...maybe just hold down the power button until the console shuts off. Then power on. This removes the system cache and temporary files without factory reset. 😉

If the system menu has issues, press Xbox, menu button and then A to refresh. Or just reboot the console.
Don't fall for this video. It's not worth the hassle.
It will delete all your local saves, captures, settings, home Xbox settings etc.
You do not want to do the entire first time setup again. Especially not for a problem that doesn't exist.

@@magictvshow7139 sometimes when you get games that are very big it tends to make your Xbox work harder to power the game. Try lowering graphics. Also when the Xbox memory card gets full it tends to lag more in games. Also since fifa 23 is optimized for the Xbox series since they more powerful than the older Xbox.

Clearing out your cache, resetting and taking apart your console will help it run smoother

All you need to do is go into network settings -> advanced settings -> clear cache

You can do the same thing in settings menu, but even if you choose to save all game and apps, be prepared to log in to each app again.
It will actually be slower because it deletes all the shader caches and optimizations

This is actually a fantastic feature and is very useful, and it should be mentioned in the manual like the manual should include a Quickstart guide and a tips and tricks section and should be pleasant to generally go through and easy to go through

The thing is, as the text says, It removes EVERYTHING out of your Xbox except for your games and apps, so you might not wanna do this, what I personally recommend to do is to hold the power button until the console powers off again, this shuts down the entire console which removes any chace and temporary files without the risks of doing factory reset, an indication that you're successfully done this is if the Xbox Series X/S intro (Xbox One intro if you're doing this on an Xbox One) plays

Biggest game changer for me when I had an Xbox One S was swapping out the hard drive for an SSD.
It deletes any game mods like farming Sim also some games doesn't save saves on clould and those will be gone

You can just hold the power button down for about 10ish seconds, it shuts it completely off without the need to setup, and restarts everything fresh
My older xbox is running so slow it actually has to "warm up" before it goes online and i can play any game definitely trying this

I just want to add the Information it DOES delete External files, used for games, such as Mods (Fallout 4, Space Engineers, Snow Runner, Cities Skylines) and Purchase-able Content like an Ingame Market Place (MSFS2020) or Creation Club (Fallout 4) for almost all of the Games you have to Re-Download the Mods and Purchased/Free Contents of your Games MANUALLY, ONE BY ONE, except Space Engineers, this game does this automatically once you load a Modded world.
I did this before reading comments 😅 luckily it saved everything but a few in game settings
This will definitely work alot on my Xbox that was in my car crash that tumbled 10 times after we hydroplanes and was abandoned in a junk yard for a months thank you🗿

If you really want to get the same result you can just go to settings, go to general, go to power options and select (Shut-Down Now) at the bottom right.
You forgot to mention what it does.
Erases everything (off the xbox,not the microsoft acc) expect for installed apps and games. Its practically a factory reset.
To clear the cache the correct way for any Xbox, turn off Xbox, unplug xbox wait 30 seconds then plug back in and turn it back on.
This is a full reset. Get ready to get rid of everything and re-set your console up. But this does definitely help, not just for consoles, but any computer, down to even your smartwatch.
I lost my saved data, I had to make a new account, Change the settings to the way I like them. Now I have to get that one achievement again!

If your Xbox is running slow you should do these steps
1. Power it off
2. Buy a new onr
Just buy a ps5 2 years in I haven’t cleaned it once it feels just like new no performance issues
This is helpful my brand new series x was just too slow for my tastes, now that I did this trick it is running 240 fps at 8k quality
Now everything is up and speedy again , and now I don’t have my games and I can’t use my Xbox and will never be able to restore the lost data

I did this recently because I had to. It did make my Xbox faster. Minecraft boots in about 1/4 the time that it used to. Probably because I’ve had this Xbox since 2017 and I’ve never reset it before and I used it every day.
If your download speed is not the same as before, restart the console again. Happend to me on downloading games all the time and it fixed it.

Just shut it off normally, most of the time a console is slow because people leave it on or only put it in rest mode, definitely never pull the cord unless you ensured that the console is off, doing this is such a hassle it's better to just not (it's important to turn off electronics correctly because it will ensure the longevity of it and it will usually wipe the cashe that's only beneficial to certain apps which can slow consoles down if they get built up)

Anyone that wants do this, please know that it delets your accounts, changes to settings that you made and makes you set up your console again
I got a series s but when I went into reboot mode on the Xbox one it never brought me back it also get going to the the troubleshoot menu
It doesn't just reset your temporary files, it'll remove all of your settings and data in Xbox services such as your account, online settings, and device settings.
You'll have to set the entire thing up again, and then you'll see your apps and games. Pretty useless if you don't want to go ahead and log back in to everything outside of your apps and games and redo your device settings.
if you're gamesharing with someone don't do this it'll delete your friends account and you'll have to get back on it and redo it dont waste ur time if u want to make ur xbox faster just delete Cache and reset your Xbox by holding the power button till it shuts off then unplugging it from the back for 30 seconds and you'll be good to go

I did this it completely reset my Xbox to the welcome screen I logged in with Xbox app and it was running faster my loading time for Minecraft went from 20 minutes to 5

I think it's better to defragment it unless that is defragmentation under cover
