      If i use the cinema 4d instead of advanced 3D, the effects cant be applied?@@stephanzammit

    • @stephanzammit
      @stephanzammit  2 месяца назад

      You will get very similar results if you use Cinema 4D option. I always like to pre-compose my 3D models (cubes in this case). You can put any effect on the pre-composed layers.

    Just went through the whole thing. Really cool! The only step that I think wasn't shown in the tutorial was creating the "glass scene" comp so make sure to create that after you create your "orb - animation" and "orb animation b&w" comps. Then inside of your "glass scene" comp - add the orb animation comp along w/ your orb animation b&w and do your track matte there.
    Thanks Stephan! 👍

      Thank you :) Make sure you have similar intensity, etc. Of course it's hard to get the exact 3D position like mine, so you might need to play a bit with the position until you get it right. Also the material properties of the objects affect how the point lights show on them.

    how to do the trail of light that follows the orb?

    • @stephanzammit
      @stephanzammit  25 дней назад

      This is a simple line with a stroke width of 1 so that it is very thin. Then you can also use the Taper Edges to make it taper at the end. I can actually go a bit deeper into that in a future tutorial, aas I didn't cover it here.

    • @stephanzammit
      @stephanzammit  23 дня назад +1

      Hi, this would depend on the layer that we are parenting the matte to (the luminance matte). It will need to be half white/ half black for it to pick the right transparency.

    hi, when i make my displacement effect...it doesnt follow the ball...it stills in the center, it s strange i have this kind of issue with the loop visual effect too...

    • @stephanzammit
      @stephanzammit  25 дней назад +1

      Hi yes this si an issue with the displacement effect. You will need to pre-compose the orb before you add this effect. As it will only work when then source layer has the same dimensions as the layer you apply it to. So when you pre-compose, make sure you are using the same resolution.

    I wish you can do a tutorial about how to make smooth animation especially with the easing, easing is the most important aspect in motion design that makes huge difference.
    one of the smoothest motion design I've seen is the youtube channel called "burnwe" just look at how smooth their animations and I believe it's because of the easing techniques they use either using speed graph or value graph.
    I couldn't figure out what magic they use to their animations, I've tried doing it but I couldn't achieve their level especially how the easing that starts slow and snaps quickly at the end.

    • @stephanzammit
      @stephanzammit  2 месяца назад

      Yes this all have to do with the graph editor. The Graph Editor is one of the most important things when it comes to Motion Design in AE. Will surely cover more on that topic. In one of my recent video I actually go over this topic a bit and explain how to create better animations. Have a look here: ruclips.net/video/-gXyTifOZBQ/видео.html
