  • I've got 2 Juggernauts from California's Livermore AVA: Wente & Concannon! Both of these producers have made a huge splash on California Winemaking, but how do they hold up after all these years? Let's do a deep dive into their contribution and current offerings on today's UNCORKED!

Livermore was the wine area I frequented most for years, because it's less than an hour from our house. It's always a fun visit. I have fond memories of various versions of Concannon Petite Sirah. Thanks, Vince!

Oh nice! Yeah I definitely want to try a higher end Concannon Petite Sirah to do them justice, but I have to say, they have a Petit Verdot that is catching my eye..😏

Wow, those were wines I haven't had in years! Your description of the Wente Chardonnay made my mouth water! I bet that would be great on a hot day!!

Thanks yeah I think the Wente is definitely going to be my go-to wine when i'm looking for an every-day oaky chard!

It would be awesome if you were able to do a Livermore Valley feature on Steven Kent, whose red blends are great (if pricy). But compared to Napa, they are a steal.
