So with messing around a little bit, I built a working on off switch.
If you start at the collection hopper, counting the hoper count left 3 blocks. Then walk straight back from that 3rd block in, 5 squares, and build a 3 high redstone torch tower, starting with a solid block on the ground with a torch on top of it.
So block, torch, block, torch, block l, torch. On top of the third redstone torch place a sticky piston facing the farm, and place a solid block on it. And then down at the bottom block place a lever.
This will allow the block to move over the redstone and disrupt it, without breaking the resstone trail. It prevents the trap door from opening. Once you flip the lever down, the trap door will open, and the flying machine will start to run again.

Bro I never built the farm he built I was here for the flying machine design the flying machine works fine but the swich is bugging for me is there any way you can show me your other switch design? That would help a lot if not its ok thanks

The flying machine works perfectly in my creative world. In my survival world, it doesn’t work at all. It randomly stops, turns around or loses one of the pistons. Please, folks, does anyone of you have any idea how this is possible and how I can fix it? Is it because of the lags of the portal igniter nearby? My creative world was created in 1.18 with experimental features on, my survival world is way older, probably around 1.15, and has lots of addons, which I removed in a copy of the world to try if these are the cause, but they aren't. I'll build a portal igniter in my creative world to to test my previous theory now. I am just so confused why it works in one world and completely breaks apart in another.

It isn't the portal igniter either. Just very strange. Great farm and good tutorial though.
make sure both of the repeaters are on 4 tick it fixed it for me
I already double-checked everything, but I'll look again anyway. The repeaters cannot really be the reason though, because the flying machine is also falling apart if I start it manually midways.
@@Ecki_Meerschweinchen Don't you have lag in your map? Because I think this could be the reason
slightly modified myself, but works well
only issue faced is the minecart may not always be stopped fast enough by the mechanism to find whether or not the hopper being used, causing the minecart to not stop, other than that it works very well.

If you replace the last powered rail before the hopper with a normal rail that should fix it
I wish there was a toggle to turn the machine on or off.
It works, but each time I exit my world, the flying mashing vanishes, it does not stop working, but completely disappears .
Honestly, my red stone skills are nonexistent and don’t know how to achieve this
You can put a lever next to one of the trapdoors so that you can open and close the trapdoor with it, so you can turn it on and off.The movement of this machine completely depends on the trapdoors

Does it have to be in a open spot or can it be put in a hill?
It doesn't matter where it is, only this area must be flat so that you can build a farm
Minecart keeps either going too fast for it to stop at the collector system and when it bounces off it doesn’t get enough speed to go over a powered rail. I’ve tried the other comment that said to replace the powered rail with a normal one, but that didn’t seem to work. Any tips?
Place a powered rail wherever the minecart stopped

I don't know that and no this is the biggest size.
i got the machine to work but it keeps breaking. the piston keeps flying off the machine and i have to keep replacing the previous piston. i was wondering if you could help with this issue.

You can't change the size of the flying machine, just make the farm longer.
wondering if you can help, it works perfectly. only issue i have is that it stops working and i have to either place a block to keep it going or destroy the torch, happen to know why that may be
If you mean that when it reaches the redstone torch, it doesn't start moving again, you should set the repeaters to 4 ticks, this way your problem will be solved.

Lag can often affect flying machines.
when it get to the trapdoor it stops and wont go the other direction, what should i do?
Put the repeaters on four ticks and if it still doesn't work, add some more repeaters and put them on four ticks.
Bro pls help me everything works fine but the trap door opens and closes 4 times and because of that it doesnt keep moving any ideas??
Set all the repeaters on 4 ticks if it didn't work add some repeaters and put them on 4 ticks too
@@cyrus80 no worries bro played around with the switch design for some time the fix was simple the repeator in the back had to be on 3 ticks the one in the front on 4 idk why it worked but it did also thanks for the design

Why can’t you plant sugar cane on some of the blocks?
Because the flying machine does not have access to those blocks and cannot use them

Yes, it works and you can replace the dirt block where we put water so that you can plant more bamboo

You can make it as long as you want
Bro 1.20 allay was released we can use Allay with spend to many iron.

You can put a lever next to one of the trapdoors so that you can open and close the trapdoor with it, so you can turn it on and off.
@@cyrus80 so when I do this, it flips the door up, but flipping the lever doesn't lower the door of the machine is under it.

why does the normal piston keep going out and stopping it?

@@BiggestJetsFan2 I had the same problem, tried using 4 repeaters but that didn't work so i simply put a 2 block "line" facing the regular piston that would "fall off" on each side
