    I've been racking my brain, looking for a switch on Amazon! The only question I have is the 2 amp rating on the recommended switch enough? I was looking for at least a 10 amp controller, but they were to big to fit into the area of the old circuit board. Glad I found this video!

    • @mjmdiver1137
      @mjmdiver1137 Год назад +2

      Also, seeing the product you linked below, I might think that it needs to be a little higher amperage rated to be safe. It may burn out in time, but going up to a 5A product should be much more robust.

    Bro cheers! here in Aus my MaxxAir was $450, and the replacement board is $277, not including shipping... ridiculous.
    Bought a button board replacement for $11 and am going to test to see if that is main culprit for the fan dying out of know where first, hopefully should be here this week or next. But I might as well just buy these and keep it in case it is in fact the board that is dead. I don't use the auto temp setting so I don't need that.
    Only question is how would you make it do both exhaust and intake? I guess I'll have to see if there is a board similar that allows this feature too, as that's hell important to me haha
    Do you mind if I share this on the Australian Toyota HiAce Campervan, and Vanlife Aus pages?

    • @dugheckenkamp4047
      @dugheckenkamp4047  Год назад +3

      To make it to both exhaust and intake you'd have to have a switch that switches the polarity it's not that hard all you're doing is switching the wires around. Feel free to share wherever

      Here is a video I found that explains it. You need what's called a double pole double throw switch. When it is switched in One direction it will turn the motor clockwise when it is switched in the other direction it'll turn the motor counterclockwise. All it's doing is switching the positive and negative on the motor.

    • @dugheckenkamp4047
      @dugheckenkamp4047  Год назад +2

      It depends on which way you hook up the wires to the motor. If you hook it up one way it'll blow in if you hook it up the other way it'll blow out. If you put a double pole double pole switch in line you can easily switch it from in to out.

    • @dugheckenkamp4047
