I hadn't seen this Mast UV box before, but after seeing your review I feel we should be getting one for our gear! Even more so your mention of cold wipe down and autoclaves as sanatizing layers in tandom with this box really inspires me to have better tattooing practices! Blessings to you and your family Daniel!

It’s a shame the bigger brands never spoken about a product like that before. Congratulations to Mast Company. Thanks for the video

Great review again from the man, the rockstar himself, I believe the box came with the X8 if you buy the whole kit, great little machine, can be adjusted just for stippling(without a backup battery doesn't last long as the voltage is set to 12v), used the machines I received as a gift like the Vlad Blad, Pirat Hook hybrid, Dan Kubin with the AI Tenitas Prophet UV box(also my 23 years tattoing gift and 43 year old young B'day presents) as coils are near and dear to my heart, as are coil hybrids, used them for almost 10 years before transitioning to rotaries, works on coils too the uv box, always great to see your handsome guitarist looks, you've helped me through my toughest and most depressing moments/times, always there to remind me I'm a tattoo artist and that loosing my machines, material things should not stop me from tattooing, choosing me as the giveaway winner was a part well played on your path as it motivated me to tattoo to make money where our missionary work was volunteering and pays next to nothing besides food and apartments, now i can love volunteering because of you, thank you my friend🤘🏻

Thank you for the review. Quick question, in your opinion do you think this sterilization tool would cancel out the need for an autoclave or would an autoclave still be necessary?

Thats a fantastic question! According to the website/product page and some more data from online it states that "Each UV lamp emits 20,000uW/cm2 radiation illumination, utilizing UVA dual wavelengths to eradicate bacteria within 240 seconds."
The amount of UV light needed to sterilize depends on the wavelength, intensity, and contact time of the light, as well as the object being disinfected and the desired level of disinfection:
      Wavelength
UV light between 200-300 nanometers (nm) is considered germicidal, with 260 nm being most effective. This wavelength disrupts the nucleic acids in microbes, preventing them from replicating or expressing proteins, which leads to cell death in bacteria and inactivation in viruses.
      Intensity
The proper UV dose is the UV intensity multiplied by the contact time, and can range from 2-200 mJ/cm2. For example, a 90% kill of most bacteria and viruses requires a dosage of 2,000-8,000 μW·s/cm2, while larger parasites like Cryptosporidium require less.
      Contact time
The time of exposure to UV light can vary depending on the circumstances. For example, disinfecting a space with low-intensity UV light from close range may only take 60 seconds, but sterilizing a medium room with a 100 watt light could take 1-3 hours
The size of the sterilizer is also a factor, as larger sterilizers may require more UV lights for effective sterilization. When choosing a UV sterilizer, it's also important to consider the type of bulbs used, as mercury bulbs can expose users to harmful ozone. LED beads are a safer alternative.

I like how technology around tattooing evolved. The pen technology inspired me to start tattooing myself.

This is so sick, I am just curious what is the price? An autoclave that works right is kinda spendy so I am curious if this a cheaper option? #DanielYuck

What if I just want to sterilize my rotary grip ? Would this also work for that too ?
