As always, super great video and current with the industry! I have been a customer of KC for over 18 years, she is the rare combination of knowledge, honesty, commitment and service to her valued customers!
Mr Truck you have done it again👍you have found another great SEMA stand. Interesting n informing, Just like tractor engines like MAN engine in Fendt is set up different compare to truck motor is same with transmission. Sometimes reliability goes out window for better shifting top end highway setup with new transmissions.
Why would I swap my 6R140 for a P1000 or P2400 Allison? The 6R140 is a better transmission in my opinion. The Allison P1000 and P2400 is what they call in the industry a commercial light duty automatic. These light duty transmissions are used in applications below 26000 GVW. These transactions use the GM torque converter. Much lighter. The Allison 3000, 4000 and B400 transmissions are heavy duty automatics that are used in vehicles above 26000 lbs GVW. These are the real Allison transmissions.
If it’s not inline it’s junk!!! Semis or commercial uses learned this years ago!!! Ford or Chevy diesels are junk period !!! They won’t hold up in commercial applications over rated garbage
I agree, the company international harvester now navistar (who created the 7.3) was even created in 1902 17 years before the company cummins in 1919 was even created!! That means International has been the industrial motor used for 17 years before cummins was even a thing!!
@@MrTruckTV I own 3 diesel trucks 7.3 6.0 and my new 6.6 I watch this stuff all the time I scrolled down a long ways this time and saw an Allison behind a 7.3 and thought god had answered my prayers
Not sure, but the 10-speed is made by GM as a Allison branded tranny. Allison for heavy duties is still building 6-speeds. I've driving 2020 Freightliner M2 with 9.L Cummins and a 3200 Allison 6-speed
Sorry, SEMA is hard for audio. I get new mics every year and only helps a little. Next year will do all corded mics. RF signals are restricted at SEMA so wireless is restricted
I'd put my 💰 down on the Allison over the Aisin any day. There's just more of them out there being used in everything from light duty trucks to tanks to those giant bohemoth mining dump trucks. Obviously not all 1000's, I mean Allison goes up to I think 7000 or 8000 series, but the design is the same in all of them. Just different sizes and gear ratios. The Aisin is still a great transmission though.
uhh, a lot of people with the Aisin have reported issues around 550hp. Also tuning of the transmission isn't possible as of this date that I'm aware of.
The Aisin is just as good; do research and you will find Aisin started Allison transmissions...then they split. Aisin is every bit as good so don't need to run out to get an Allison if you buy a new Ram; just make sure to order the Aisin.
Devo Dar Allison began in 1915, Aisin was established in 1965. The two had joint venture business in Japan 1997-2007. Aisin certainly did not start Allison as you mentioned, do your research.
I like both ram & gm trucks. Being a part time tow truck driver..NOPE, rams aisin cant keep up with the cummins engine gm is gold with the allison. Cummins+allison would be best combo!
Aisin automatic transmissions are manufactured by Aisin Seiki and Aisin AW, formerly known as Aisin-Warner, and which was established in 1969 as a joint venture between Aisin Seiki and BorgWarner. ... Aisin, as one of the major Toyota group suppliers, shares many designs and development activities with Toyota
That lady know her stuff. Thanks for interviewing her!
You're welcome
She really knew her shit. Great spokesperson. 🙂 Keep them coming Mr. Truck.
I think you should revisit this company and do another video it seems like there's a lot more interest to buy older trucks in modernism
We are planning on it next SEMA, hopefully November
Great video Mr. T, she really knows her stuff
Thanks
Thank you for your content Mr. Truck, you do a great service for Towing safety!
You're welcome, it seemed like an important interview

Wow wow this woman really knows her stuff!!
I have never met a woman that doesn't know everything LoL
Mr Truck needs a fkn Mr microphone! If you want to do interviews in a loud convention center you MUST use an upclose mic!
Got one, now we do audio and video separately
@@MrTruckTV Get the RODE WIRELESS GO-2, comes with 2 wireless mic, only $300, best thing you can get.
Thank you for this episode once I get my equipment and go back to hauling I will definitely look her up appreciate the work that you do

Excellent video, fantastic content; Thank you Mr. Truck!
You're welcome
When is someone going to make an Allison swap kit for all the Ram guys with 5.7 and 6.4 Hemi v8s who are SICK of repeat 66rfe failures?
I'm sure they can put a conversion together for you

great video, especially if the audio was better
Thanks
over 10k to get a Allision to work , any thing out there for us guys that are not rich ?
There are several options out there, feel free to give us a shout.
A 7.3 power stroke is also an industrial engine it is my favorite power I like all but love the 7.3

BIGDAVE5352 lol she literally said in the video you can’t use the gm torque converter or you’ll break your shit.
James Rowland lmao
Hey camera guy the torq converter is to the left.
This coast only 16k$,😉😉😍
Depending on your truck, HP and tow requirements the price can be less than that.
Any trany for 7.3 miss Karen KC whit more gears to save mpg whitout losing power? Thanks for video Mr truck TV

7.3 was industrial far before it was in a pickup lol

Mr Truck did she quote any prices for the conversions
No, you'll to go to their website to get prices or call them
Around 6000
Cody Yellott wonder if that’s with the trans and everything? Or just the kit?
Why haven’t I heard of this sooner

I call BS! That Aisin transmission is every bit as strong or even stronger than the Allison. Nobody is having any issues with the Aisin.
