This game is legendary. I am so hyped for the next game that they recently announced. I played Subnautica Below Zero, absolutely loved it, and now I am very anxious to be able to play Subnautica 2!!!
The deppressing part of subnautica the fact in the story the protag slowly discovers that they are stranded and alone. That and the desease that is slowly killing him.
What’s even worse is that 25 life pods left the Aurora, only 10 are findable in the game, implying most the life pods either burned up in orbit or landed in the void. I’m not sure which of the 3 options would have been the worst.
Honestly definitely the void would’ve been worse either a slow death by crushing from the pressure or being mauled by ghost leviathans and dragged down into your watery grave And worse since ghost leviathans are not meant to eat meat or at least not in the begging of their life cycle they’re gonna kill you very slow
@@Casual_Nerd86 many of the surviving lifepods ended up dying in similar ways, or just drowning, and based on Soviet space research you definitely don’t want to be in any sort of situation where your stuck in a metal box burning in the atmosphere. I think dying from pressure or being killed may have been one of the tamest way to go, dying from being cooked alive in a 1000 degree oven is not, or drowning hundreds of meters below the surface.
@@aerobik3d his is my favorite because I think he has the most realistic reaction of them all, just not being able to even understand wtf just happened
The most depressing thing about this game is that the main character was knocked out in the first few hours after landing, if only the character wasn’t knocked out maybe Riley would have made contact with a few other survivors
I wish i could forget this game and play it all over again 😭 Ive been with it for years though, way back before the lava zone was even a thing and the terrain builder was still around
Some people are saying that all the other crew members died in the first 8 hours, and are all dead by the time the main character wakes up. Other sources say it was three hours. How can this be so either way? If the MC was unconscious for several hours, he would have died from smoke inhalation, or surely the fire itself would have finished him off? Or are we supposed to believe that the fire didn't start until shortly before he woke up?
I mean the lifepods propably aren't pressurised while in the atmo... Which would make sense why the fire was even burning in the first place. Had the pod been pressurised, or at least not providing oxygen, it would've killed Riley, yes, but it would then stop due to lack of oxygen.
GOSH the Subnautica lore pains me but its so addictive Hearing the desperation in their voices, like "I'm not going to die down here.. Am I?" Is heartbreaking but also SO cool Oh yeah, nice animation
If I remember right, there is a mod that completely randomises your life pod spawn, so that very much can happen. Tried it myself. Can you guess where I landed? Right on the tailend of the Aurora, practically next to it.
Likely 7. 17 was Ozzy from the Cafeteria, who landed next to a large wreck in Grassy Plateaus. He likely had Crabsnakes on him according to what monsters he described outside the pod. Weird considering his location, though.
I think the crazier part is how so many were still alive and then died. It's obviously a single player game but plenty of these situations seemed fairly survivable, especially those that were close to your pod and not that deep. Either that or the Stalkers and Sand Sharks hated them way more than they hated you. Because even those guys are relatively friendly 90% of the time. Kinda crazy though that only 2 of the lifepods one of them being yours actually floated like they were supposed to. And the guy in pod 4 totally should have survived if he actually went ahead with his plan, he was probably killed before he even started, Reapers are only agressive close range, and with multiple decoys he would have totally been able to escape. His pod was probably just attacked a second time hence the hole. Even so from a lore perspective all the signals are received at different times, which makes it defenitly seem like you could have "theoretically" encountered them or saved them. Of course that'a not in the game but still.
Its even crazier the according to the black box data, lifepods 1-25 had launched and only see about 10 so there are 15 more whose whereabouts are just unknown

Still remember playing this game searching for survivor, frustrated and i search in wiki , 'apparently, all survivor are dead'. From searching survivor to searching cure.
This makes me glad we landed in the safe shallows. Imagine starting the game in one of these
Subnautica is scary, sad, and interesting at the same time. During my first playthrough, the hope that there was anyone left alive on this planet faded with every lifepod I found. An incredibly depressing feeling. I had to take a break from playing so I wouldn't get too much sad
DUDE. This is SO FUCKING GOOD! This is better than most movies I've watched recently. I'm playing the game again and this video gave me the chills.. the story is amazing and the game is very immersive but i never felt as close to the lifepods' passengers as I did just now. It was only a recorded message and an empty pod for me, but now I can imagine them inside as they're recording the message.. oof! this is so good. Please keep doing what you're doing, you're so very fucking talented! Great job.
If I could like a video more than once, I absolutely would for this. It's so smooth, both in the animation and the usage of the Lifepod audio. Fantastically made.
I literally didn’t give a crap about the other survivors besides Ozzy and Keen, but you made me feel for them. Bravo
🙏
didn't even feel anything for the head of HR in Lifepod 6?...the one who likely could have survived if it wasn't for an idiot
Better feel bad I been in a life pod before wasn’t like that in the game
@@xxmension04xx47oh yeah, then too
The life pods that really sold were the ones in the bloodkelp, the ones that made it to land and the ones who died cuz of their flare
im still amazed some pots managed to even stay... "whole", the pressure must be like hell.
This deserves more views. Surprised it doesn't have more
500 meters down is just insane considering the lowest a human has ever been was 120 meters in free dive
0:21 is the the imperial officer from battlefront 2? If so i just noticed that.
My friend: “what’s a life pod?”
Me: “FISH FOOD”
My friend: “the f-”
It's true tho
very nice animation !
Thanks!
If there was a life pod 8 and is on the edge of the void it would sounds like this (this is life pod 8 (static) we landed (static) it’s very dark around us and there’s something in the (static) our coordinates are corrupted attaching photo and (static) out)
don't know if it was intentional, but love how you used Lifepod 8 specifically, since 8 & the Infinity symbol as the same...and the Void tends to be considered as rather bottomless, or infinitely deep
@@xxmension04xx47 that’s cool
@@049jwithshoe also just imagine this is in their voice log as the final part
"Lifepod 8 Occupant: and there's something blue outside the lifepod, can't tell if its light from the surface or some creature"
@@xxmension04xx47 now that’s creepy and after that a pound impact
Maan I made a time capsule where I said:This is lifepod 8!I am on the edge of some giant hole and from one side yhere are some amel loke creatures and from other side gigantic blue worm!I am scared to go outside know...Somebody help. 8 out
This game is legendary. I am so hyped for the next game that they recently announced. I played Subnautica Below Zero, absolutely loved it, and now I am very anxious to be able to play Subnautica 2!!!
I love the miniature look of the animation. Good job!
This is actually great and feels like it could be a movie/show trailer
This feels like a game trailer
The deppressing part of subnautica the fact in the story the protag slowly discovers that they are stranded and alone. That and the desease that is slowly killing him.
Literally every human on Aurora: Oh god this planet is trying its hardest to kill us!
Riley: Hehe, fish go BOOM
This is so horrifying and chilling, I'm in love. It's so good
This is so cool!!! I like how you edited the audio clips together and made one thing instead of just doing each animation one after the other :D
anyone watching after subnautica 2 reveal
Damn this is sick. really well made, I can't find any flaws. good animation, good editing
Thank you!
Amazing Job I really like this video. The animation it was perfect in line with the messages and the graphics and music. the sound 100%
Thats awesome work! Good job!
Thanks!
What’s even worse is that 25 life pods left the Aurora, only 10 are findable in the game, implying most the life pods either burned up in orbit or landed in the void.
I’m not sure which of the 3 options would have been the worst.
Honestly definitely the void would’ve been worse either a slow death by crushing from the pressure or being mauled by ghost leviathans and dragged down into your watery grave
And worse since ghost leviathans are not meant to eat meat or at least not in the begging of their life cycle they’re gonna kill you very slow
Beautiful work! Thank you so much for this!!
That freakin scared me more than the whole game
Stunning Animation
Absolutely amazing
10/10 Animation
considering your username and profile picture you would do good in this game
@@TheFullAutomaticShermanShow The Seawing Leviathan 😂😂😂

I REALLY need a mockumentary to be made about subnautica and have voice recordings play as if it's true history.
you are so good at this keep doing it😉😊
Thank you so much 😀
Slowly, over the dunes of sand, a warper appears. What will it do? I wonder.
They didn’t do Ozzy from the cafeteria what the hell guys!
I really wanted to!!
Same here!
I wanna live on 4546b mfs as soon as they land literally anywhere:
Some people are saying that all the other crew members died in the first 8 hours, and are all dead by the time the main character wakes up.
Other sources say it was three hours.
How can this be so either way? If the MC was unconscious for several hours, he would have died from smoke inhalation, or surely the fire itself would have finished him off?
Or are we supposed to believe that the fire didn't start until shortly before he woke up?
He IS the MC after all… I don’t see why he wouldn’t survive
Well assuming we were launched from space landing on the planet k would think it would have some sort of ventilation system
The lifepods do have oxygen scrubbers, so the fire may not have killed him even if it was burning for a bit.
I mean the lifepods propably aren't pressurised while in the atmo... Which would make sense why the fire was even burning in the first place. Had the pod been pressurised, or at least not providing oxygen, it would've killed Riley, yes, but it would then stop due to lack of oxygen.
Absolutely incredible work. Great job on this.
Thank you very much!
Now that is animation!... And unlucky people.
Some quality stuff right there.
GOSH the Subnautica lore pains me but its so addictive
Hearing the desperation in their voices, like "I'm not going to die down here.. Am I?" Is heartbreaking but also SO cool
Oh yeah, nice animation
This motivated me to write a subnautica fanfic haha, thank you!!
That's awesome!
An animated film would be CRAZYYYYY
It hits harder when you at least find their last recordings before their demise. That should be the next one for your agenda.
If I remember right, there is a mod that completely randomises your life pod spawn, so that very much can happen. Tried it myself. Can you guess where I landed?
Right on the tailend of the Aurora, practically next to it.
@@HESHRocketWarhead Dear… God, no.
0:36 what does one do to get themselves in this bad of a situation? 😭
Have a giant alien gun shoot the ship your on down.
Insane video dude to keep up the good work
Thanks! Will do!
I can’t remember if it was lifepod 7 or 17 but one of them got attacked by a crab squid thingy
Likely 7. 17 was Ozzy from the Cafeteria, who landed next to a large wreck in Grassy Plateaus. He likely had Crabsnakes on him according to what monsters he described outside the pod. Weird considering his location, though.
What's sad is Pod 2 actually made it to surface and reached the floating island, but when they entered the water again they never returned
Imagine looking out your life pod after just crashing and seeing a crab squid I'd literally just off myself💀
It's funny that in lore, one got surrounded by stalkers and killed, but ingame, it's near impossible to get stalkers to even be a threat
This gives me Halo 3 ODST energy and I love it so much. Amazing job creating this
Thank you!
So sad that the only thing that remains, are signals and life pods. Beyond that, there is nothing
oh wow this is HORRIFYING, great job!!!
Talk about stroke of luck how the MC landed in the most safest zones in the reef.
Capsule 13, He was the only one who witnessed a direct death or at least was mentioned to us.
Its even crazier the according to the black box data, lifepods 1-25 had launched and only see about 10 so there are 15 more whose whereabouts are just unknown
