If someone would have taught music in that manner when I was a youngster, I would actually kept learning! Instead I was board to death with the classical approach. As a wild kid with ADD and dyslexia, it's needless to say I never succeeded being consistent. I've watched two of your tutorials, and made the best beat I've made so far. And the greatest thing is I feel I can recreate what I was doing again and again, And probably get better. I thank you from the bottom of my heart! God bless you!
For years I’ve been kinda doing this without understanding what I’ve actually been doing. You just made this shit click in my head, like a switch just went off. I suddenly understand music, I’ve never felt like I’ve absorbed this much info this quickly before, amazing, Thankyou.
I’ve watched videos from actual piano players on RUclips that couldn’t explain this as simply as you did. Thank you, this chord stuff is starting to make sense.
Just wanted to say that this is pure gold right there! Its so good to see people really going out of their way to help people getting foreward in their ambition and helping them do something they love to do and might make a career out of it. God bless! So good that I found this channel. 🔥🔥
I think experience is best. There are no panaceas. No one size fits all. My suggestion would b to try all sorts of things. different settings. Normalized, trim, compressed eq layered, because there will be times when you use each and times when you dont. Knowing you options makes you a more powerful producer than just knowing one formula for one sound
your starting off wrong by thinking you must comp a kick...listen to it first then you should know if it needs more attack (transient designer) or if it needs EQ or even pitch shifting if its in the wrong key...if it still sounds wrong...change the damn kick
ive never 'normalised' a kick track in my life and have records on 1Xtra/Link up/SBTV where do you guys get this silly misinformed info....oh yeah...youtube
This video is teaching me SO much. Ive been producing for years now and I know this may sound dumb, but Ive always just had a melody and laid it down. Youve got me playing chords and coming up with all kinds of stuff. Thanks KC!

thank you so much for teaching me that short cut ive wrote everything you said down literally made my day god bless to you brother so educational straight to the point not complicating ita tall. best tutorial on RUclips by far ive been studying music for 6 years if people would have told me this at college I would be killing it right now very good teacher brilliant.

Very good tutorial! I don't do a whole whole lot of instrumentation in my beats as they're mostly sampled and chopped, but this is excellent advice for when I'm feeling like messing around on the 🎹🔥
Lol i almost died when you commented in 3:08Sec of the video, "You got to use your brain" I don't know bro lots of people dont like using it, it's just a figurine to some folk hahaha!!! Epic.
