Make poncho as long as you'd like with any 4 weight yarn.
video shows how to make kids 6-10.
Remember you can adjust the neck size at the end by adding rows of HDC or Sc to your desired fit as video shows :)

Ch 52 with 25 dc between each point

Ch 72 with 35 dc between each point

I love post stitches. I’d make it king ( I’m 5’ 9”!!) with more trim at bottom and possibly at neck. I love that reverse single crochet stitch, also! It’s a great border stitch. A good tip on how to handle the hook!
I never made a poncho. I like ghis one, you have a V Stitch one that is nice, and I like granny ones too. I think this year I’ll mage at least one for myself n one as a gift for birthday or Christmas… thanks! ❤️

I love this poncho. The concept works so well for a person in a wheelchair. I was wondering if this could be worked all in a DC. The stitch is beautiful but at 80 years I pretty stay with a sc, hdc and/or a dc. I know it won't be as lovely as yours but it will be warm and I have some beautiful red heart ombre just calling out for it 😊. Thank you so much for you marvelous tutorials. ❤️🧶😊

I had looked and looked for a poncho that wasn't as pointed and didn't have such long points. I gave up looking and then you came out with this video. I just bought some new yarn, and when I finish my 2 WIPs, I'll start on this poncho. I also appreciate that the poncho is not the granny stitch.
