My favourite DCS model... Such a shame. I definitely wouldn't have bought it knowing what would happen. But I'm not refunding it hoping that matters will resolve.
@audunskilbrei8279 "But I'm not refunding it hoping that matters will resolve." Don't, things will be resolved but probably nothing to do with Razbam involved.
@@jbrad2529 I got refunded...took about 10-14 days, but never got a notice about the refund. Check both your email AND your account with DCS; the DCS account is where I found the credit. If they both get back to holding hands and release a single seat (F-15A or F-15C) full fidelity I would jump back in; don't really care for AI back-seater airframes of any sort. Good luck.
@HenryMH. That's like saying "Is it safe to jump with this parachute?" When you didn't pack it, don't know how to pack, don't know who packed it, and when it was packed. There is no way to make an informed decision, when the only way judge soundness of such decision, is in hindsight. So proper decision is not to make any RAZBAM DCS purchases until dispute is resolved and likelihood of future disputes are minimal.
Short answer: no. Explanation: Razbam and ED will not sort out their issues. There will not be a lawsuit neither can afford, and as a result Razbam will not support their modules going forward. As a result you’ll be left with at some point unusable mods. And ED will continue to seek them as it’s free money that doesn’t go to Razbam, and doesn’t go to support for these mods. One thing I do believe is that ED now has to make sure the mods they sell remain compatible with DCS. That either means DCS cannot significantly improve, or ED has to buy out Razbam for these mods. But it’s NOT acceptable for ED to continue selling these mods knowing they’re already broken it will break soon.
All RAZBAM modules are effectively 'dead' until dispute is resolved. I own AV-8B , Mirage 2000C, and South Atlantic map. Neither of three have seen updates.

Leaving this comment before watching the video so I can give my honest opinion...Definitely buy it! After flying the F14 for a few years(and loving it) I bought the F15E seeking a similar AI experience but with the added ground capabilities and MSD upgrades. After a month or two of flying the Eagle and learning its quirks and figuring out how to do everything I need to do from the pilot seat(I fly solo), I can honestly say that the only issue I have is that it doesn't have Datalink. Other than that, I have no issues or complaints. It's fast. It carries tons of fuel. It can carry a wide assortment of bombs and aamrams simultaneously. Its got a badass radar. It's awesome.
Honestly even if it was only maintained I'd say it's a no Brainerd buy. She's lethal AF, more capable than anyghing I've flown in dcs for putting warheads of for heads, and is intuitive as can be. It's an easy jet to get familiar with and my go to platform for eve thing, even SEAD/DEAD. Truthfully you only need this one platform and your ready to take on any mission anywhere, sans anti shipping and even then you can take on most vessels. Couple this with the pressure it puts on ED in it's popularity, it's only a matter of time before she's resupported.
I have it, and I love it. It's got enormous capability as-is, and I'm still far from mastering it. It's my favorite aircraft in DCS, and a phenomenal module... so long as it keeps working. I'm holding out hope that yes, RB and ED will work things out. Best-case scenario: I have finally mastered all the air-to-ground stuff just as they bury the hatchet and resume work on the module again, so I'm an ace just as we start getting Mavericks, WCMDs, datalink, and a new targeting pod. I can hope. It's not like we have ever had a module just unceremoniously dropped before... Oh, wait...
When you consider many DCS modules are still considered 'early access' several years after release, the Strike Eagle isn't doing so bad. I have no doubt it will be worked on further, but I wouldn't bet money that its ever out of 'EA'! (The hornet and viper are still EA lol)
The company having done the development, Razbam, and being the only ones having access to the source code, is not on speaking terms with Eagle Dynamics, the creators of DCS. Most of the freelancers who were hired by Razbam have moved on as well. I wish the outlook would be better, but I think the F-15E (and other Razbam modules) will see no further development. It will be very difficult for ED to introduce updates to the base game which will not result in bugs with the Razbam aircraft eventually.
I won't refund for it... I'm actively using it and i wait the dispute is being solved...i want this aircraft finished with all the remaining armament and all systems
I loved the plane but I still refunded it and got a different module. This issue has gone on far too long and it started way before we ever found out about it. I would happily buy it again if the situation sorts itself out but I have no faith in that. I don’t care who was originally to blame. I’m the customer and ED is responsible for the products THEY sell. I can’t believe ED is getting away with still selling this product but not paying Razbam. The whole thing stinks and for now my flight sim money is going elsewhere. Next will be refunds on all of Razbams products because they WILL eventually start to break due to sim updates. Not sure why anyone would be buying Razbam products right now.
One thing that sticks out to me about the F-15E module is how freakishly thin the pilot's forearms look in VR. It looks like you've inhabited the body of a kid who hijacked the plane.
Lots of advertising, tutorials, but the flight model is just sick. If you go into a tight turn at over 7.5 G the wingtips twist like corkscrews and stay that way. This is unacceptable, because no fighter plane is built this sloppy. After some initial enthusiasm, I have stopped flying the “thing” and will only do so after a proper update.
