A small video production tip, Kate. If you say a word, for instance “start” every time you start the camera you will suppress the amplification noise peak at the beginning of each shot. The Camara always starts on a high audio recording level and waits for your voice to reset it’s recording level to one for the best signal to (background) noise ratio. One could say it this way: When designing the camera they where so afraid to start at a too low audio level that they overdid it. With a bit of trail and error you will learn to say the “magic word” just loud enough when you are near the camera to get the best results once you stand behind the bike. While editing you can then cut that extra word out. It will make your edits sound much smoother. 😘

It is handy seeing you sit on bikes, same leg length as me, so helps see how manageable they might or might not be for me.

Kate, I've been watching your videos for a few months now and have come to the conclusion, you do a wonderful job and are now one of my favorites! Lots of usable information, and fun to watch. My first moto was a 1992 CBR600 F2, and I keep hearing that this is more like those sport bikes of years past, sporty but still comfy. I love the look of this bike, and finally got to sit on one the other day, shocked how comfy. This bike is the first actual threat to my beloved 900RS... a sort of return to that first sportbike. Cheers!

I think this bike will be a direct hit for Suzuki. It’s a relatively cheap, good to look at (once you drop that tail tidy/launch platform thing), enough electronics, probably easy to handle and fun to ride machine… Suzuki did well 👍

Thanks Kate. Love the colour and looks of the bike. If we had better roads and more sensible drivers in Turkey, and I was 10-15 years younger than 55, I'd definately get this bike.

Always time to listen up when UNK has a Suzuki or Triumph anywhere near her! It's sometimes difficult to believe that she is a Beemer girl when you hear her talking about the best bikes ever to come out of Japan. I once read somewhere that, Suzuki is the most valuable Moto Brand name, worldwide.
Another excellent video, Thanks. It never ceases to amaze me, the amount of enthusiasm, liveliness and fun you portray when around Bikes..., even if it's "only" a 400 Single as was recently the case in Valencia.
PS. Life is not all Roses and Silk, that's why I keep trying to find negatives about you and your video offerings, but this seems to be a Mission Impossible!

While I don't like the look of the tail section, I wouldn't change it. I think it would make the people behind you stay a bit farther away which would be a good thing for safety. Besides, if i'm going to pay $10,000 for a bike, plus another couple of thousand to get it out the door, I don't want to spend even more since I don't have a pile of cash just waiting to be spent.

Dear Suzuki, can you please make a 300-400cc variant of this bike? There is a gap between your 125cc section through to your SV-650. Some of us don't want a 125 or as large as a 650-750 bike. Come on Suzuki, make it, money stands by.

My first 'big bike' was a Kawasaki ZZR600 D1... It was a great 'Comfy sportsbike' i.e. lots of high revs torque and power, but also great comfort for long distance rides.
Is this the same kinda intermediate split between the GPZ and the ZXR?
I think Suzuki have big Plans...

How do you rate this model vs 800RE. I know the style , chassis etc is different but the engine is the same. Please advise comfort , who will it appeal to. Is it fun n comfy to ride on twisties and back roads. I’m not a track rider. All my riding is on roads. I’m based in NZ. And what about pillion. I see no scope inn8R. Also on the seat height please. I think there is a low seat in 800Re for 805 mm. I think the bhp n torque would be same. Please can you give your valued opinion. Many thanks. I currently ride MT09 of 2016 model n need a change. Thank you. The price for 800RE is also higher. Does it have more features compared to 8R.
And finally what would you prefer if you were using for work commuting n also leisure riding.

They really aren't comparable. The gsxr is a track-focused race bike with lights that has nearly doubled the power of the GSX8R. This is a sporty road bike that will be okay with the occasional track day. The GSX8R is a better bike for almost everybody.

It’s clipping all over the place and sounds incredibly tinny, with far too much gain. Just search on RUclips how to do it, if money isn’t the problem then experience is.
