Hayabusa Bond Buggy 1/4 Mile 11.22 @ 117mph

- I loved this mad Hayabusa turbo powered Bond Bug that was at Ultimate Street Car 2018 at Santa Pod Raceway. He put is several 11 second runs, with a best recorded by of 11.22 @ 117mph. He has a best of 11.06, and was trying to get into 10's, but sounded like he was hitting the rev limiter on each run, which prevented this. Was still one of the stars of the show.

hitting the limiter at 118mph at least half a second BEFORE the quarter mile! that is one seriously quick machine!
Be good to see it back out with slightly bigger wheels or different gearing

I saw the owner/builder being interviewed and he has set the limiter relatively low because of some issues with the ecus.
Just watched that interview, interview-e i think craped his drawers. Lol,

Gearing is way to short, change the final drive. Impressed
he does that to keep the engine to fail.

@@chriswarren9549 needs different gearing to save the engine.
@@sidewayssam Nothing to do with the gearing, he has set the rev limiter allot lower than normal, to prevent the ECU's conflicting with each other.

Definately a wow! But as others here have said taller gearing required - top speed looks to be about 117mph and with proper shifting it would get to that 2/3rds of the way down the track!

Awesome but I hate that they go through all the trouble of making such a nice setup but don't have a quickshifter installed. Also the gearing is way too sort.
Yep, I mentioned the gearing in my comments. Could be in the 10s if it didn't hit the limiter. Wicked motor though
I was thinking the same thing (re: gearing)...fit some taller tyres on the back and high tens all day long.
HE does that to keep the engine from failing.
I used to have a Bond, but it didn't go like that...

@@VeeDubRacing only just seen this reply! 🤦♂️ It was running at 300hp/300lfbt, 630cc injectors 20thl hybrid turbo, forge intercooler and induction kit, track spec gripper diff, bc coilovers, D2 forge big brake kit and much more, it's just been crushed though 😔 killed 3 engines last year so I broke it for parts. Could do with you guys putting a turbo busa in my new cappuccino! 😂

@@VeeDubRacing mines not that fast compared to some of the big hitters! Couple of lads hit the 500 mark! There's a dude that has a drag Meg but the only megane part of it is the shell! 😂

I know this is old but as I know a shit ton on cars and trucks and all I know sweet fuck all on bikes anyone know what the real rev limit is on that dam thing as it sounds quit low right now or is that it for a turbo bussa motor
