Just had 2 fittings with Srixon over the last 2 Thursday at Brookdale Golf Club. Went there with an open mind and WOW what a set of clubs, driver, 5 wood, driving iron and the z585 irons ordered. The 5 wood is my new 3 wood with impressive feel and numbers. Joe the Srixon fitter was honest and helped me no end to get the correct clubs for 2019. Titleist AP1 (718) are up for sale!!! That is how I fell in love with them too! I hit everything, and then a set of demo clubs at the course I played on vacation made my decision for me. When I got home, I walked into the PGA store near me and bought them.
Just got new 785’s about a month ago. Haven’t got to play much with them as winter is almost here, but I am loving them. As you said about the 585’s they look great, feel wonderful, and are forgiving. Can’t wait to get full season with them next year.

Great review Andy. I just traded my 765 irons for a combo set of 585 & 785 irons with Nippon Modus 105 shafts. To blend the set I had the 585 4-7 iron lofts bent to match the 785 lofts. First game is this weekend. Cheers 👍🇦🇺
Twstdx Great. They are brilliant. The 585 is smaller than the previous model. Had a lot of compliments from my playing partners about how well these look. As for the feel they are soft as. I’m very happy. 👍😀🏌🏿♂️🇦🇺

A couple of questions Andy regarding the sole bounce on the Srixons. How does the high bounce on the Srixons impact on swing style, digger versus sweeper? Will it work better for a digger or sweeper? Regards Bob

@@garywhiteman8837 I ended up getting the JPX 919 HM's w/Project X 5.5 rifle shafts. Got e'm a little over a year ago. Probably could of went w/the forged, but I'm 63 going on 64 this month. So I got them for the forgiveness in the long hall. They seem to perform very good for me so far. Have had them tweeked a little, but like e'm.👍🏌️♂️

Super review Andy, I am booked in for a ping i500 fitting at my home club this Friday morning and then a Mizuno 919 fitting at a centre 155km away in the afternoon. How do the Arizona compare to the i500 and 919 forged? I would have to drive 210km to a centre with srixon clubs, should I consider the srixons? Regards Bob
Thats a tough question Bob, they are more like the 919's in feel and profile, whether or not they are better is a tough call, personally I prefer the 585's

The Average Golfer Hi Andy, fitting went well on Sunday. Top three to decide from were, 919 Tour, Srixon 785 and 919 Forged. Heart said either the 919 Tour or Srixon 785, both felt beautiful and soft(919 slightly more so). I was surprised how far the 919 tour flew once shaft fitted( DG105 S300, my swing speed around 80 to 82mph), ave carry around 144m with max of 148m. Brain selected the 919Forged for overall consistency( not all shots out of the centre), especially on toe and thin mis hits. Thanks for all your fantastic reviews. Cannot wait until the new clubs arrive in about 8 to 10 days. FYI I found the Srixon 585s very clunky and a lot louder than the 919Hot Metals. Cheers Bob
Andy great review as always, tried the predecessor of this iron and loved it. Would love to have a forged iron if forgiving as a 23 handicapper is it worth me trying? I do get plenty of launch with my irons and managed to hit TM 790 quite well!
The irons look great, not so sure about the low spin, wonder how low the spin would be out of the rough as an average golfer myself I spend a lot of time in the rough. Great review though Andy, always nice to have as many opinions as possible on a product as it isn't cheap to buy new gear.

The 765's I think are a stunning looking club at a great price point but again custom fitting venues are very thin on the ground
