941.
But agreed, we'll take it for what it is.
Thank you for this video. Which is better? War in the West or War in the East 2? Looking to buy one of them. Thank you.

I wish Gary would make just the entire map a game. I would love to play out the entire war.

How many of these monster games can you play at once?!
Strategy Gaming Dojo : Yes

Good to know. Thanks for the comment
