Canon r6 MII is a professional camera that is obvious to me after a quick research, and better camera grip by miles. The battery life is larger on R6 and overall better for animal photography as well with better IBIS.
Great comparison. FYI though, although the R8 only shoots 6fps in first curtain electronic mode, it will do the same blazing fast 20fps or 40fps in full electronic shutter mode as the R6 Mark II, albeit with a smaller buffer. A very impressive performance for its price point, for the budget minded. 🙂
The model is so beautiful.
I really don’t see lack of IBIS as a deal breaker, I’ve managed quite well without it for 40 years. I would prefer dual card slots but they’re so reliable these days it’s no big deal. But yes the batteries aren’t great but I managed about 1200 shots at a motocross event.
Great Video Review. Thanks 👍🏻
Please make a cinematic video in R8
The R8 has 40 FPS electronic shutter just like the R6 II does
Rolling shutter alert
@@samidaliphoto The rolling shutter is pretty fast exactly like the R6 II.
@@robertm3951 yeah and it’s a deal breaker for me. 40fps is stupid with such terrible rolling shutter.
@@samidaliphoto I guess I was not clear.
The rolling shutter is not terrible at all.
It is not practical for fast moving birds or plane propellers but it is fine for most things.
I use my R5 more than my R3 and the R8 is faster then the R5.
@@robertm3951 i got it however I prefer R6’s 12fps mechanical 📸
R8 is not weather sealed
It is.
Just not to the same level as the R6 II.
I wish everyone used IP ratings like OM.
The whole thing is murky.
I've shot with the camera at the beach with plenty of waves splashing. The camera didn't get drenched, but it did get wet and was perfectly fine.
I am considering buying the Canon R6II camera.
It's the final day of the Canon cashback. so we suggest ordering asap - www.georges.com.au/products/canon-eos-r6-mark-ii
