I'm really really into buying a facelifted V8 sport. The sound, the looks, the comfort, the interior design and the sound system just made me sold. A GLS or X5 seem so boring next to the Range. Really trying to get a 2 year warranty out of it though.
@@hbmustangs maybe we are talking about different markets? In mainland europe cheapest I could find was 58,500 eur at 170,000 km. If I only include pre facelift.
I would have to stick with the SVR. The 5.0 is a fantastic engine, and the ponies can easily be offset with some inexpensive modifications. The SV One has a degree of rear steering which is nice, but for the price? The look of the SVR still holds up very well, it is one of the nicest-looking SUVs out there.
You're not wrong, but I believe this is the 'tick most options' First Edition. Then again, in a world where top end Skodas are going for 53 - 57k, most things are relative
@@HonestReviews-bc9nyhe obviously knows, I’m pretty sure he’s said the SVR uses an 8 spd in other videos, it’s just a mistake, when you review tons of cars a year it’s easy to mix up info, we’re all human.
Personally I would take the old SVR anyday! I think it looks better both inside and out, but the big factor is that engine. The old 5.0 is just way more characterful and sounds so much better! They are both quick enough for an SUV, and if I cared enough about speed to chose the SV over the SVR I wouldnt be getting either. I would buy an M5 or a Merc GT63s.
Excellent comparison. Tracy is very lucky(with a lot of hard work) to be an owner of both cars. She has a lovely down to earth personality and was also a great addition to the presentation.
Woefully disappointing car compared to the SVR....which was one of the all-time greats. Absolutely loved mine, but the SV failed to excite in comparison...nice, but not worth £200k. And taking on the likes of the DBX, Bentayga, Urus, Cayenne Turbo just highlights how much of a misjudgement this it.
I have the SVR engine in my Defender. It’s off to DMS shortly for a little extra power and I’m quite excited after watching this. Tracey was fantastic, please have her back.
The road, the test was done on, had a 3 degree gradient, when both cars went the same way there was a second difference between them the 3.8 v 4.7 was 3 degree uphill. The second run in the SVR was 4.23 downhill, the SV in the same direction had a bad second launch at 4:.03 as it was red on the display , it must have bogged down during the gear change.🤷🏼♂️
The newer is better, its not everyone that cares about how loud a car sounds cos some people hate it and it annoys them. The newer one needs just an exhaust upgrade and it will sound nicer than standard. So the new one does it for me since it has a BMW engine i wouldn't mind choosing it over the BMW x5M since am a BMW fanboy.
@@caymanblack9567 i really do not care about the noise or a sound it makes I care about the machine that it is. So all round the newer car is better on handling and performance. It's not everyday than ones wants to drive a loud car a matured person mostly needs serenity as most people that I know who owns the older model do not even care about the sound their cars make as they bought their cars purely from the love of the brand.
For how much they increased the price, yet you can still easily mistake it for normal range rover sport, the SVR was way more distinct, this Sv feels pointless in so many regards.
Great video the SVR has the best engine but the SV has more power, even faster, more modern and is definitely the best overall car but at a very high price! I think it’s too much, probably really worth about £140K maybe £150K at a push. The SVR IS A GREAT USED BUY! You’ll love it ❤ I’ll be buying the SV soon!! 😊
I’m lucky enough to have the F Pace SVR. It looks a bit more subtle, but that exhaust note raises more than just a few eye brows. I’ve got a ‘23 edition, so has the project 8 gearbox, so is a mere 3.8s 0-60… it’s brilliantly mad.
The SV’s interior sound is 100% artificial nonsense being pumped in from the speakers. You can buy a mint M5 if you like that, and still have enough money left over to have a mint SVR.
The X5M 2024 is better than the new SV for less money. (same engine) But the SVR for beats both especially now you can fetch a carbon edition one for around 55k.
The sv looks hideous at the back. It's the rules that a range rovers number plate is on the tail gate.. it looks like PT cruiser or Kia. Who ever signed off the rear end lack of design needs locking away. I can't be the only one who feels RR could loose loyal customers because of this.
I do like LR but they have become over priced status symbols for a ser tan class. LR have lost ther heritage and are no longer the chosen work horse of farmers and land owners mainly due to the sheer cost compared to equally or even better Japanese offerings. and LR are know toys for the rich and school run tanks.
The SVR will always have the best sound.
now a facelifted SVR can be bought for 50k its hard to beat.
Absolutely agreed

The new one looks better on the inside..
But I prefer the sound of the previous..
Verdict..SVR ❤❤❤
The new one is ludicrously overpriced.
They have to pay BMW for that engine.
This is a highly optioned first edition, when the entry level version is released it will be cheaper.🤷🏼♂️
Unless u have money to burn, just wait 5-7 years depreciation hits land rovers hard, always has.

I prefer the old one.
SvR is just too good! 🔥 ❤
Nice comparison, just for reference neither use a DCT! Both are 8 speed ZF boxes.
You’re right as well! Apologies and thanks for the info!
How does a dedicated car channel not know what gear boxes are being used. Absolutely baffling.
