This Hot Version videos are legendary. I would love to see how this cars compete against European Hillclimb cars. Both Touge and Hillclimb have a tradition of cars being purpose developed for years.
Great video, great cars. But the Seeker FD2 has to be one of the most special cars on the touge simply because they took the hated FF and menaced all but 5 faster cars. The kind of balance you need to build into a FF chassis to be faster than so many MR and FR cars is a next level of work.
great video, the only thing I want to say is that yes Gunsai it's a touge but it's not like the others, most togue have big downhills (or uphills if you strat from below) while Gunsai has some parts in downhill but many others in uphill where the engine it's even more important.
In my area most mountain passes are actually pretty leveled with small inclines and declines throughout like gunsai. I only know of one pure downhill and uphill mountain pass in my area.
Thanks! And I agree - the info to make this list is taken from a small sample size and a very short sector from a single touge. Maybe one day it would be interesting to look at a different touge of sorts that is equally well documented, like Pikes Peak or something...
As an MR-S owner, I'm really happy seeing one be so dominant on the touge. Yes the car factory is underpowered, but even so it is too damn fun. I would highly suggest buying one, just make sure the precats are either dealt with already, or they haven't started killing the engine when you buy it. It's the only issue they really have, as even stock, I've oversteered once, that was in the rain, and on purpose until my lack of experience caused it to snap back. Still saved it tho. Crazy fun little cars.
