haha it’s such a Sonia shade 😂 what panda eyes! i get them when my mascara bleeds 😂 i remember the Byredo boutique telling me the formulas are different and that the larger palette one is more forgiving on textured skin which makes sense as they are softer and silkier. so glad you’re loving it! there was a richer brown shade in the Kalahari that i loved for the same reason 😍. juxtaposing cool with warm is a great way to make more colors work with all skin tones too i think. p.s. i liked how your broke down the shades by smaller groups and explained how each color worked that way. very helpful!
Haha, luckily it's not as noticeable in the video as it was in real life, but my eyeliner smudged under my left eye, and I didn't notice until I had almost finished filming the video. 😂 Yes, the formula is perfect for textured skin! so silky and soft. 😍 I'm so glad the swatches were helpful that way! Thank you as always for watching. 💕
Love pink eyeshadows! So romantic. I regret not getting Mario's Ethereal Eyes palette as well. I think it's kind of perfect and the perfect size "big" palette. Love your silver and orange pairing!
I agree with you Cheyanna, Ethereal Eyes is the perfect size! While this palette is bigger than what I am used to, I somehow don't find it overwhelming at all. The shades are very nicely organised and coordinated, which makes it easier to create different looks without thinking too hard. And thank you! I'm on a huge orange kick at the moment, and I think it's such a fun colour to pair with silver! 💕
@@bornblushing I agree, I love how companies are making their palettes smaller overall and I think the shades being flush with one another with no dividers helps! yes I love orange with gray too
Just got this palette yesterday and it is exceptional. It’s definitely something you need to see and try to understand and appreciate! But a note, I used the new Pat McGrath eye primer under it and it seriously wore all day.
It’s truly such a wonderful palette that is much more beautiful in person! I’m glad you’re enjoying it as well. I’ve been using it almost daily since purchasing it back in April. That’s great to know about that primer! I have found that the matte shades do last quite well, so using one of those as a base always helps too. This palette has also helped me resist temptation on Natasha Denona’s recent release!
The Byredo larger palettes are my favorite and most usable everyday larger palettes, if that makes any sense. So many shades, but I don't get overwhelmed. The aesthetic of the packaging is so modern and lux. I love it. One can use a quadrant or a row of three and you are good to go. This formula is so forgiving on the eyes, and also on the face as a blush! That top is a beautiful color on you! Sad to hear it's creasing on you at 6 hours. I haven't had that issue. Also my favorite eyeshadow purchase of the year so far! I still love my Byredo Flora Kalahari palette and want to use both these palettes together! It's a match made in heaven!
Totally understand, I feel the same way in that it's the perfect everyday larger palette! While there are many options, they all make sense together, so it's really hard to mess anything up. And I agree, the packaging feels very modern! I've just started experimenting with using some shades as a blush -- gorgeous! Such a unique and forgiving formula, and while the shades look very "same-same", there's just so much you can do with it. Thank you! I am very into orange right now. It's a shame about the creasing indeed! I find it occurs more with the shimmer shades than the mattes. The mattes do seem to last longer on me. Definitely not a deal-breaker, and I am so glad I pulled the trigger on this and picked it up! Can't wait to see your review, especially comparing it to Kalahari! 💕
So excited to see you review this, the palette looks so lovely and I love how you paired the colors into different groups it really shows the versatility of the palette and the looks you created are beautiful. Thank you for sharing, hope you're well!💕
Hi Natalia! It is a really lovely palette. I'm glad I got to try this formula as I was very curious to see how it compares to Byredo's quints. Thank you so much for watching as always! 💕
Major Regrets indeed not getting the Makeup by Mario Palette. I still have my eye on the Dysco Palette but you are making me curious about this palette. Also...."I don't have many of these boring shades..." I am laughing so much. My eyeshadow collection is mainly boring shades hahaha. I will get on board one day with a larger palette. I am waiting for my perfect palette to show up!
This palette is good value in that you'd receive many of the Dysco shades (or very similar at least) as well as some other very pretty ones. I rarely reach for Dysco even though it's such a pretty palette, but I've been reaching for this one daily. It's weird! I definitely see the allure of the boring shades. They just look so good on the eye! I'm following your lead and have been inspired by your makeup looks lately. 💕
Such a helpful video! I’ve been eyeing this palette even though I think I prefer the more colorful kalahari palette, which I passed on because I didn’t love all the colors.
Isn't it fun to find a "long-term relationship" kind of palette? You made this one sound like so much fun! Hearing you describe yourself as a "player" when it comes to makeup made me smile. I'm the same. 😂 I loved the way you described Byredo's packaging style... "outside the box *cynical eyebrow raise*" 🙄 That Sonia Butler shade really does look delicious and might be the most tempting one out of the whole palette for me. I also regret not having that Makeup By Mario Ethereal palette!
Oh, so fun! It's always lovely to find a product that turns you from a player to a committed partner. 😉 The Sonia Butler shade is very special. Such a lovely and unique one-and-done! Thank you as always for leaving such fun comments on my videos. What a treat for me to read on my commute to work this morning!
Hi Joshua! Unfortunately I have never tried Kalahari so I can't compare the two, but I do compare this with Byredo's quints. Are you thinking of picking up this palette? 💕
So beautiful... I just have to keep reminding myself that every time I buy a large palette, I end up giving it away...no matter how much I like it. Only Quads/Quints for me.
I completely understand! This is the first large palette I've purchased, so I was worried it would go to waste and I would quickly revert back to my quads and quints, but thankfully I'm still enjoying it. I'll keep you posted if this love affair lasts.
OMG i am checking out the swatches and had my eye on a particular shade. AND THEN YOU SAID MY NAME! hahah i am sorry you know me so well. I just had to shout that out :P
