    Im surprised they haven't noticed Hohenheim and Father have completely different voice actors

    • @axel9473
      @axel9473 5 месяцев назад +6

      Yeah, it's funny how they keep overthinking it. Apart from their basic facial features Hohenheim and father look, sound and act so different that it's hard to mix them up ever. I think they keep expecting Father to roam around and act normal like Hohenheim.

    I actually like Kimblee as a character. He is an antagonist but he’s very dedicated to his own views and philosophy

      Admittedly his Philosophy could in part be summed up as "Since you're willing to kill in some cases you should be willing to kill literally anyone in any other context". One can't be blamed for finding that more "deranged and incoherent" than "deep and complex"

    Well north city was likely part of Drachma until Amestris conquered it.

    Father has disseminated a lot of himself, not just into the homunculi but also the country (Amestris) itself. Mae mentions it’s why the alchemy of the country feels so wrong and off to people from Xing who use Alchehestry.

    It's notable that in the Sub this is one of the few instances where the Sins are referred to in Japanese (which is something lost in the dub) it's heavily implied that the names of the Sins are foreign words to the Amestrian and Xingese characters. And the concept of the Seven deadly sins is rather obscure occult knowledge only known by those who studied the culture of Xerxes.

  • @timbarney4941

    In mythology Pride is usually the first of the seven deadly sins. Many philosophers consider it as the root of all the other sins.

    First time we really see how powerful Hoenheim is. It's expected because he's basically a philosopher's stone.. but yeah pretty impressive. he can even transmute just by walking

      I would rather be happy, if someone said something like this to me, than complaining about sexism or something along these lines.
      Life is to short, to feel down/bad or complain about things that in 99% of cases have been meant to be nice.
      Whoever wants to feel attacked by it or by proxy so be it, if you want to spend your life being offended by everything, than live with it like this, I don't care as long as you don't enforce your views on everyone else, I'm fine with it.
      I'm personally more offended, if someone is offended by proxy, cause of an compliment directed at me, cause they think it may be sexist and can't shut up about it.

      It's creepy in that it is a tactic of more "old-fashioned" men that seek to reinforce the notion that women should be a pleasing sight or presence for men. The reason old-fashioned men (or misogynistic men) do this is because it is a normative push toward antiquated gender roles and expected behaviors of women. "You should smile..." is a creepy statement. That's not what he said exactly, but his words were a modified version of that. Also, for future reference, if women are experiencing something that is geared toward them as creepy or off-putting, then perhaps just accept that that's what that experience is for them and don't try to diminish or deny it.
