I went through something similar last winter, and as silly as it sounds, "liberating" is 100% the right word for the feeling! I slimmed my routine way down and focused on high-quality drugstore products, and now the only thing I really splash out on is my sunscreen. Deciding that I was done spending my time, money, and decision-making energy on skincare let me get back to enjoying rather than dreading my routine. Thank you for the smart and refreshing video!

What an achievement reducing your skincare costs to that level while still loving the results! So happy to see a new video from you!! Loved this video, I'm so happy that you were able to heal your skin & find a better routine for you, it feels horrible when your skin completely freaks out and you feel so out of control.
I'm also constantly trying to simplify my routine & I feel like the Violette_FR products (Boum-Boum Milk & C'est La Cream) have worked so well for me, they're very simple & focused on sensitive skin which is perfect and they last me about 5-6 months which is insane, many products barely last me a month and a half! I'm not a huge fan of their serums so in that category I still stick to luxury brands I've used before and still love & also with sunscreen I haven't found anything that replaces either my Pavise or Agent Nateur Holi Soleil, but I'm like you, I struggle so much with finding a good sunscreen so I will definitely continue using the ones that work for me even if they're pricier. Overall, I think it's also this constant pursuit of "perfect skin" that keeps us in this obsessive purchasing cycle & some luxury brands definitely promote this more is more mentality, especially as we grow older, it's like if you have a simple routine you're basically doing absolutely nothing for your skin, and I think more people are actually finding out that that's not true, sometimes less is truly more and just focusing on a simple hydrating soothing routine can work for so many.
I can't wait to see your Manasi(7) video, I love that brand! Also, congrats on being close to getting your degree. Best of luck!!💖

Hi Natalia! It's always so lovely to hear from you. I was wondering how you're doing! And no, I never saw your previous comment - it didn't show up on my end. How dare RUclips hide the comments of one of my favourites!
I've used Violette's Boum Boum Milk in the past and I LOVED it! I love how long it lasts, I agree. I haven't tried her cream but I believe you when you say it's so calming and effective. And yeah, finding that perfect sunscreen is TOUGH, so I am reluctant to try others in the meantime, though many people have sung the praises of Korean sunscreens. Have you tried any?
Yes, the chase of the mythological "perfect" skin is such a futile (and expensive!) pursuit. I'm SO glad to not be attached to that anymore. Less really is more!
Oooooh! Yes, I LOVE Manasi(7)! It's by far my favourite makeup line now. Ever since trying their products, I haven't wanted to use anything else! What have you tried by them? Once I've finished my studies, I plan on making a video showing a few of my favourite items by them. One thing I particularly adore about the brand is their "less is more" philosophy, too!

@@bornblushing Aw thank you, I hate it when RUclips does that!!
Ooh yes I have also heard amazing things about Korean sunscreens but I actually haven't tried any, again since I struggle so much with sunscreen I'm kind of afraid to test around different ones, and I've usually found that most of the Korean skincare products available where I live have fragrance or a lot of essential oils so that always makes me a bit cautious, but maybe one day I'll try them out.
I also love the Manasi(7) philosophy and how you can really tell that they have a very beautifully curated line and really stick to their message (not like other brands like Augustinus Bader who initially were like you only need one face cream, this does it all, and now they have an insane amount of products after becoming so popular ). So far, I have only tried the all over colours and the eye glows, but I'm dying to try out their skincare line, their lip pencils, highlighters, and more of the all over colours, they truly create the most exquisitely unique shades, the new one Pacaya looks stunning! So I can't wait to see your video.
It's always so nice chatting with you and I'm so happy to see you back here again! Good luck with everything, hope you're doing well!!

Yes, Manasi's philosophy is amazing, and it's even more amazing that they ACTUALLY stand behind what they say. I feel like most brands are full of BS when it comes to appealing to the more "minimal" crowd.
Ohhhhhh my goly wolly, Manasi's All Over Colours are INSANE. I adore them. I now have a selection of their All Over Colours, Strobelighters, Eye and Lip Definers, and also their Bronzelighter. The skincare boutique I used to purchase from had a buy one get one free sale on all Manasi products, sooooo you can guess how that went.
