Also, the Formula 1 car this car’s drivetrain is based upon has one combustion motor, one hybrid, motor, and one electric motor. The AMG One has all of that but with 4 electric motors. One at each wheel. That seems to be missing or incorrect in this video. Fantastic video all the same!

So mercedes finally released the long-awaited Project One, and as wildly impressive as it seems to small-minded people, it's somewhat underwhelming for a hypercar by Today's standards -- especially when you consider the multitude of tweaking it underwent over a span of half a decade... But let's take a look at the stats; It does 0-100 (km/h) in 2.9 seconds - which is the same as the M5 CS, a family sedan that has 414 hp less, and is 130 kg heavier than the Amg hypercar. *signs of inferior engineering. 0-200 (km/h) takes 7 seconds. The Bugatti Chiron only needs 6.1 seconds to do the same, and it's 300 kg heavier and 6 years older than the highly acclaimed mercedes. It has a top speed of 352 km/h, which is 39 kms slower than the McLaren F1, that was released in 1993 - and has 321 kW less power than the merc. I saw one of these driving near where I live the other week. Looks amazing.
Its a really stunning car, only disappointment is the weight as its really heavy.
Performance figures are low as well. I was really hyped for this car but thats kind of disappointing.
@@MegaFregel pretty sure that the actual performance would be in the speed it takes corners, but there are ultimately huge compromises in sticking an F1 powerplant inside a road-legal chassis. Remember the Ferrari F50?

this is literally the most uninspiring car of our era. Technology at the cost of everything that makes supercars fun
No v8? Boohoo go sniff some fumes.
I just wished the sound matched the look and it would have been like the ultimate poster car for me.
4:33 I had a fully ‘stressed member’ when I saw the completed car finally. Inside looks amazing, looks daily-able. Wish I had those funds and connection to get one. But hopefully putting it out there and then putting in the work could manifest one for me in my future, hopefully 😂

@@huricanethreeonesix Awww, thank you brother. That’s real nice of you. Hope you find your fulfilment and success.
The design of this new Benz-AMG ONE looks absolutely stunning! The performance of this insane car is absolutely insane! I love this Benz-AMG ONE as so much as Mat does!

This is by far the coolest car ive ever seen.
so at this point having F1 engine was just a prestige problem.
I think they will had to limit the RPM on the One otherwise the engine would have to be rebuilt too often, which doesn't make sense for someone other than an F1 team
wait until you see the 5000hp chaos 🤣🤣🤣
The rear is just amazing.
It looks amazing but it's actually a bit disappointing especially considering its weight.
A much cheaper SF90 is actually faster and lighter. Yes it's a 'F1' 1.6 but why is it so heavy?
It’s a joke really they could have put in the A45 engine with two added cylinders in there get more horses to carry the weight.
ikr i think it's underwhelming
All that electric crap, batteries make cars way too heavy. Best is pure ICE like the T50. Just one ton. Perfect.

I wanna see this on the nurburgring. surely it will break records
Not with 1060hp and weighing 1700kgs. It only has a power to weight of 590hp/ton. A 765LT manages that in the real world.
@@stubones That's significantly more than the current production car record holder at the Nürburgring!!
Also correct your figures 1060hp/1.7ton = 624hp/ton
@@stubones well the 765lt is slower than a 720s on bilsterberg und hockenheim. More power and less weight is not always the key. This machine is absolutely insane! If this doesn’t obliterate the ring lap record, i’ll be astonished
i wouldn't be so sure. if they had beaten the time of the gtr black series, they would have posted the time already... it is significantly heavy and has about the same acceleration as a mclaren 720s, even though they have 300hp more and a hybrid system. it's a disappointment in my book (for now)

This is not made for max speed, min drag, guys ...
This car took forever from preproduction and now it's in production
Also, the Formula 1 car this car’s drivetrain is based upon has one combustion motor, one hybrid, motor, and one electric motor. The AMG One has all of that but with 4 electric motors. One at each wheel.
That seems to be missing or incorrect in this video.
Fantastic video all the same!
Shame that it's so insanely heavy, weighs 600kg more than I'd expected

2 million pounds for a car with 2.9 sec 0-100 km/h

Yeah it’s really a slow car for the price of it tbh but there’s something that few including me can put my finger on that caused it to have sold out but I think a lot of buyers probably think I don’t plan on talking this car beyond the average highest speeding limit on a street, I’m scared to go beyond what it can go or around what it can go, this is a particular type of car I want, I want this car as a bragging right, or it seems like a great investment.
With that logic, a Rolls-Royce Boat Tail is a 20+ million pound car that goes 0-60 in 5 seconds. What a bunch of morons right???

This vehicle is astonishingly beautiful, well done Mercedes.
If I’m correct, Lewis Hamilton bought 2. One for him and one for his father.
So mercedes finally released the long-awaited Project One, and as wildly impressive as it seems to small-minded people, it's somewhat underwhelming for a hypercar by Today's standards -- especially when you consider the multitude of tweaking it underwent over a span of half a decade... But let's take a look at the stats;
It does 0-100 (km/h) in 2.9 seconds - which is the same as the M5 CS, a family sedan that has 414 hp less, and is 130 kg heavier than the Amg hypercar.
So we've waited so long for this mediocre answer to the likes of the La Ferrari and McLaren P1 that's much older than this Lamborghini copycat...Goodbye.🚮🚶♂️🛀
It’s a TRACK car, f1 cars aren’t aiming for top speed, they are aiming for the best track performance. Acceleration, top speed and horsepower aren’t the sole things that make a car good. It’s the quality overall and what it’s aiming for. You can’t compare a car built for top speed (Chiron) and a car built for the track (AMG ONE).
