That’s great but Polene has up their price. Now that they are competing with luxury brands they will up their price even more. Coach did it several years ago. I have luxury from 20 years ago. Still in great condition. Nowadays I stick to the basics. I know it’s not popular but would love to see the quality on Dooney specifically Florentine, Alto and Pebble leathers. I would also be interested in Tory Burch as well.

Dooney's Florentine is incredible. I have bags that are 20 years old and they still look new beyond minor, unavoidable corner wear. The canvas trimmed with vachetta is pretty and durable but needs to be babied a bit to keep the vachetta looking nice. The new bags are not as heavy as they once were, but the quality is still there. I'll never understand why they fell out of fashion but they remain my favorite brand thanks to Coach being so inconsistent over the years. Don't get me wrong. Coach is very fun, but the quality is all over the place from year to year. Tory Burch... I have only one so no real opinion beyond enjoying the one bag.
@@JP-sx7fq I own several Dooneys in the Florentine leather. The Clayton is my favorite that I purchased years ago but it’s so heavy. He did a test on the Alto leather under Dooney and gave it good reviews. Still waiting for the Florentine test.

Polène can never compete with established old brands. The huge fashion houses will simply buy them.

They are having real problems with their bags right now and many, many, many complaints. BEWARE!!

Nobody buys LV for the quality. It’s for the design and name, any high quality is a bonus.
I buy high quality fakes. Pretty much just pay the premium leather cost. My Rolex and girls bag are under 1k and look and function the exact same as the same set that cost 30k.
@f3mcell def not cap. There are a bunch of subreddits dedicated to high quality replicas that range from 400 to 3k in price

Great undervalued & affordable brands fabricated in Spain with premium leather and materials:
1. MIUUR.
2. Surarquia (Barcelona).
3. HEDEN.
4. Paris 64.
I have to say though there is no consistency with Polène. I bought one that was fantastic and bought the same bag in a different color that was horrific (scratchy leather, poor finishing where the edges/trim weren’t smoothed out). Their customer service also definitely did not fall into luxury and they refused to take back the bag without me having to pay extortionate return fare for oversees shipping. I personally wouldn’t buy from them again after that awful experience and do not recommend them for that alone.

@@kaix6023 I would say, if you’re ever in Paris, NY, or Tokyo, and you still want the bag, going into their boutiques would be the safest way to buy. I’ve been totally put off by them but they do have cute designs.
He’s biased. He did an ad for them so. Used to respect him but he’s ignoring all the complaints about their quality.
It’s not that we don’t care about status - but if you already have status (and self esteem) you don’t need a huge label to try and fake it.
If you want to sell it, it is important to have your bag status. Nobody will buy a pre loved Fake Chanel or a Kate Spade bag in full price.
Bag have status. People do not.

Sadly unlikely. People don't buy luxury products for quality, they buy it for perceived status. Everything else is the mental justification for the purchase.
LET'S REMEBER: LV, Chanel, Prada, Gucci, Hermès, Celine, etc. used to once be like Polène. A new brand.
In years to come, Polène will be an established brand just like how luxury brands today became established over the years.

Forgot the name of the channel but thry sell new and owned "luxury" bags. In the most recent story they calculated how much a Chanel classic flap costed in 1955) 250 pounds) and now with the fair inflation rate (2500 pounds) and how much it actually costs in a store (10 550 pounds). Insane markup! Just insane!
I won’t buy a “luxury” brand bag if it was made after the mid 90’s. That seems to be when quality took a backseat to well, everything. There are a few brands I *may* purchase newer styles but I do as much “hands on research” I can (any and everything but tear it apart) and only two or three brands. And even then, some styles and lines may be a better quality than a different line within the same design house. For me bags are as much a financial investment as they are a fashion statement and I try to invest wisely.
I plan on passing my collection of bags on to my daughter and nieces so I need to know I’m spending smart $$ and not just buying “designer shite”.

Polene have attractive innovative designs too. I must admit, even if I was filthy rich I wouldn't touch Hermes or Louis Vuitton; I just don't like their tired impractical designs. I would be all over pre-loved vintage Chanel though.

I’m done paying just for a label. I’ve bought 2 pair of Prada loafers and three pair of their sneakers and 4 pair of LV shoes and none are very comfortable and the Prada sneakers fall apart faster than 40.00 Puma sneakers.

but the consumer 90 or 99% doesnt know the history of their luxury , status and branded bag. they always see the name because of status. were divided who is want quality over pricey or pricey because of the name. too pricey because they are expanding and more and more ads. to get the eye of the consumer. but the other company or makers stay still in quality that mostly doesnt know them(consumer) how good are the product.
It’s willful ignorance at this point. Because those who can afford to buy a luxury product, also have a handheld computer at their fingertips.
A quick search will provide endless and free information.
not all concern about history and can do a research commonly on oldies. but you can if you are curious. like me although i dont have a money to buy their product but i want to know how they survive the business they established and knowing why it cost how expensive or to justify the cost of the product.

Can you do Bukvy? She only has a couple of styles. And while I like the look, the leather, functionality of her bags I feel could be better. I can’t explain it, maybe the weight but could be a good thing for many. And it was just around $500 price point so I feel worth it.

People buy luxury bags for the value of it, not necessarily the quality😅 I’d much rather buy from midrange brands than a Polene bag as it still costs too much for what it is. You’ll loss 50-70% of the retail price once you use it, whereas LV/Chanel/Hermes bags retain their value and even increase after some time

$500 is still an expensive bag and I would expect that level of quality at that price point. I actually expect a $2500 bag to be of lesser quality than a $500 bag.
Truly, if a brand can’t produce a bag that is as high quality as my winter boots, it is a scam. I haven’t found a “luxury brand” bag to be “luxury” ever. It’s a logo and evidence of clout chasers with poor taste in craftsmanship.

Now we can shop good leather without feeling guilty of spending too much money and support the people who deserve it. I checked out your bags as well, and they are phenomenal! I have already started to save up.
If you’re buying a bag that has the brand logo plastered all over it like Louis Vuitton, you’re definitely not bothered about the fact you can get as good a quality bag for much cheaper. Why buy cheaper when you can pay more to ensure everyone knows you once had $2,500?
