What i like about UEFN is that it doesn't lag as much as Creative 1.0 on a map with the memory almost maxed out

Wow, the timing of you uploading this video. I was stressing last night that I'm unable to publish my map the way I built it. Now I can publish it today thanks to you! I've subcribed and going to check out your other UEFN videos. I've built an Only Up style game, do you know how to eliminate players that fall into the ocean? My problem is, the items stretch quite far out over the ocean and the elimination pad is not big enough for when players fall into the ocean. Cheers again dude!
Try resizing the pad like you do with props to the sides and try, I think it also resizes the zone itself

I’ve been working on a map for months now only for it to now be well over the memory limit. I tried this method and it worked somehow despite me only getting errors, but now for some reason i’m even more over the memory limit. Months of work down the drain. But thank you for this video it is very helpful!
strange, for me i was starting out a new one and got quickly up to 48k memory and when i did this every region dropped to 8k-10k except for the area i worked on which was like 30k

Hey directing Pete there is a glitch in one of my creative maps where the sentry’s spawn in but they’re invisible, I shoot through them, and they shoot silently and I’ve tried to fix it for weeks and I really don’t know what to do
Pete, I followed your advice on not including stuff in the HLOD but I don’t wish to mess with the terrain outer in the sea (pool water sea) but I keep getting an error (Build failed! See log for details) where it won’t build.
I’m curious if I have to remove the current HLOD previously added by another user in the past then built the new one or does the HLOD overwrite the previous one? I’ll be open to message on discord

Hey pete, I created some HLODS and they seemed to create them perfectly fine. But one I tried to launch a session, it says my map isn't validated, even though I have no imported assets. Any tips to help?
Even i checked include actor in hlod, it doesnt appear in distance, the object is blimp tailcone nodestory c3

bro after I build hlod the project istn validate and now I cant revert this change, thx!
you can revert it by clicking "build hlods" --> " delete hlods"
Also check the errors message you should find wich props cant have Hlod
How do I put the assets in the hlod? Do I Have to click on each item and enable it or is there a faster way?
You have to click on each one or choose a group of them in the outliner

How to update the minimap and increase the size to show a bigger world in UEFN. My minimap is small.

It's not working for me
HElP! I made my system rebuild the HLOD's after some mods to my island, and the size doubled! How do I delete the HLOD's and start fresh or make them fully regenerate? The DEV documentation is for an older version of UEFN and isn't applicable to my situation at all....I've read every bit of docu to research this to no avail and I don't wanna start from scratch on this hours of editing ive already done.
Did you fix it? If not TELL ME WHAT To do!!!!
After I built my hlods my maps memory doubled instead of decreasing
How do you even get it to work whenever I try it it either fails or no message pop up saying it failed.

I tried doing this and my island got stuck with 14 errors. It’s not your fault though.. uefn is just really weird.

@@DirectingPete Yeah. It’s saying I have “disallowed materials” and even if I get rid of them it still doesn’t work. I just had to delete my hlod and make a new one.
Man I'm not seeing much difference. My map has less than yours and I can't get it under 160k memory. Everything I use is an instance except 1 npc. Idk wth is wrong.
I’m not sure what happened and it’s definitely not your fault, Pete, but my map is cooked now. I went from 88,000 memory used to 98,000 and now I have no clue how to revert it to the way it was. I really hope there’s a way to fix this. Please help, Pete.
Cooking your map can possibly increase memory. You can go to build HLODs and then delete HLODs but back up your project first
@@DirectingPete sorry, wrong choice of words. I meant “cooked” as in “ruined” because it’s at nearly 100,000 storage now.
