I absolutely cannot tell you how much I love the relationship between you and your dad. I've always wanted something like that. Just two really good hearted people! God Bless y'all and your family.
I had bicep reattachment, after a complete collapse, on a 3 day break. No pain meds, no extra days off. Never had a wrap that big. Wish you a great recovery.
Hey Jeff, you are in my prayers. I just ruptured my bicep a week ago and waiting myself for surgery to be scheduled. Your my go by to see what to expect. Keep us posted and Hannah keep him in line.

I had the same thing on my left arm too in 2019. Do the rehab and you'll be good to go. Took me 9 months but I'm as good as ever. Hope you healed great.
I wish you a speedy recovery Mr. Barron. I tore my bicep tendon 2 years ago. Fortunately, it is an injury that heals fast and is better than new when done. Be well. Great content, keep up the good work.
When you’re an active person, and have a surgery, it changes how we do things. I know it’s frustrating but anytime we push ourselves, we wind up doing more harm than good. Learned my lesson well. Hoping for a speedy recovery...👍🇺🇸
Godspeed Jeff !! I’ve been checking both channels to try to get an update and lucked across this just now !! Keep it clean so you don’t get an infection!! Great to see your getting better Jeff, and Kudos to Hannah for taking care of Dear old Dad! I was rough on myself growing up....multiple stitches, broken bones , several concussions, and some industrial accidents in my late teens, it all adds up! So take care, but don't stop living for the moment!!!
Been there myself. Distal tendon repair surgery nearly 3.5 yrs ago. (I wholeheartedly agree with the stubborn part)! But I did everything that the doctor and the physical therapist said to do. The strength will come back. Prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I'm thinking Jeff would win a hard headed contest up against a big horn ram! glad you are o.k. And looking forward to, if you listen to the doc, some bow videos!
I can just imagine the relief from just taking all those bandages and padding off! Good luck with the healing - take it slow. I imagine you’re just like my dad, though. You’ll be using that arm in no time at all!

Hay there Jeff, Just want to say that looks dang good considering how bad it could have been. I tore mine up 9 yrs ago at work. The so called Doctor who did mine screwed it all up. its been 9 yrs i have had one addition surgery and two more coming up because of it. lost 75% use of my right arm. Thank God for my son and daughter who became my right arm when this all happened. Your blessed to have Hannah there you need to let her help you so you can completely recover and go on to keep living the life you enjoy. God Bless you and your family and keep on keepin on.
Jeff, good luck to ya.. i know what your going thru completely .. you and hanna remind me of my Alicia and me peas & carrots ... good on ya... he'll well we appreciate you 2
Thank You for sharing. Your fish noodling video with the Rodeo fellow must have been pre-surgery cause I would have seen those wounds. I think you did good to put fresh dressings on it.
Jeff i've had a lot of torn tendons in my days, and i highly recommend looking into a supplement called L Glutamine. it's totally safe, and it's wonderful for muscle/bone/tendon regrowth. ask your dr's of course, but it's helped me TONS. i'd like to give back to you folks any way i can, even if it's just a random bit of info. you and your family have helped me a lot, believe it or not =) be well, -lloyd
Glad the surgery went well Jeff! Been wondering where you and Hannah have been. But, don’t try any catfish wrasslin’ ‘til those tendons heal and your range of motion returns to normal.👍
The blood in the pads is .. somewhat sanitary, because thats a function of blood out of the body. It clots up and builds a layer of protection. Also it has taken on some iodine from around the wounds from the operation. So its steril, you can leave it on there up to 2 weeks (if the outer layers are kept clean). But after 3 days it can take up some fresh air, wound is mostly closed at that point, just put no tension on the wound. Just watch out for necrosis on the stitches and bleeding.
@@austinpresley6187 Well, due to many operations i had in my life (nothing major, but many minor) thats what i took away from it, from doctors, nurses etc. But by no means, i am not a medical professional. Listen to them, preferably from someone close to you (family etc.).Thats how i treated my wounds with stitches. And one time i didn't and got necrosis (worst place: on my scalp). Still have a 2cm deep scar there. After 5 years.
Hey, Jeff: You be darn careful you don't get that infected, and keep it immobile so you don't stretch your stitches. I keep you in my prayers so you get healed up. You had a good nurse helping you!!!
Glad the surgery went well!! Follow ur DR's and Hannah's instructions!! Common sense supports redressing and keeping the area as dry as possible. That should speed healing and prevent infection.
Best of luck Jeff on your recovery....listen to your Physical Therapist! Destroyed both shoulders over the years while in the military, but it wasn't till I had a bad fall, and dislocated my bicep tendon that I had both shoulders taken care of....Rotator cup and labrum on both repaired (8 months between shoulders) and because of the surgery, my Physical Therapist, and joining the gym, I'm stronger now that I was 20 years ago.
Glas to see you got through the surgery ok, Jeff...and I understand South Alabama humidity and heat. Mobile was fun for a few years, but I don't miss the daily rain...lol
