    When vortex says 18 in lbs for their scopes, and you say 25 in lbs what should I go by?

    Interested in the RAMP but can I remove the left pic rail if I’m only using the right one?

    Will this mount work on a M&P Sport 2 AR with a 1-6 power scope without removing the stock rear flip-up sight?

      Larry, a few questions, what is height of the sight (folded above the rail), what is the diameter of the rear "ocular" end of the scope and what tube diameter? with that info I can give you a pretty good idea. please use calipers for the most accurate answer. Thx

    • @larryconnelly7728
      @larryconnelly7728 5 лет назад

      The height of the sight folded is 9/16's of an inch. I don't have a particular scope picked out yet but was thinking something in the range of a 1-4x? or a 1.5-4 or 4.5x? or possibly a 2-7x32. The tube diameter will most likely be 1". Maybe you would have some suggestions as I don't hunt and would be using the rifle for target shooting at distances of 25 to 100, possibly 200 yards.
      Any help you can offer me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

      @@larryconnelly7728 Alright Larry, if the sight sits 9/16" off the rail (.5625") and our mount will put the center of your optic 1.43" above the rail, that would leave .860 radius of clearance or 1.72" diameter for the rear (ocular) end of the scope and just touch. So anything smaller in diameter would be "MOST likely" ok.
      Here are some fits; VXR 1.25-4 is 1.63 at rear, VX Freedom 2-7 is 1.56 at rear, Vortex Diamondback 2-7 is 1.69 at rear, Strike eagle 1-6 is 1.71 (iffy to fit).
      Here are some non-fits, Razor HD 1-6 is 1.81 at rear, Leupold XV-5 HD 1-5 is 1.8 at rear.
      I would shop for scopes that have less than 1.7" diameter dimension at the rear and PLEASE keep in mind close dimms may touch, these are just rough numbers...
      Another thought would be to run your back-up sights at a 45 angle and then you'd have all the clearance in the world. Randy

    Why you guys put the crossbolt nuts in the side of the ejection?

    • @WarneUSA
      @WarneUSA  5 лет назад +6

      We find that most shooters are right handed and when slinging a rifle, it keeps the hardware from rubbing and snagging on clothing or gear.

    I am interested in using the Warne Gen 2 Extended 1-Piece Cantilever Scope Mount Blue 1 inch XSKEL1BU to mount a 1" tube scope on an AR15. How much rail do I need (in inches) to attach the mount?

    • @WarneUSA
      @WarneUSA  5 лет назад

      Gary, You need approx 2 5/8 inches, 6 slots to mount the XSKEL on a rail.

    Can this be used on a bolt action?

    • @WarneUSA
      @WarneUSA  3 года назад +1

      If your bolt action has a rail you could mount it, however you'd most likely never get a decent cheekweld, it would be significantly too high.

      @@WarneUSA thank you, are these considered high rings? Like will it put the center line of my optic 1.5 inches above the bore line?

      @@haneshuntspnw7283 These would actually be considered Ultra High or MSR height and will put the center of your optic 1.45" above the top of the pic rail or around 2.4" above bore (varies by firearm)
