Jeff, you're a testament to the importance of exercise and a motivation to get in shape. Who would've thought that a few months back, you broke your neck? You're still out there fishing and noodling like it never even happened. Amazing.
God is first in my life and I believe that even in the privacy of my home I need to serve him. My Name is SHIRLEY MORRISON I feel good seeing your profile, something just kept telling me to write you so i did..I hope you would respond coz i would
What a great catch 12 pounds on a 25.00 rod n reel from Walmart 😃 I just really enjoy watching all your content and admire your lifestyle living off the land as hunting and fishing enthusiasts. Also how exercising regularly, been active and healthy eating reflects on how great you both look. What a fantastic father figure, I didn't have that growing up. Thankyou Jeff and Hannah for sharing your lives it really helps with my depression and makes me smile, laugh and inspires me to manage my own life. So from me and on behalf of little tiny New Zealand we appreciate you both 🌿🏵️🦎🌺🦀🌊🐟🐾🍒
I look back a few months and you guys were in some sorry place. So happy to see you well, having fun in the sunshine. Appreciate ya!!!! Greets from Olde Blighty!
And then Dave cleaned, battered and cooked em up. Oh, that looks SO delicious. Great Video. Excellent Fabulous wish I was there. ( thanks for the instruction. Yum Yum)😊😊😊
I was literally looking for a recipe for (wiper) bass and you posted this video! I was gonna bake mine, but seeing yours on the grill changed my mind :) any day that starts with seeing Hanna's smile, well, you know it's gonna be a good day!
You..cannot...be serious !!! 😅😅 Those are beautiful fish...right there in that crick...Dave you are the greatest ! ( just not SCREAMING "YAAAAAH!!" after the 1st one ) but then you go and catch 2 more !!😊 fantastic!
Stripped bass in a creek...whodathunkit! My mouth was watering watchin y'all prepare and eat them slabs. I bet that mango chutney was the perfect accompaniment for those meaty fillets. Preciate y'all sharing this.
Yeah, when they run out of the lakes upstream to spawn in the spring I swear if you dunk yer head in the creek it sounds just like a bison herd stampede. Well almost!!!
That liked to kilt me! I wasn't hungry before I ran across this. Well, hurricane Debbie has just about passed through my area in North Carolina so it want do me no good to try and wet a hook for a good while arounf hear anyways but I am inspired! I've never had stripper. Years ago one of my old fishing pards hooked one at High Rock Lake during the fall crappie season. He had a crappie on when I pulled up in my boat. I saw one of his fishing rods sliding across the sand and jumped out of my boat and grabbed it. I caught a 12 pounder on a crappie set up and 6 pound line. Its the only one I've ever caught. I took him home amd he kept all the fish. I asked him the next Monday as we worked together if he ate them over the weekend and He said, "I dont eat no damn fish! Gave them to my Neighbors." That sorry sucker. I've ate my weight in catfish and crappie and about anything you can catch out of the ocean many times over but never a Stripper. Aint that something? I catch the fish and take that clown home and he gave my fish to someone else. Well DAGGONE! Now i'm hungry and I don't even know what I'm missing. DAGGONE!
I've caught just about every salt water species of fish on the east coast of the USA and Striped Bass aka Rock fish is my favorite. White mild tasting flaky fish, easy to clean, fantastic on the grill with the skin on. Glad to see that Hannah didn't like the fish, she loved the fish. Same for Jeff's mom. Paige, you've got a hit there.
Hey Jeff, there's way to much talent in you. Just kidding. Seems that no matter what you are doing, it turns out to be fantastic. Everytime you build anything it turns out awesome. Everytime you cook, it looks delicious. I would say if you ever had down time, write a country cookbook. The only problem with that would be, you never measure anything. It's always by eye. Anyway, love you, love your channel, love Hannah, Paige, and all your videos. Take care and be safe.
We would catch (saltwater stripers in Maine off the beach that were 40 to 50 LBS. (a few much bigger) Douglas Dodge holds the record for the largest striped bass caught in Maine, weighing 67 pounds, in the Sheepscot River.
I have done some stripe fishing here in Alabama on the warrior river. I know in the heat of the summer they run up in the creeks looking for cooler waters. Great fish to eat.
Just Barron now. You got some good eating I'm surprised you got that riding reel from Walmart for 25 bucks. We don't have none that cheap. We don't have any stripers either. I'm in Kansas. Well that I know of. I haven't fished for a long time. The last time I was fishing they were just thinking about braid line. Y'all have a good day and enjoy
Striper is tasty! We’ve got some BIG ones here in Lake Mead. Several years back I hooked a 19lb and a 17lb within about 25 minutes of each other! Yummy!!
I know you have blues and these monster catfish but the first striper I ever caught was 54” in Lineken Bay up here in Maine. Needed both hands to get the tail off the ground and damn the fight !!! Ruined me from any other fishing for at least 10 years !! Mackerel was gold here and they were dead frozen mackerel to boot ! Ate that first one but after that it was about that fight ! Take care care Jeff and Paige
Not to bust your bubble those are considered a hybrid Bass the lateral lines break up. Strippers are where they came from! Good fighting and not that gamey of the freshwater fish to eat!
I agree, he can make his own show about cooking and hunting and fishing do it on a more intimate location I mean, setting I think it’ll be a wonderful show,🇱🇷👍🏼
We used bucktails to catch Stripers in the Cooper river near Charleston S.C.in brackish water and they have hit just like that as fast as we could get them in the cooler and cast out it would be "fish on!".
That looks like my fillet knife when I was younger made in Finley there somewhere really good fillet knife. I gave it away a friend of mine's son when I went down to Tennessee with him and I never did get another one. I don't even think they make them anymore. I haven't seen any
