Today I got 3 empty scrolls, a passages of mahabre, and a book of enlightenment in a single bookshelf. Miro himself came down from the heavens to bless me.
Don't get used to it, Miro will soon send a missed coinflip attack in your way!
blast from the past :O Yeah back then the only way to save was risking crow mauler. I wanted to emphasize the roguelikeness of the game and discourage saving, it was basically just a troll option. But everyone tried to save there regardless and complained how harsh the system was.
The most common tactic was to rush straight to the crow mauler bed, fight the thing, hoping for headshots to kill him fast. If they killed the mauler, they got a free save point. yay. But it was the most tedious thing ever because you probably had to keep doing that many times over if you hoped to survive him. To counter this tedium, prison beds were made save points too despite it going against the roguelike feel. People really wanted their save spots.
Gotta be honest, I love hardmode specifically cause there is no way to save, it adds a lot to the tension of the dungeon of having to pay attention to everything, but yeah I understand how it may seem tedious to some people after some tries! But if people really tried to deal with crow head to get a save spot... maybe they had more patience than me!
I think that would have indeed made it more tense, but then it would need an option to close the game without losing progress, I think The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth has this feature. Otherwise you would always have to play through the game in one sitting, and especially if you wanna take your time with it, it would just be very annoying to have to leave the game running for many hours when you don't have enough time for a whole playthrough

I discovered Fear & Hunger a couple days ago and I have to say, I am surprised by how big this game's community is. I am not a very big JRPG fan, but for some reason this game completely drew me in, it's just so good.

Surprised you didnt mentioned some of the other wierd stuff, like how the cave village is randomized, you don't need a rope to go down to the cannibal hole area, andother oddities
Yeah I went through the village but the video was already 20 minutes long, so I preferred to cut some parts!

you should do an atheist fear and hunger run, not using a single skill from the old gods(jesus/god of the depth included) and you cannot do any action that raises your affinity, get ending B to kill grogoroths balls!

@@frapollo94an edgy atheist that doesn't like people (no party members) and insists on going for heads because it's 'the logical thing' to do, the katana is optional. Also doesn't like 'souls' because that implies theres something after death, which there isn't apparently.

I just realized what makes you so fun and entertaining. It is you who is playing and you are obviously very skilled at this game - but you keep saying "we" - you are, very naturally, sharing this with us so it FEELS like we are in it with you - which is what this game is really about. Excellent job as usual, I am laughing so hard as you mentally speak outloud all of your calculations while observing where things are missing.

Yeah you're right, I kinda skipped it as it's like 16 pixels total and I saw other bigger streamers playing the whole game without censor, so I decided to not care about that particular thing!

i dont know if it works on the demo but moonless best bite can stun nash rah and stop darkness from approaching, its easy to get nahsrah to 1 hp in the main game since moonless i think it has a high % to stun attackss twice a turn and stunfor a few turns
Unfortunately it doesn't work like that! The approaching thing is a scripted event!

I'm relatively new to fear and hunger and TRULY bad at videogames so I am very proud to announce that I've been basically playing the game like it's the demo for the past two months. No wonder I've never gotten anything but the worst ending. Your videos are great though! I've been basically binge-watching them ahahha good work!

I've been playing F&H1 for 2 months now. I now know my way around the place, know what and why happens. With 1 exception.
Run after run, I noticed that, after midway into the game, something just generates glass vials for me. I have no idea where they're coming from, what triggers this, but I use them all up then they slowly start regenerating on their own accord. And this stumps me, why am I randomly getting free glass vials? Not that I'm complaining per se, I just don't understand.

Fear and Hunger 2: Termina. Cosa termina, ma sopratutto, quando è iniziato? Domande alle quali forse avremo risposta con il terzo gioco.
Comunque stavo provando a capire come mai Marina e quel tossico di Levi siano nella schermata principale del gioco, ci sta che sono entrambi di Prehevil quindi magari hanno un po' più di lore o collegamenti alla storia. Forse potrei entrare nel discord per chiedere curiosità lì, anche se voglio stare attento agli spoiler.
