It kind of breaks my heart when Raymond says "cuz I'm gonna be here for a long time, a very long time. I'm gone for good god forbid from my home" The way he says it's like he is saying something he used to say. I believe this is a reminiscence for what he used to say when they took him to Wallbrook as a kid, away from his home. Raymond is such a beauatiful lovely character so well written and incredibly performed.
I loved Dustin Hoffman's performance in this movie, he was incredible, he absolutely pulled it off. If I ever wanted to spend the rest of my life watching movies, this is one of them
Note this was a syndicated episode of Wheel of Fortune since Ray was mocking the spiel that was used between November 1987 and February 1988: "...Over $150,000 waiting to be won as we present our Big Bonanza of Cash on Wheel of Fortune!"
@@STO_1601 And if he were to have watched the end credits, he would have said exactly: "The prices of the prizes were furnished to the contestants prior to the show and have been rounded off to the nearest dollar. Gift certificates do not include sales tax. Wheel of Fortune is produced by Merv Griffin Enterprises. Distributed by King World."
He found phone book very interesting . So many names , addresses and numbers. If the freaking Wheel of Fortune would not have started, he would memorize all book, not just up until G letter
Maybe it is the celebratory party aspect of sharing large pizza boxes among people. Pizza does not sound like hospital food. Maybe also pepperoni pizza or cheese pizza do not have a good reputation of healthy or balanced foods in institutional settings.
When it came to him and wheel of fortune, it reminds me of how hyped up when ever wrestling came on! I'd always say "Whats gonna happen tonight on Raw or SmackDown?!"
Everyone I am serious about what I'm about to say. Just like raymond, I have the urge to write lists about random things. I am not autistic but I do have some asspergers. Instead of writing the results of wheel of fortune episodes,I list world war 2 battles and Nintendo games. What is this? Somebody please comment back because I was curious about this for years.
Asperger's is a form of autism. And many people with Asperger's have special interests such as your's. It is also a sign of great intellect that you have. Be very happy with who you are and embrace this :)
"There's no bookshelves. Definitely, definitely...no books. I'm gonna be bookless."
Definitely. Definitely. One of the all time Greats.. Dustin H. Really showed his Talent. Here. Yeah. 3 minutes to Wapner. Lol
There is a ol phone book
"Pepperoni right?"
"No, I dont like pepperoni"
"Yeah a large pepperoni..."
He's such a jerk in this movie.
Well I think Ray was his big priority here since he’s got $1.5 million dollars that Charlie wants.
He didn't listen, did he?
Or, unless the pepperoni is for Ray
It was for Ray
She can pick the pepperoni off her slices. Ray is the one who would have a meltdown without his pepperoni pizza. He ordered it for Ray.
“I’m gonna be bookless” Love it lol 😂🤣
Pizza, Orange soda, and Tapioca pudding. Oh the good ol 80's
How does that only apply to the 80s
@@JFKHaircut Certain food and drinks were popular in the 80's.
@@Eurodance90schick I hated Tapioca then and now. 😆
@@Eurodance90schick Pizza is timeless. Orange soda and tapioca pudding, not so much :))
I adore this movie to bits. On my top 5 favorites.

"WHATS HAPNIN HOLMES"
I loved Dustin Hoffman's performance in this movie, he was incredible, he absolutely pulled it off.
If I ever wanted to spend the rest of my life watching movies, this is one of them
Certain scenes I never get tired of like the poker scene and the visit to the doctor's office.
"V-E-R-N .. Holmes. What's happenin' holmes?"
I absolutely love this movie.
On Mondays we have Pepperoni Pizza
On Tuesdays we have Pancakes
On Wednesdays we have Fishsticks
And on Wednesdays we wear pink. 😂 (Sorry I had to.)

Just make sure there is EXACTLY 8 fishsticks, not 4.
What does he eat on Wednesday's, Thursday's and Friday's?
Valeria Golino so beautiful
She played Charlie Sheen's girlfriend in Hot Shots...I think
@@guypeate3628 Yes, and Pee-wee Herman's in Big Top Pee-wee. So she's been with Tom Cruise, Charlie Sheen and Pee-wee Herman. Quite a resume! 😂
All of you are just scumbags and idiots being attracted by a fake bitch
The Italian girl "Suzanne" is ridiculously cute. I like it when she kisses Rain Man in the elevator. What a doll she is!
yes, very sensitive soul
Valeria Golino. Very pretty woman.
It felt wet.
I friggin' love Dustin in this movie!
Same! I also love him in Hook, Kung Fu Panda, and Meet the Fockers
@Christopher Bingham That I heard and it was well-deserved.
@@shanerose7204 Those are great movies, especially Fockers and Hook.

Apart from The Terminal, this is one of my fav movies.
That’s so funny I just watched rain man and then the terminal in that order. Both are great movies

Yeah, this movie was released in 1988. The syndicated show switched to cash at that point but the daytime show continued with the shopping.

Tom plays the coolest guy who's ever lived in this one
Why is Susanna so surprised that they serve pizza at Walbrook? Like...was pizza considered to be exotic or something back then?
