Thanks for a great roadtest mate !...I reckon you've done one of the best roadtests I have seen !.. My lovely other half hails from Wolverhampton she's glad to hear someone speaking her lingo ....as we live in Notts .....bit rough up here mate !.lol
Good review, thanks for sharing. Looks to be very good, well priced motorcycle. Provided the finish holds up well, it should hold its own ad a good bike for Suzuki. And it ticks the right boxes. Good looks, wind protection, enough power and ample torque with very good road dynamics…..what’s not to like?
Nice review Lofty. Great looking bike, I will definitely test ride. Love the torque, the 8S is very quick from 5500 to 8500 rpm. The 8S soft bags and tank bag will fit. Givi makes a rack for a top box, which is what use on the 8S. Might look odd but has very high utility for commuting and running around town. Also small trips of course. Did you think the suspension was harder than the 8S on poor B roads?? I see you did not really push hard witht he wet roads etc.
Hepco Becker do a rack, and a luggage plate that replaces the rear seat...enough other parts to make a single person tourer,USB,GPS bracket, screen, and no doubt McCruise will have C/C for the 4 x current models using the 800cc motor? Given speed limits/cameras all over Western Europe, as much as you need!
Like the looks. I have ridden one. It’s great fun in the lower revs, good torque. But runs out of steam after 80 mph. 1/4 mile 14.8 sec. 😂 Suzuki GSX-8S 0-60 and acceleration in miles per hour 0-10 mph 0.3 s 0-20 mph 0.5 s 0-30 mph 0.8 s 0-40 mph 1.3 s 0-50 mph 2.1 s 0-60 mph 3.4 s 0-70 mph 5.9 s 0-80 mph 10.2 s 0-90 mph 15.5 s 0-100 mph 21.2 s 0-110 mph 26.4 s 0-120 mph 30.4 s
I disagree it's not a sportsbike you suggested. It's just that people have been subjected to Supersports a bit too much, those are not sportsbikes, they are race bikes made road legal, barely. This what a true sportsbike should be like imo and it's going to sell like crazy because it's exactly what the bike world had been expecting. They've sort of capped the HP, they didn't need to chase after the Hornets or the KTMs, there's only so much power you need on a sportsbike, especially when you have absolute bags of torque to go with, which make it useable under literally all conditions. The competition can go and copy it and add 10-20HP and I won't care, once I reach 80-85mph on a short straight in the twisties I'm going to hold the throttle anyway, that's a s fast as I want to be going.
Well I love it....I do think I called it a sports tourer.....a very good one too probably the best engine of the year and a stunning looking bike......thanks for watching
SuperTwins lapping the I.o.M 3mph faster than Hislop,Foggy,Joey and Co on their 'works' 750's,these are sports bikes, just over engineered for reliability...a flash, pipe and filter, 84bhp at the rear wheel, that's CBR600F power,95 at the crank!
@@theloftybiker309012litres or 14? I like them both, but Kat owners won't give their bikes away, especially when new 8R's can be had for only £7500 new(pre-reg)...8R makes more sense, especially on our Scottish roads!
I've been riding 54 years and have never needed a cruise control or music on a trip!
This bike is a great package. Definitely best looking bike I have seen in a while. Very attractive
Get a test ride....thanks for watching

Only one negative. Why aren't Suzuki UK bringing the yellow colour scheme here?!
"Pearl ignite yellow" yes it looks ace, International colour only Suzuki UK not imporing it....thanks for watching

Typical sports tourer affair....over the yokes, split bars.....thanks for watchibg
When I saw you on that bike, it looked like what Lurch would look like on a small bike. No offense but it does look a little funny.😂

Did you ride the vstrom 800 re yet? I wonder how this would compare. About the same you think?

This or Katana?
I couldn't comment on your taste.....my opinion is the Katana is a poor seller new....impossible to give away second hand....thanks for watching
