- Well, Dragon's Dogma 2 has been announced, but I never played the first one. Here we will be fixing that as I have been told it is one of the best RPGs ever made. I will be plaything through the Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen version and doing as much content as I can. As I don't know too much about the game I am sure there will be a big learning curve. At least for me 😂. Hope you enjoy!
Set in a huge open world, Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen presents a rewarding action combat experience. Players embark on an epic adventure in a rich, living world with three AI companions, known as Pawns. These partners fight independently, demonstrating the prowess and ability that they have developed based on traits learned from each player. PC users can share these Pawns online and reap rewards of treasure, tips, and strategy hints for taking down terrifying enemies. Pawns can also be borrowed when specific skills are needed to complete various challenging quests.

Oh so that’s what happened to them. Like I swore I went into my storage and gave my pawns like a couple hundred of them, go into a boss battle and they were empty. Like what they do drop them?
i only ever give them healing spring bottles, and now i don't ever need a mage to heal
I never have my pawns used all the arrows though
Fun fact: the only element daimon is weak to is blast arrows.
I usually magic archer against him easy dubbed with that😊

Imagine in Dragon's Dogma 2, they implement a mount mechanics and adding classes that tied to it. One of them could be a horse archer class. We can play as a busted super OP fantasy turco-mongol explosive arrow hoarding maniac
The dev said the map will be 4 times bigger, yeah i hope they add mount for exploring.
Oh yeah whats with the horses in dragons dogma though? Since traveling on foot in DD is crucial and unlocking ferrystone cost money, why they didn't implement horses on DD?
Is it one of the assets removed on the final game? I heard the "60%" of the game are removed and the 40% are the final of the game.

Ah yes, THE strat for cheesing Death. Definitely used a lot of Blast Arrows + Periapts + Tenfold to get the materials to max out the end game gear.
Don't forget the arcane scatter-fuck class.

Recently got hooked on the game so here we are lol
As someone who absolutely loved the the ranged classes and abilities I never used anything beyond base arrows (not counting magic archer) because I'm a hoarder who will die before using consumables
I had to look up how damage is dealt in regards to bows and I like how it's linked to strength, I wish a lot of the other RPG's did this and not tie them to dexterity.
Well this game doesn't have dexterity.

These things are absolutely busted and can pretty much obliterate any enemy in the game. They are pretty expensive though. And you can go through them with surprising speed unless you're extra conservative with them.
i suggest you get the ring of thrift
or if you're playing the dlc with items
sell the rings and buy 999 stacks of blast arrows

I remember using blast arrows to kill grigori before even getting to the actual arena, it was in the little part where he’s in that hallway breathing fire

Yep. Death was the last character I had to kill because I was trying to kill him without using periapts or blast arrows. Well, his health would eventually restart, even though the pawns kept saying I couldn't kill him in one go. So, when he popped back up, full health, I used 4 conqueror's periapts, equipped blast arrows, and with 5-fold flurry as an assassin, I killed him in a few attacks with a gold dragonforged darkened storm bow equipped.
I've lost count of how'd many times I played this and didn't even know this item existed
I like the cheese in dragons dogma:
Making death fall to his death at lvl 1 by throwing an explosive bag at him
Taking advantage of hard mode giving tons of gold
Mystic Knights turret cannon
Mystic Archer auto aim
Assassin and dagger classes in general
A lot less practical but accessable to all classes are the coinpurses of charity. The highest level version cost something like 10k per item but they are a generic throwing weapon that can one shot most basic late game enemies
Kay, all warrior pawns, with full inventories of blast arrows, using ranger, I'd usually have like 2-3 hundred. Also, Magik archer is the truest cheat code for dragons dogma. MA can kill literally everything with little problem, just gotta get a powerful weapon, or level up your daggers a shit ton.
Idk man,I'm suck at MA,maybe becouse I'm just at low level 80 atm.
I always see pawns as movable bags
Assassin has a really fun combo.
Force hatchet is a sword that doubles your physical attack power.
Charge it up by landing 10 hits, and now your blast arrows deal double damage.
It’s a bit of a gimmick, but it’s fun.
Will be trying it out.
And don't forget periaps. It's the reason I fell in love with fornaval in game and in real life😂
Literally the most op things in this game, capable of melting the end bosses within minutes. Very good to say the least
I finally beat Death with these arrows after about 10 years of never fighting him because he cheats with that damn lantern
I got one hit killed as soon as I saw him the first time... was a surprise for sure lol
Becouse of the hype from DD2 is releasing soon,I reinstalled the game,still at level 80😅 and just beat the normal daimon, tried the 2nd form my party wipe when he used the vortex and he at 2 hp bar left... and don't know should I end the story or not,I mean giving the 20 wakestones. Coz it give infinite money selling them 😅
I would have said Warrior class is the cheat code to beating this game especially when some of the charge attacks One-Shot endgame monsters...
Grigori losing one-and-a-half healthbars to an attack that wasn't hitting a weak point was a bit absurd.
Still need to try that vocation.

Same exact thing happens with any yellow class just without 10s cast time when using same quality gear...Grigori is not endgame boss. It's more or less cinematic fight.

This is the equivalent to the Skyrim stealth Archer, but not so stealthy.

My healer pawn is the biggest body size and cuz their arent many healer perks i have him set up for weight carry. This makes him capable of easily carrying like 300 arrows.
If you give blast arrows to a pawn he will use them infinitely. For example one day i was facing a dragon than a pawn that was strider used the bow with blast arrow and took away 4 health bars of the boss in two shots of arrows.
Best way to get death's loot instead of throwing it off the edge and get nothing
I hope we will see some other ranged weapons, like throwing axes crossbows, or even javelins
Blast Arrows scale with your Strength. 190 levels of Assassin + Conqueror's Periapts makes for a nasty combo.
The only class with the bow that can’t use blast arrows is Magic Archer.
Blast arrows on death? Gonna have to give that a try. I primarily play the magic knight. And a sorcerer rn to dragon forge sorcerer armor for my pawn, so I’ll have to level up my archer class, unless this works on magic archer, in which, I’m good to go, cause that was the first class I beat the game with.
Magic archer can work, but you have to upgrade the damage with periapts. Blast arrows on ranger is much more efficient as far as I can tell.
Combo it with… idk 5 conqueror’s periapt and you got yourself a weapon that can make even awakened Daimon a walk in the park

The more I watch from this game the more I'm convinced it's a Monster Hunter game with some role playing
Yea if u ever play since its made by the same company you will notice alot of mives that look like monsters hunter moves

While me playing as a Sorcerer go training on the dlc island taking bad time, griding level, farm gear and struggling with daimon
But when training is over i got overpower back to main island ( note that i didn't even face the dragon yet in the main story so 🤣🤣)
There is a OP spell mod, it just change effect but trust me the get OP

I rely on them heavily, but only in bitterblack isle where everything has an entirely unreasonable amount of health and defense. I don't have all day after all. And when it comes to death, he deserves to get cheesed for being so cheesy that he has a sleep and insta kill AOE. That's just payback. Plus he drops that good stuff
Can you combine them with the spiral/corkscrew arrow ability? I like to think up some pretty broken shit
Yes, but unfortunately the blast arrow explodes on initial impact. So it doesn't continue to blow up like it seems like it would.
@@SheenShots awww, so would the arrow continue to drill through the target after the initial boom, or does it just disappear after exploding?
Ranger is OP, but magic archer has my heart
damn, i just played dragon dogma at the mission when i must investigate the basement of pawn legion guild, there's a monster that i just hit as much as i can but it hp don't deplete even just a little, guess i did something wrong 😂
Nah don't worry lol. You just aren't able to do damage to that enemy due to low level. I had the same issue.

The combat in this game is a better version of the old school lord of the ring games.
What is your build for when u took on death I barely did dmg to him when I fought it
The only way I have been able to tough death at all is with blast arrows. You just use your best bow, 4 strength periapts, and blast arrows. It still doesn't kill him quickly, but it does stun and deal two of his health bars each time he shows up. Since he never regains health you should eventually get him down if you see him enough. Really tough regardless.
One way to kill death is be a magic archer. Stack magic boost 4 times and hope he is in a tight space. Then you let rip ricochet arrows. Enjoy the other decent alternative.
Also if death doesn't see you, he won't teleport away.

Enemies are freaking tough at the start. Use throwblast. It is a life saver.

I don't blame you, you can get overweight quite quickly.

Fun fact. A sneak attack with blast arrows will fuck up anything “floating” or flying. I use them to take out the starting griffin and for succubi/ gargoyles late game
Who struggles with huge magic shield
I just play mystic night and overload everything with AOE
I pretty much banned them for my play throughs they are way to op.

@@SheenShots yeah you can even cheese death with it at your second encounter by the bridge when he spanwns..1-2 salves from the 7 or 11 Arrow barrage and He falls to death...

Yes you can, but it doesn't make the fight go by in seconds. He is still a pretty beefy boss regardless of what you do. Probably a pretty good strat though.
