Lauren Fix quickly cuts through the propaganda noise and tells it like it is! Thank you so much Lauren! The U.S. has traditionally had a strong car culture. Can you just picture the government trying to fine us for continuing to hold onto our classic ICE powered cars? This isn't the UK, you don't dictate to us, those politicians' careers will be ended!
Thank you. I agree. It’s all about control!

EV’s are great for local driving, as long as the owner has a charger in their garage. The vehicle, however, is subject to spontaneously igniting on fire, which could burn down the house. My son is a retired fireman. He acknowledges that Lithium battery fires are extreme difficult to put out.
Until EV’s get better range per charge, chargers become as common as gas stations, and the fire issue is fixed, EV’s will continue to have limited appeal to the general population.
I work in a lot of automotive plants. To see what is going on inside the plant I look at the parking lot. Pre-COVID parking lot full. Over the last year I have watched the parking lots thin out. Workers retiring and not being replaced. The EVs transmissions production being scaled back because the warehouses are full. Workers with seniority bumping to the ICE lines. What I see is expansion into Hybrids.
Correctly stated
If I could get a cheap car for $10K, who cares about quality.
👍
Correction no one likes electric cars and that is why they don't sell.
I wouldn't say no one, but almost everyone that wanted one already has one.
@@MR3DDev No one other than virtual signaling rich people here in northern Canada wants one.
@@MR3DDevthat is the excuse for car makers to push the issue for more of them.

If someone wants to buy an electric vehicle that's their choice but I'll NEVER buy one
From WC, well I hope all the UAW workers that got their big raise will enjoy it as long as they can, until their layoff notice arrives! Just remember UAW president, Shawn Fain will still be getting his Huge salary, and I know in his concern for you he will direct the Union to keep giving you your high pay even though you are jobless!
What is the one thing all Unions want for their members……MORE! The irony is that they get what they want, but then employers cut jobs, layoffs, and offset their additional cost by replacing their workers with technology. It’s a never ending circle that ultimately accomplishes nothing for either the company or the employees.
These cars nowadays are running from 75 to 80k . Biden and Harris 🥾 out . I think they should always be choice. Fining people for driving gas cars that's not fly here.
They aren’t even possibly close to doing that. California won’t sell ICE vehicles by 2035 but the rest of the country lives in the real world.
High vehicle prices will move jobs offshore
First of all the middle-class workers cannot afford 15 $70,000 cars or trucks. You are too much in debt second of all if they can bring or produce a car and the low class people come by and minimum minimal class goodbye the economy will roll. It's about time that the automotive as we know it today it's going to be out of work and that's because of the government and unions so we have to take it the way it is, when my when will my Walmart came in to the Canada, we lost a lot of jobs
No bailouts for the auto industry. Tell the auto industry and their supporters in Congress to not even think of asking for a bailout. Not again. Never again.
“$10k Chinese EVs are coming!”
Has anyone ever explained how these contraptions will pass NCAP and FMVSS/CMVSS, and still undercut the current manufacturers pricing by $20k?
This is the 2nd time in a week I heard "they have an *electricity* shortage" in England. (Not a shortage of public chargers, an ELECTRICITY SHORTAGE.) I am unable to find anything, ANYTHING, to substantiate this. SOURCE PLEASE.

I live in Canada at Welland in Welland I should say and we have a battery plant that was started to build and they were planning on making batteries for cars but now it's stopped and what I don't like about it is taxpayer money bill that no one is going to be working there
Ms. Know it all thinks the American car buyer is too stupid to spend their own hard earned money!
Government bureaucrats must stop dictating consumer preferences.
Lauren, you have remained the voice of reason in automotive journalism. Thank you for stating the unpopular fact that EVs are not a universal solution.
Thank you Vinny. Much appreciated. I have taken a lot of push back but I'll always tell the truth.
The auto industry needs to return to build to order.
No one buys EVs Never
Lay them all off!!! They make outrageous salaries and they did not need that 11,000 dollar signing bonus just to sign the contract!!!
The United auto workers are why we can't afford new cars and trucks!!!
It’s seems evident that the future (next 20 years) won’t be nor ice nor electric, back to the drawing board.
First arrived will be the richest company on the planet.
It is scary to ponder the possibility of the U.S. government imposing a tax for owning a pre-control module vehicle. I believe the EU model for this will be common place in the U.S. a few short years from now. Hope I'm wrong.
I hope not
because most new trucks suvs cost to high. people debit feel pain. can't afford it
The auto business is in flux. Probably a good time to buy some southern rust free early 2000s gm LS products, or maybe something old with points and condenser that you can run on wood gas 😉
At the end of the day “Nobody can fool the market”, if your product is out of the reasonable affordability range of your customers or doesn’t meet their preferences, simply you’ve to correct directions and/ or shutdown.
American 🇺🇸, German 🇩🇪 automakers, Nissan didn’t bother about Hybrids, reliability, and/ or affordability and now they have to pay the price 💰
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
The length of England from Land's End to John o' Groats is 874 miles, walking distance, You don't even need a car. In Canada, sometimes 874 miles is the distance between gas stations.
Hybrids are not good neither. Expensive to repair and many mechanics not knowledgeable or trained. Or have the diagnostic equipment
You can tell this lady is full MAGA. Funny under Biden the US has become the largest crude oil producer in the world.
Wrong, Chinese cars may be cheaper, but they are not poor quality. Could argue Ford and GM have issues.
2925 will be a recession
BYD’s catch fire like crazy.

It's hilarious how she thinks the only 'domestics' we have left is Ford and GM. Correction: the only domestic that will survive is Tesla.
I wonder where her loyalties lie?
Lauren has numerous posts where she is touting EVs. She's not anti-anything. But she's definitely pro-freedom of choice, freedom of the market. She's very aware that the average US driver can only afford roughly $500/month for car pmt and insurance.
It's not a surprise that when all of the manufacturers went for the affluent demographic that eventually they ran out of consumers to sell to.
" Consumer doesn't know the difference" Yes we do! We know we're getting garbage from the big 3 in the US costing 80 K. Bring the Chinese cars here and let us decide what to buy. Where is our freedom to choose?
Chinese cars will have tariffs with Trump and regular gas cars will have higher fuel prices for Kamala. Choose wisely.
If you want Chinese cars coming here you need to watch this first: "serpentza" "Why China Can't Censor and is Panicking About This EV Disaster" And watch this too: "China Observer" "Total Chaos 25 Million EV Owners Despair as 300 Million EVs Could Cause 42,900 Fires Daily" Your very own Crematorium,,,,,,,,,,,
I am not going to buy EV not now and never .
The EV and gas powered vehicles are the same price now.
Bidenomics
And people cannot afford them, regardless of the propulsion mechanism
I completely agree. And thank you for. 5:59. It is absolutely the truth.
