I’m half way through the video, but I just had to comment: it’s so refreshing to see you again doing in-depth airframe-specific videos. I have really missed these. Thanks!
HOLY CRAP! That is extremely complex! You have put a lot of work and time into this for all of us to understand what is going on. Immense thanks to you for this. A ton of work and explanation.
I have been spending a lot of time in the F5E II and it's the anti-F15E. There you have to turn a knob to BOMBS, then flick the toggle switch for that bomb, place your gunsight pipper on 95 depression angle, line up your target and drop them @ 3500 feet. So simple. This is the opposite. Like everything else, it will be like a pig on roller skates the first few times you try, but eventually we will be whizzing thru it like it's old habit. Nice job to learn it so well and to be able to teach it so fluently. You're the best!
I am glad this helps people out! I am just into the Mission Videos cause I don't have any of this stuff now or will I anytime soon! But I will still and always support GR, CAP, & TEAM! Have fun guys, wish I could use DCS and learn it. But now is not the time for that...
Thank you for not deleting this videos about unlucky Mudhen. SOme of the youtubers hide their F-15E videos and/or stopped doing new ones about it. I think it's wrong. People still need to learn the jet, and have references. (And yes, I did not used money back, and I still fly it a lot.) So people like me, who bought the aircraft just before the scandalous Razbam coming-out, can have something to refresh their knowlage, or study somethng new about the aircraft in this videos. I still not mastered the aircraft completely and You and Chuck's pdf really helps a lot!
This has been the most epic tutorial I have ever seen from y'all. Thank you. I am woefully noobish with the Mudhen, but I am trying desperately to follow along. Good shacks!!
Cap, this is amazingly diligent work! And I am a massive fan of your well organised tutorials. I do have this module but I think the complexity of the switchology of the F-15E has crossed the line for me, I'm going to stick to the relatively simple F/A-18, AV8, and A10. I could learn to do this in the F-15E but as it's harder than my real job as an AI/ML software engineer I think I will need to be paid 🙂!!
Yes it's a real concern for a lot of DCS'ers. Remembering this stuff to make a tutorial is OK. Remembering how to do it under pressure in a big mission is a different matter.
Wooooooowwwww!!! What an amazing explanation you have done! Too many things to keep in mind, but it’s just, practicing and practicing… Thanks a loot for such a great “resume” of dropping JDAM bombs. Congrats for you excellent tutorial 👍🏼
I'm happy with how easy all these methods are, it's really cool using the mission editor as well. I think my favorite method is using the coords on the ufc. I just bought the f15e and the f16c. I can't really pick a favorite, they're both awesome. I come from using the F18.
There is a bug when you try & equip the F-15E with a pair of the GBU-31(V)3 on the CFT racks. It shows that the GBU-31 is loaded on the armament screen, but there is nothing actually loaded on the jet. There is no issues when mounting a single GBU-31 (V)3 on the CFT racks.
I'm following the tutorial and using the same mission, but when I go through the process of converting the steer point to a target point, the "XFR RDR" dose not change to a sequence point, anyone know why? ( I already undesignated the radar target)
It is interesting to me that you can switch the Laser code on the GBU-54 in flight, while other Laser guided bombs need to be set on the ground via Ground Crew. Has the GBU-54 got some newfangled software/hardpoint connection that the older Laser Guidance kits lack?
so ufc and nav methods are essantially the same, just with nav you first create a waypoint with coords then turn it into a target and with ufc you directly put the coords in
It appears that you can't use that first method "CC" in the mission editor upon joining a multiplayer server......because there's no access to mission editor in MP.
In multiplayer on beta, I use TPOD to designate coords as you describe and the weapon disappears from screen and no coords get entered. Nothing populates and it goes blank
You can use "left Alt+ left mouse click" to pop up a temporary box with all the different types of coordinates in instead of having to write them all down
How razbaam know how the system actualy looks and works? Is this stuff made up? A honest question. And second: is this jet weapon completed, i.e can this jet handle a lot of weapons like A-G?
@@NickKerkwijk very interesting, i thought that must be secret and pilots are not allowed to give their knowledge either. For sure i did not except to be 1:1 real, but if its true, then this is something nice to have
@@ShqipeInfo-bc3ss iirc is this a 2007 version/suite F15E, so they now probably have different and better avionics in the Strike Eagles so it isnt a secret anymore
@@NickKerkwijk i got you, i understand, so you fly not the actual F-15, its a older system, which is like outdated. But still it is amazing for flight simmers to learn such systems... wow...

Cap how do you go from F6 bomb view to the “camera release” and it stops following the bomb?
One suggestion I have for 23:25 you can left alt + left click on F10 map so you dont have to note it to yourself. Great stuff as always cap
thx

GBU's have come a very long way. I was in the USAF in the 80's, and I worked with GBU-15's early on at Nellis. They were camera guided .

Been waiting for this tutorial! Thanks Cap!
thanks for the tutorials cap
Thank you so much cap I’ve been waiting for this video I love you ❤
Thanks for the tutorial, I was having some trouble with the new JDAMs in the strike eagle. Your video clear things up for me.

Hi Bel. I still struggle in it TBH.

Thank you for the wonderful job on getting the information out. I always enjoy watching your videos as I get lot of good information.
you are amazing !!
always looking for your tutorials in every new thing in DCS
Thanks a lot
Thx Sir for another very helpful no bs and straight to the line tutorial

the one that missed i believe if you use your manal laser range finder you can get better accuracy when you are using TPOD
Gotcha.
A better tpod and this will be amazing
I like the Strike Eagle more and more. Thank you for the tutorial!
F15 owners prob been waiting for this moment
You're the man Cap!
Thanks, I mostly use the ground radar mode plus T-pod for such things.

Yeh there's loads of bugs at moment I noticed. Will be fixed in next update I suspect.
Cheers Cap. Im just getting to know the F-15E 👍
Another great tutorial video, Cap!
A usable bomb truck! :) Thanks Cap
Freaking killer job for jdams cap
Cap…you dont know the left alt and click for coords in the f10 map?
Thanks
Hey CAP.... They added a new feature for pulling out coords and displaying them from the map..
Try LALT + Left click.
You're welcome.
I'm following the tutorial and using the same mission, but when I go through the process of converting the steer point to a target point, the "XFR RDR" dose not change to a sequence point, anyone know why? ( I already undesignated the radar target)
thanks alot for this video, that helps so much!!!

It is a smart weapon so it talks to the bird yes. Dumb bombs do not, the laser code is set on the ground on each bomb by ground crew.
Well that imploded me head
so ufc and nav methods are essantially the same, just with nav you first create a waypoint with coords then turn it into a target and with ufc you directly put the coords in
23:10 instead of pressing shortcuts just click on the coordinates in the top left corner
Does anybody know how to assign a mission to a manually entered coordinates? Cap says not to worry about it at 20:00 but I would love to know how
Wish you could drop 54s "blind" in CCIP mode and have them acquire the lase, basically turning it into a Paveway
Can you xfer mark points into the jdam?
I will investigate.
"I'm a little T-Pod, short & stout, Tip me over and...'
'POP! Goes the vehicle".
It appears that you can't use that first method "CC" in the mission editor upon joining a multiplayer server......because there's no access to mission editor in MP.
When will the GBU-72 be available
In multiplayer on beta, I use TPOD to designate coords as you describe and the weapon disappears from screen and no coords get entered. Nothing populates and it goes blank
Can the NAV sequence section only be executed using waypoint 1? I can't get it to work with 3 for example.
amazing
what mode is more precise to hit the targets...? TGP or RDR ?
RDR I think.
Hi cap, can we use the tpod to search certain laser code in this stage? Thanks.
You can use "left Alt+ left mouse click" to pop up a temporary box with all the different types of coordinates in instead of having to write them all down
thx
nice video!
Ok cool, now can we do this in game?
My weapon is HUNG. Giggity.
oof
holy jesus on a bike..........
In simple words: Fuck no.
Not doing JDAMs in the Eagle... :D
Strike minds eagle.
Great tutorial, but do you provide paracetamol with this tutorial, because there is a risk of brain damage.
lol
Sooo you cant use these in multi player yet?
There is a bodge to get it working.
How razbaam know how the system actualy looks and works? Is this stuff made up? A honest question. And second: is this jet weapon completed, i.e can this jet handle a lot of weapons like A-G?
They work with real pilots and documents so it is real for the timeframe of the jet. Not all weapons are available yet but they are coming
@@NickKerkwijk very interesting, i thought that must be secret and pilots are not allowed to give their knowledge either. For sure i did not except to be 1:1 real, but if its true, then this is something nice to have
It is open info provided by real pilots. Yes all of this is possible in real life.

Too complicated, wish it was simpler
Yeh it's pretty hardcore.
That’s why the strike eagle has a wso
I’m sorry but you can’t lase a GBU-38. It’s either a 12/10/16/49 or 54
its a PACS system thing. it labels 54's as 38's
But you literally saw me lase the bomb onto a moving vehicle?
