- Time for another winery tour in Northern California! In this episode of my Journey Across The West I head to Livermore, CA. This is where wine truly began in Northern California! Some of California's oldest standing, family own wineries still live here, including the famous Conacnnon Winery. The Iconic house is a can't miss. The wine made there itself is beyond the competition.
Hidden amongst the greats though are amazing hidden gems. For example, if you are a Cabernet Sauvignon fan then, McGrail Vineyards is for you, Considered a Cab House, Come with me as I feast on a variety of Cabernets!! Also if you are in need of both a great glass of wine and some delicious wood fired pizza then, Garre Winery is for you!

Oh that is beautiful, Livermore has the best weather and gorgeous winery's.
You got that right
The information you share about the places you travel is great! Thanks for all the research you do to make meaningful travel videos.
I appreciate the support very much. Thank you
Its a delicious pizza and beautiful scenery of the place and wide wineries plantation thanks for sharing
Anytime thanks for watching
The red wines look great. The cabs and merlots of the first winery looks great. Plus Garre winery pizza looks absolutely delicious. Concannon Winery looks very nice too. Seems like a great day out.
It was, I may have been a bit tipsy by the end though 😂. Thanks to my DD
What a fantastic day's itinerary ! 🍷🍷 We've added a big thumbs up to this clip and a sub for your channel.
Appreciate y'all! Welcome
Exciting winery exploration in Northern California! Great content, thanks for sharing !
Glad you enjoyed it
You had me at winery! But 3 you can most definitely count me in! These all seemed like very lovely wines and some great company. Great video, my friend! Can't wait to see where your next adventures take you!
Thanks Em
It’s pretty cool how you go to all these places to test out the wine, makes me want to explore wineries
Do it, just make sure you have a DD 😆
Guess I will have to look for that wine, and of course a box of See's chocolates.
Oh save me some when you do
The history is so cool I never knew that’s exactly where wind started in California. And that pizza looks amazing. I think I definitely like Concannon the best. I have a little bit of Irish in me too, and I love that house that can be rented out. Great video!
Thanks Christy, it's an amazing area and so far removed from Napa. Less crowds and the wine is just as good.
Chocolate and Cab... sounds like perfection to me. Made me laugh how your dad was critiquing your tasting note delivery. I need some pizza now - your videos should not be watched on an empty stomach! The estate house kind of reminds me of the house from Psycho - but in a much more beautiful setting!
Yeah that's my pops for ya. Always gotta tease me. Keeps my ego in check apparently lol.
Enjoying all that good wine without me lol you really a great presenter and such details in the vids keep it up
You are more than welcome to join me next time 😁
Nice fact to know! Lovely place!
I'm from SoCal.
Where in SoCal?
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon Los Angeles
@@DMJ_vlogs cool I grew up in the Oxnard region. Lived all over LA for a few years when I tried my hand at the acting scene.
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon oh wow lucky, my younger self couldn't do that. Was too introverted to go around LA, it's just always when someone invited me, lol! I still am introverted, but trying to get out more a tiny bit. lol
These are top-quality videos! I'm visiting Pleasanton / Livermore in February, so this has me excited!
Enjoy the wine in Livermore. So many places to choose from. If you experience a place I haven't let me know how it is.
We've always wanted to check out vineyards out there. We've visited a bunch here in the midwest. We were just down in Kentucky last month and stopped at a couple distilleries and did bourbon tours and tastings. That was cool. Nice video showcasing the valley. Makes us want to visit even more!
Oh I love the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. I've done Woodford Distillery and drank at Bourbon on Main in Frankfurt before. That is a beautiful area to drive through
@@AdventuresOfATravelingDon It was great. We were looking at Woodford, but ended up checking out the Stitzel Weller Distillery history and tasting tours. That was pretty cool to see the inside history of the place and what they did for bourbon. Left with a ton of Blade And Bow product haha.
lol nice I ended up with 3 bottles of the Double Oak Woodford myself. Expensive but, it lasted me a while.
I need to go wine tasting with you!
Absolutely you do. I know we'd have a blast. Future trip potential 😁
It's WentE not Went. Syrah and Petite Sirah tastes different because they are different grapes. When James Concannon bought the cuttings of Petite Sirah he thought he bought Syrah. However the rest of the world knows Petite Sirah as Durif who was the botanist who crossed bread Syrah grapes with Peloursin.
Lol so it was a happy mistake. That's always the best
Three wineries in a day, were you a but drunk by the time you finished the third one? Following you on the winery tours.
I will say that I paced myself but, I was relatively buzzed by the end of the third spot. 😂 thankfully I came with a driver (aka my dad)
