- In this video of Fear & Hunger I'll show you my own idea on how to become almost overpowered! Remember that, as I said, you can disagree with what I suggest and that there are multiple ways to do the same stuff! Also, before you ask, I didn't take penance armor cause I want to leave the player the choice of getting it or not, as it's mostly secondary once you have salmonsnake soul!

I like how in this game “overpowered” is “yeah now you can save and heal when you want”
Yeah we have access to all recruitable party members, which means also basically all the skills from hexen, an infinite save source so we can try everything, and some cool equipment that will prevent us from dying!

Tried my first few runs yesterday even the noodle men would kill me cause I'd have multiple misses in a row. Yes I know you can head shor them and I know to avoid fights where you can but I'm not gud yet at the movement

Excellent basic overview. Allow me to put an extra bit of "meat" on this skeleton for new players:
- If you find an empty scroll I strongly encourage you to write "O LORD TEACH ENGARDE". This ability allows your party to attack with advantage, giving you an extra turn to flee, damage the enemy, or kill them in one turn without suffering from the "after death" damage bug/feature
- If you find the 'Passages of Mahabre' make a beeline for the caves and grab the blue sin. It's one of the most powerful weapons you can get in the game, especially once cursed, and it's basically a freebie.
- Try to save one book of enlightenment. That way you can use it before the end bosses across different save files.
- Save your lucky coins for bookshelf coin flips. You'll always have a chance to get an empty scroll, which will usually be the most useful item you'll find in the entire game.
- Kill the cavemother and taker her gnome eggs to feed the salmon snake. This can be done easily once you have miasma, and it'll make that fight a free one.
- If you don't want to lose access to the quill (or avoid having to fight the villagers) kill the salmonsnake and wear the stone crown while taking the cube. Won't work if you rescue D'arce.
- Teach at least one character a magic spell and try fight the white angel asap, using the spell on its heart. It's soul will let a character attack twice, making it probably the most powerful item in the game.
That's what comes to mind for me. Happy fear and hungering!

Also may i add that try to not break or unlock the door in the basement incase you got ring of wraith and sorcerer stone cause if you have it essentially became a slow but free and steady body and mind heal especially considering the reward behind that door is average at best anyway

i dunno if it works both ways but i used the scroll and put a space between "EN" and "GARDE" i haven't tried it the other way.
fun fact: moonless is bugged and seemingly has an infinite amount of paws, so you can just use bonesaw on her instead of green herbs to get rid of infection
Yeah even tho I still wasn't able to recreate that bug, as it only happens certain times apparently!
I need to know how to perform this bug, my moonless ended up dying of shock because she lost three paws :(

6:32 along with the moonless guards massacring the village, she sometimes doesn't sell the quill. I believethis has a 50/50 chance as well. You could guarantee the 5 silver by killing a nightlurch and looting it.
Yeah it's a 50/50, I thought to not mention it because you already have to rely on the chance of them not being dead!
If you have Stealing you could also try Iron Shakespeare
A better way to guarantee the five silvers is to loot them from the hanging corpse in the courtyard, no risk required
On my first playthrough I just used the Sorcerers Stone for infinite Mind regen with Enki and spammed party healing spells while having all aggro target my greater blood golem I sprayed with Pheromones. You only need a open party slot and bam the traces of the Gods killed with remarkable ease.
Yeah that's a good plan! On the first turn you're kinda uncovered, and against sylvian in particular you may get entangled before casting pheromones, but yeah!

Hard mode has changed me so much to the point that i jumped at 7:49 when i saw crow mauler for a split second

I'm doing a themed playthrough and something amazingly thematic just happened:

I'm an All-Merr faithful, ignoring other gods completely. No bunny-mask orgies, no wolf-mask cannibalism. No blood ritual heresy. Pray only to All-Merr at each ritual circle.
Faith, it seems, does not go unrewarded because suddenly this happened: Upon searching Nosramus' library, All-Merr saw fit to bless us with FIVE EMPTY SCOLLS from a single shelf WITHOUT even using a Lucky Coin.
O.O I didn't know such a thing was possible!
I've used two for White Angel Souls but I have no idea what to beseech All-Merr for, with the remaining three. What more could we want? I ask you, great sage Frapollo. Give me your counsel :-D
Here's what I'm packing:
Darce: Blue Sin, White Angel, Countermagic, Transmutation, Walk on Water
LeGarde: Miasma, White Angel, Leg Sweep, Counter
Girl: Cursed Dagger, Sorcerer's Stone, Loving Whispers, Healing Whispers, Pyromancy Trick
Moonless: Level 3 Bite, Combustion
Should I endow Girl's dagger with poison? Combined with burning flames, I suspect it could lay low even the most hulking monsters in short order. Or perhaps, should we beseech the great All-Merr to grant the Girl a set of angel's wings as well?
This band of holy warriors scours the darkness with purifying fire, sustained by healing spells and unending nourishment granted by the grace of All-Merr. The two Knights are swift as angels, slaying monsters with zeal and determination. What now, would best befit them?
Wow that's one hell of a party! Girl should definitely get poison to be able to beat easily majority of stuff imo! The rest is already perfect, that's an endgame party!
@@frapollo94 I'll take your advice for sure. I very almost gave Girl the White Angel Soul, then she could attack and heal in the same turn, or double cast pyromancy
But for big bastards, it'd be nice to stack burn with poison
@@frapollo94 so I ended up going with a Black Witch Soul for Girl. Then I wrote, "O LORD TEACH TORMENT CHAINS" and it was one of the best things I've done all game
Killed the Harvestman in one hit with Chains of Torment lmao this feels so cathartic. Especially after that spindly c*nt STOLE MY BABY GIRL
Alll-Merr was pleased by this and, on the shelves before the Lady of the Moon, I found another 2 empty scrolls. Praise Alll-Merr!
As a huge P.L. fan myself, I really loved the edfort in getting as close to the format as possible. Extra points for the thumbnail, because that actually tricked me when I forst looked at it.
As an aside, it is shocking just how few genuine guarantees there are in this game. But hey, at least there's still infinite lucky coins :P

I recently watched a vid showing a Ragnavalder run where they kill everything. Anything that could be shot down by bow was, and his weapon of choice was cursed blue sin and black witch soul for a poison + fire combo though i assume it would be majorly harder than the path used here.
Yeah let's say cursed blue sin requires the passages of mahabre! And on some bosses you may prefer the raw damage from purified eastern sword!
That is clever. For infinite mind and body I got the sorcerer ring and wraith's ring. Go to a door you can try to force it. Then guard. It counts as a combat turn and the rings activate. Infinite body and mind as long as you keep one door in the game that you can always force open. The venerable locked DOOR is the best healer in the game. XD
Yeah that's another cool idea!
If you can En Garde the door, it should be PERFECT, you get two turns. But I don't know if it works... Well, might check soon

Yeah that's a good idea! I didn't do that so if someone wants to do it they still can, like for restoring limbs, that way you have more roads!

My first time playing, chose Terror and Starvation because of this video. Worked wonderfully, except that I didn't know the layout of the dungeon, lost a pair of limbs and only have like 3 torches left. Still a win for me. Have everything I need to fight Francóis and the rest of final bosses (already killed Valteil, granny and Chambara).

Do Pinecone Pigs work if you equip them to party members who aren't the main character? I wanted to equip the thorned ring onto myself but I didn't want to lose the effects of pinecone pig either

Dude i guess you're italian (me too) from the accent so i'm gonna give you 2 advices since the idea and the script are nice: your accent is quite strong so i recommend you speak a little slower, second thing, you show how to get overpowered but i have to pause the video and go back every time you have to choose something in combat or dialogues. Anyway, as i said good idea and good script so imma give you a thumbs up. Peace.

This is another great video I really enjoy the overpowered series for FF just like you sir but I am far less familiar with them than you.
you did a great job though I will say early on I think you spoke quite quickly I feel like adding in a to do list with time stamps to the description. (I would have added that in the corner of the video but just a possibility for feature guides.)

I did that with mercenary using en garde + escape plans and oh boy, it was one of the easiest runs of my life

In my case if i went with the knight of rondon quest i just keep atleast 1 door in the basement keep guard while sorcer stone and ring of wraith heals sure it took while every time but hey if yer patient os free body and mind heal without the need of coin trick incase you got unlucky with glass vial stock
Yeah if you want you can get that guaranteed ring of wraiths and sorcerer stone! I don't suggest this completely as you'll lose gaunt armor, which is one of the best in the game!
I would love seeing you completely rip the game apart with with glitches and all

Despite not liking playing fear and hunger I LOVE to watch videos about fear and hunger
TOTALLY RELATABLE, this happens to me in a lot of games!
That's actually how i olayed my first real run with few difference i got the crit sword with the crit talisman so i'll regulary hit for 1k dammages, i've got Blue Sin and Miasma and a lot of great armor, i'm actually running trough every ennemies and boss of the game
you forgot to sacrifice the girl to give the limb back to the doggy
Girl is better than Dog and enables ending A! So that's why I didn't want to do that!
your a monster for cutting off moonless's paw, sick run tho probably gonna try it ;p
If I didnt saw off that, moonless would have died! I did it for her wealth!
I find it very difficult save L'egard after doing all that. I find it a lot easier going straight to him though the thicket and then doing everything else
If you find a random explosive vial to enter thicket sure! That's a good idea!
Basically got this down to a science now to play terror and starvation lol. Then s endings here I come
I like the overpowered combo of Mime=Counter x4 in FF7. Omnislash 8 times hell ye.

Scroll of walking on water give player access to combustion spell (better fire spell which cost nothing) and demon seed (make demon child to sell to pocketcat/sacrifice). I found a scroll of dark mage (easy gororth spells), too bad it's only usable for main character. I think killing cave mother first before salmonsnake is better cuz gnome egg cheese. I think locust swarm and flock of crow is useful aganst bosses, but raising affinity with god of the depth isn't easy.
Walk on water doesn't give access to demon seed!
Cavemother sometimes may attack first if you have 3 or 4 party members, and may cut off a limb, in a guide to be overpowered we don't allow that!

There are 2 layouts, one that needs a key, one that doesn't!

I want to ask something, when you beat a monster their remained body still there, you can interact with, most videos i see they use "search it" feature or use soul stone. So what happens if you choose to "beat it"?
Beat it unfortunately in the first game is purely flavor text, like, when you beat trortur it tells you his head is squishy for example

Unfortunately I've never played in that mod! But I don't think the mod altered how certain quests or item positioning work! I could be wrong tho!
